@Digizel Just have him fall out of the sky. Happens all the time. You could do lots of things with Botamon, like him just sorta, drifting there by happenstance, being in a tree above, or drifting over on a piece of bark in the nearby stream. Heck, he could enter in some impossible way, like out of a ground socket, or just end up in Hideki's backpack. DigiWorld's weird.

Heh. Yeah, but I have been out of touch with the series for a while now. xD And I haven't played a non-Fighting Digimon game since Digimon World Data Squad or Dawn/Dusk.

Hm.... Well, I'd really like Agumon for sure, if that's doable. xD Greymon I'd be more willing to let go of, though. He and the Ultimate forms I wouldn't mind ditching. As for caring for a Digimon...I wouldn't be so sure. Once he got over the initial shock of everything, he'd be rather intrigued by them. Once he learns that these Digimon don't want to hurt him, he'd probably want to do what he could to keep them in good condition. Especially while they're still in their In-training form or lower, where they look particularly pet-like. xD

@Lugia - Yeah, I know about the giant web of possible Digivolutions. I use Wikimon for everything Digimon. xP But I was particularly looking for any that I would particularly like to have. xD

Really? You didn't know about Victory Greymon? Yeah, basically War Greymon with a huge sword and modified armor, but very Virus Buster indeed. Are you okay with the Rookie and Champion being a bit different than Agumon and Greymon? I mean, it'd take a while for anyone to get their stride with caring for a Digimon, yah?

It's triggered on level-up(because it is level-up, but there may be times when a GM has to ask them to hold back on leveling for narrative's sake, I guess), and, as of now, the requirements are DM's Choice. In this setting, no, you won't revert and achieve an alternate form, not unless you get knocked back significantly far- then it can happen, if there's a significant difference in care or the dynamic between the two. I hope that answers your question.

Well, just in case something happens where it wouldn't be necessarily War Greymon, or, if something awesome happens and I think you could get something better than WarGreymon.

Ah, I see. Good, makes sense. Everything seems in order now. I have to say, I'm liking the "proto-lawyer" build. I was thinking of having character type suggestions in the rulebook, and this doesn't seem like a bad idea.

Yeah. I'll let you know, getting those specific Digimon might be pretty hard. I totally understand your feelings, but at the same time, well, Greymon's tough to get, at least in games where you can get different forms based on different stats. I won't make it impossible, but Hideaki better take good care of Botamon is all I'm saying. What are some alternate Megas that you would not be opposed to using?

And, since we're talking about it, I'd personally like to go with Pabumon-> Tanemon-> Mushroommon-> Woodmon-> Blossomon-> Gryphonmon, if I can manage that.
