John is a tall fellow that towers over most people with lean, strong muscles all over his body from years of archery. He has wide jaws, that make something that's almost like a square face, with low cheekbones, and slightly hallowed cheeks; his eyebrows have an arch at the lateral ends and his eyes are slightly wider than almond shapes. His lips are full, his nose medium in size, and he has a shaven beard framing his chiselled-like face, which he keeps trimmed since he really doesn't know whether he wants a full beard or a clean shaven face, he sees it as a compromise of both and is satisfied with it. His chin is rounded, and slightly wide, and he frames his lips with a thin moustache that connects to his small beard. He also has a tattoo on his right shoulder of a compact bow and another tattoo on the wrist of the same hand depicting a small arrow.
John's hair has seen many styles before, from shoulder-length and kinky, to almost bald. He now keeps it a medium-short length and jelled, to give his curly hair a sort of sheen to it, that fades as it goes downward towards the side of his head and back. He also has a stud on his right ear that he recently got.

Personality
Innate & Outward Personality:
Outgoing would be one way to describe John. He's the type of person that anyone will get along with, he's funny, and likes cracking jokes here and there, and laughs quite easily. He usually goes out of his way to make people laugh or put a smile on their face even towards those he doesn't exactly know. Friendly would be another way to describe his personality, he always has a smile on his face, and it rarely ever falters unless he's concentrating on his powers or his studies. Often, he will put others before himself in an act of selflessness, although he does this so that others would owe him favours in the future.
He is as confident as he is outgoing, and with that confidence comes his manipulative nature. He never shows it outwardly, but it's there as a sort of undertone to get his friends and people he knows to do what he wants, and his patience pays off in this. He believes that good manners and a smiling face is the strongest thing to break a person's natural defences when dealing with strangers, and a good way to form trust between individuals, which he exploits for his own personal gains. This in no way means that Johnathan is a person with dark intentions, he only does this because it is more convenient for someone else to do something for him rather than him doing it himself.
The one thing that suppresses his manipulative nature is his sense of responsibility and discipline. Those two traits, which his parents have instilled in him from a young age have given him a sense of foresight, allowing him to predict with reason whether or not a certain action will have good or bad consequences, and he acts accordingly. John's discipline also aids in his patience, a virtue with which he is known by, never once having gotten enraged nor giving up in a certain skill just because he was bad at it. To John, his patience and discipline are the most prized aspects of himself and he endlessly thanks his parents for having hammered the importance of each into his mind while he was still young.

Johnathan is interested in sports and games, and was an avid gamer before he was sent to the Academy. He also enjoys playing pool, swimming, and occasionally gambling.
Skills/Talents:
Archery is one of John's best skills, and having spent years training in archery has given him a great physique with powerful back muscles and wide shoulders. Although, it has made his right arm slightly bigger and stronger than his left, which is a little noticeable when he's not wearing a shirt. He is also quite good in drawing, and draws frequently whenever he can. Along with this is his talent with cooking. As a kid, he used to watch cooking shows with his baby sitter, and has picked up more than a few skills in the art.

History/Bio:
Johnathan grew up more privileged than most, having a doctor as a mother and a lawyer as a father. Although he grew up in a rich household, him and his siblings were by no means spoiled. From a young age, their father would teach them about responsibility and discipline, rationalizing that learning such important values in the beginning stages of their life would only get stronger as they grew older. Also, in an effort to make the children advanced in learning, their parents hired a tutor to teach John and his siblings before they each went to school, so that by the time they entered, they would know what was going on and have a good grasp on things.
John's parents found, after a few years of elementary school, that he had an easier time with activities rather than learning, and accommodated him with tutors that would approach learning from a hands-on perspective, which aided him in his learning a great deal. A few years down the line, when he was a year from entering middle school, John and his mother discovered that he had powers by accident. He was in the kitchen, helping his mother with preparing the Sunday meal when his hand passed over a banana replicating five more of the fruit. His mother saw what happened and asked him to do it again, and three more bananas appeared when he swiped his hand over it once more.
His mother, being the natural scientist, was curious about her son's powers while John's father was worried of the legal scrutiny that would befall the family if they found that his son was a metahuman. After discussing it with him, they decided that since he didn't have a certification, he would only practice at home under their supervision while he continued his normal school until he graduated and head to the 218 Academy. Agreeing to this, John continued school seemingly as a normal student and took up archery when he was in seventh grade until he graduated from high school. His high school life was no different than any other student's. He had his friends, he joined the varsity football team as a wide receiver, and no one had any idea that he was far from normal.
After graduating as one of the top students in his year, he spent a couple of months with his parents, his older siblings having gone off to university. John felt a little strange he wasn't going to university, and instead to an academy for metahumans like him; he didn't find it uncomfortable by any means, but it was a hard thing to explain to his then girlfriend about where he was headed, and although they didn't break up immediately, the relationship was strained until it naturally dissipated when he left.

