Fight of flight type of scenario is what you're aiming for, if I understood correctly. I always strived for neutrality or on the line in my RPs/character ideologies, that's why I was thinking of something neutral.
If I'm not mistaken, this will be basically a slice-of-life RP in GoT universe with a few twists. Correct?
For a character, I would probably go towards a not-so-lady-like Lady, meaning she learned to fight (no, I'm not thinking Arya) with a sword and is interested in fighting more than being a lady-in-waiting. Does that sound ok for you? I can think of something different if needed.

Maybe the village is located near the ruins of a long extinct nation of which no one knows a lot about. It should give our characters a lot of "adventurers" that come for the ruins to interact with. Another plot could be some kind of war with neighboring kingdoms could give our characters interesting subjects to talk about, changes etc.
Just some wild ideas I've got. If interested, we can work something out together over PMs if needed.
