I'll change my post if it bothers you, but what gave you the idea that Erudessa and her ring were behind the counteracting of the spell's effect for The Storyteller when I stated that it was the voice that was doing so?

Because that would be God-moding, and you wouldn't do that to us.
@rush99999
The Storyteller's strength cannot simply remain while the Warlock casts his spell. Just having the ring isn't enough to guarantee that the spell won't work on him. The Storyteller has to ask Erudessa for what he wants, and she'll tailor a spell for him based on his abilities, character, and tactical situation. Tiberius got a simple strength spell, while Kaite is going to get something considerably more complicated. The Storyteller should be weakened like everyone else, and then I'll handle Erudessa's response as appropriate.

Also consider that Vert's subplot is still active. She's supposed to be the hero here at the moment. We need to support her until the subplot comes to a close. Not saying you can't try to supplant her or do your own thing, though.
Just wanna make sure I have this right. The big ugly bastard the champions are currently trying to fight has cast a spell that has robbed them of their strength, but said strength can be restored with but a wish upon their rings. This is what has happened, correct?

Yes, that's about the gist of it. The rings are connected to a mana source and casting method outside the range of the spell.
and I just remebered. There are different degrees of casual here. Would this rp be Low-Casual or High casual?

It depends on what you mean by the terms. But I think you're asking the wrong question. I designed the RP to be easily accessible while keeping a higher degree of control over character and post quality. "Casual" seemed like the best fit for my goals.

Put another way, I didn't craft the RP around casual-ness; I chose the casual tag because of how the RP was crafted. A better question to ask is, "What kind of RP do we really want?"
ok I hate to be devils advocate but I gotta ask.

What do you think the difference between a casual rp and a advanced rp is?

Cause what @xenocyanide seems to want to me is an advanced rp. This is casual isn't it? Didn't we all come here to have fun?

A casual RP bridges the gap between accessible fun and controlled story structure. Advanced RPs require a deep understanding of literary technique, which entails impeccable grammer, quality writing skills, and good storytelling ability. You have to consider not just how good your individual post is, but how it fits into the greater whole of the tale.

I can pull that off in a pinch, but it's a lot of work. Casual takes a load off without sacrificing too much of the story, at a cost of reduced post quality. A downside of casual RP is that stories can more easily go off the rails into dead ends.

EDIT: What Xeno said.
@XenoCyanide@Thinslayer
Yes I think that Xeno's reply seems quite about right. You've been basically too structuring as your job as GM and I know that it is a big responsibility but if you make sure to keep both a kind and gentle hand on the RP as well as making sure that everything is in order that would be nice. Just a suggestion here because as soon as I entered the RP I felt like everything was so forced and structured and hard wired.

I can understand that. You're not entirely wrong - I do tend to err on the side of more structuring. But at the same time, I've done my darndest to give players the freedom to carve their own path through the RP, and nobody takes the hint, so I pretty much have to go back to a more structured RP.

Everyone's characters have always been free to do whatever they want. You didn't have to join the party. You didn't have to submit to Xen'Desh's leadership. You can leave the party at any time, and even join the Warlock if you want. I'll support you if you want to do something different. In fact, Kaite almost did just that.

The fact that she didn't is the basis for this RP. That's the big secret of this story, and the true premise behind it all - if you follow the main path laid out for you, you'll find yourself playing the role of the villain. Fighting destiny, the "destiny" I've given you, is where the fun really begins.
@Thinslayer

This is what I mean. The entire RP is thrown out of whack because there is this "I must post as much as possible" mentality. I've already made it a point earlier to say that many people are posting half-assed. People are being left behind, the quality of posts is waning, which in turn is making people lose interest, and now with the introduction of your friend, character relationships feel forced.

Why would Xen give a shit about Vert? I don't mean that in a 'screw Vert' way, but there wasn't enough explored between all characters. Everyone was very impatient on starting the journey and all of a sudden there was a warg attack. That's fine. It's the wilderness, shit happens, but what wasn't expected was the sudden appearance of a "wtfpwnurface" character. The godmodding in Dark's post was just shocking to read and as I was contemplating how best to have Xen react to the situation, I'm now left wondering if I shouldn't just go take a seat on a log and rest my head on my hands.

I'm not sure if I'm explaining it properly, but it seems like you're attempting to shove so much into the RP so quickly that everything else is being neglected, including players.

Darkwatck wasn't godmodding. He's playing the Warlock, and we worked out the details of the spell he just cast. It's powerful, but there are ways to beat it. The Heart Rings are one of them.

As for the RP, speed wasn't what I was aiming for. I was aiming for ease of access. I have personally abandoned many RPs whenever I felt overwhelmed. I would rather have an RP full of shitty posts than a dead one. Now, theory and real life don't always coincide, so we're going to see if instituting a posting order will help keep the RP alive.
@ineffable
I'm sorry. I'm just really conflicted right now. On the one hand, I completely understand - I often engage in multiple RPs myself, sometimes to the detriment of the previous ones. And frankly, that's not very good RP behavior, and I'm not really in a good position to criticize you on that point. Which leads to my feelings on the other hand: You haven't posted for days. You're more valuable to the story than you realize, and many of us have been waiting on you. All this time we've been working hard to try and accommodate you, only to find out that you've merely been absent. The last time you posted was 4 days ago. I can't rightly criticize you, but it's hard for me to sympathize, either. Can you not see my frustration here?

I even worked out a role for you in the greater plot, after weeks of worrying about your inactivity. I really liked the idea of your character, and still do. I don't ask for much. All I ask for is a half-decent post every day or do. You can post pretty much whatever and whenever you want. And if it's still too difficult for you to manage, I am prepared to lead you through the RP as a proxy character or something.

All I need in return is a little bit of loyalty. I won't ask you to stop RPing elsewhere, nor would I want you too. Heck, I could probably be persuaded to join you myself. Am I asking too much?
@XenoCyanide We can't really afford to lose any more players. You've all become vital to the story. Plus, recruiting new players grows astronomically more difficult as post count increases. I'd rather change how the RP is run before losing another player.

@Cuccoruler The way things are going now is basically freeform/no posting order. It just doesn't seem that way since everyone has been so busy lately and some of us are waiting on key replies from players who aren't here. As XenoCyanide has pointed out, @ineffable hasn't posted for days, and it may be due in part to our freeform posting order.

EDIT: Upon reviewing ineffable's profile, availability appears to be the least of her problems. She has been RPing in The Masquerade lately.
Ivan couldn't believe this creature's strength, with one swing of its zweihander, Ivan was bashed to the side like he was nothing. He was knocked to the same level as Vert and a big dent was shown on his shield, anymore force and it would've been shattered. "Gah! What is this thing!? Alright buddy, you asked for.... It?" Before Ivan could bring his blade up he had already noticed the sparks vanish from his weapon, in fact his whole body felt heavy, almost as if his own energy had been drained by this being, and by the looks of things, it was effecting everyone.

"Tch... No way we'll fall in line to some... Creature of darkness..." But what could they do? They were all but weakened by the initial wargs and now their magic was all but drained. If they didn't do something quick... "Wait a minute... But will they even... Agh... It's worth a shot... Eru... Erudessa or whoever you may be... We need help... And we need it badly." Ivan spoke to ring on his finger, if there wasn't a response or a sign that they could be saved, then it was game over for them.

Warmth and strength flooded back into him.

Erudessa had heard him.