They called it quantity manipulation. Johnathan is able to increase or decrease the number of a number of solid objects before him, and he does this by swiping his hand a few inches over the object which replicates an exact copy of the original, which allows him to have an infinite amount of whatever the object is. He usually uses his power for the single steel-tipped arrow in his quiver, which indirectly gives him an unlimited supply of rounds for his compact bow. He can also increase and decrease the size of certain objects, and he does this by moving his hands inwards into the object, which causes it to shrink in size, or expand is hands outward which makes it grow.
Limits:
The limits for this power are three. The size of the object, his arm-span, and his endurance. If the object he wants to replicate is more than a fifth of his weight, 35 lbs, than he can only replicate the object two times on either side of it, and if it's more than a third of his weight, he can only replicate it once. The second limitation to his power is his arm-span. If the object he wants to replicate is less than 35 lbs, then he can replicate it as wide as his hands can go with an inch of space between each replicated item. The third limit is how many sets of replications he can do that is less than a fifth of his weight, which is only three sets. After that, he becomes to tired to replicate any more items. As for objects that are above a fifth of his weight, he can only do one set of replications and cannot go beyond that without overexerting himself.

The city was eerily quiet. They had come in to see the source of a recent explosion, and although it had caused quite a bit of chaos at first, it seemed now that everyone had left the area. Too fast, he told himself as he looked around the empty street, flyers and paper littered the asphalt road with shattered glass adding to the mess. It looked like a scene from an apocalypse horror movie, and Johnathan prayed nothing like that had occurred. He heard Sarah breathe a curse and turned towards her, she was looking into a wide building with its windows shuttered with burnt wood. She stepped back and retched on the side walk, and Johnathan stepped past her to see what had caused his friend to go sick.
What he saw disgusted him. The sight alone caused his stomach to feel like it was rolling down a hill and he forced himself to swallow the rising bile and pulled himself away from the horrific scene before him, then turned to see a man with a red duster and blue glasses step out of an alleyway, singing maniacally to himself. Sarah, who recovered from her fit, stepped up beside him, and he saw the hatred and disgust in her eyes. She made to move towards the murderer, but John stuck his hand out, and shook his head. The man was dangerous, he seemed unpredictable in his power usage which was still going strong despite all the destruction. Facing him head on would be near suicide for him and his partner; they had the element of surprise on their side, and it wouldn't be wise to toss it away due to emotional suffering.
John took two items off from his charm bracelet and expanded them before himself; his bow and quiver. Placing the bow beside him, he unzipped the top of his quiver and pulled out his single steel-tipped arrow and placed it on the floor, then swiped both hands over it horizontally, more arrows appearing on either side of the original. Johnathan scooped them up and placed them in his quiver which he tied to his back, and grabbed his bow, then turned to Sarah and gave her a firm nod. He watched as a disk of light appeared under her feet and she began floating into the air, then she started hovering forward and Johnathan turned to a nearby building and scaled its side and followed Sarah, going from roof top to roof top. He gave his partner the signal when he was in position, and a beam of light shot out from her outstretched arms. Moments later he heard a crash and a string of curses.
The man in the red duster came out of the building, smoke rising from his body as a large ball of fire swirled like miniature suns on each of his palms, a deep sneer on his face. Johnathan watched as he threw the fire balls at his partner who had the sense to fly away, and subsequently kept the rogue metahuman's attention off of him. John knocked an arrow and pulled the string back as he breathed in, his muscles tightening and straining under the force of the pull; he took aim, and as he breathed out he released the arrow and watched it plunge into the man's left knee. He heard the man let out a cry of pain as he toppled to the ground. His left leg now useless, he turned back and Johnathan caught the man's eye and knocked another arrow. As he was pulling back he saw the man was reading another throw of a fire ball, and he pulled back jumping off the building to the next.

John landed in a roll and used the momentum to stand and looked up to see the man readying another round of fireballs when Sarah flung a whip of pure white light that snapped around the man's neck. Seeing his opening, He knocked an arrow and shot in the span of a second and a half, watching the arrow bury itself into the man's heart. The maniac shuddered for a few moments as the life ebbed away from him, then lay still on the asphalt, blood pooling under him. Turning from the body, John took his remaining arrows and set them on the concrete roof in a single line, then swiped his hand over them going inwards, and watched as his remaining arrows converged into the one arrow in the centre. He grabbed the singular arrow, put it back into his quiver, and shrunk both it and his bow and connected them to his charm bracelet and descended the building.
