Wildest thing I learned was that the Mistborn series is loosely tied with the Stormlight Archive in this incredible novel universe Sanderson is making.

I think The Long Night was amazing. The Battle of Helm's Deep for GoT, and it pulled it off wonderfully.

This is a bit late, but 2019 has officially been blessed by Tom Brady. Thank you for coming to my TED Talk.

Bio

Yo! I'm Torack, you can call me Jay!

I've been RPing for a long, long time. I blame it on my overactive imagination, but it's a wonderful medium to put all these creative ideas into some sorta use. My favourite genre is fantasy. Straight up fantasy. It can be high fantasy, low fantasy, dark, modern. I love fantasy, grew up with it. I also like sci-fi, dystopian settings, etc.. Characterization and character driven stories are my favourite type of RPs, I like seeing them grow and change and the way characters react to completely shit and horrible situations. It's always a fun time.

Personally, my hobbies include reading, although recently the only types of reading I've been doing is from text books ffs. I like sports, any type of sport really, except soccer. My legs are way too clumsy for that sport. Music is something I love, R&B mostly, although I'll listen to mostly anything.

I also love pie. Pie is life, especially pecan pie. It's damn near traumatizing knowing that I haven't eaten any in like five years. Sad times.

whoops accidentally wrote the IC post here. Oh, god.
@aviendha The first thing that came to me was that! I loved that scene, hella funny. Had me chuckling.
Oh, I know that. I'm actually curious what they do if isn't the binary method? I heard somewhere they're not even conceived, but sort of just pop out of mountains lol
Oh no, I wasn't looking at it in a "conventional" manner, I was just curious how the hormones functioned to get the dwarves to have beards. But it does make sense how they would have a totally different set and levels of hormones, particularly the growth hormone. Hehe.

But from an evolutionary view, how would they conceive? I'm guessing they'd be able to differentiate a female from a male? I'm getting too bogged down in this, allow it lol
I always found a little disconcerting how female dwarves also have beards. What would differentiate them during their development if they have so much testosterone to give them such massive beards? Or would their testosterone come in after puberty or after a certain age when they don't need estrogen anymore? Unnecessary details when it comes to fantasy races, I know, but it just gets to me when fantasy races have certain unexplainable characteristics, innit.
The darkness around Kaito Fen didn’t hinder his skills in anyway – even if it was pure darkness. Instead, he kept his eyes closed, as the dimness of the shadow along with the shadowy figures would confuse his eyes, and that damned music coming from Grey Skies would only further disorient him. Instead all of his attention was on the writhing forms of the two dragons in the center of his mind’s eye and the two flanking creatures that were now beginning to attack him.

Kaito Fen exploded into motion. On the balls of his feet, he danced around in a frantic, almost chaotic fashion, his swords swinging with such skill that it seemed they were everywhere at once as parried and tried to counter every single attack from the flanking beasts. He felt more than a few hits land on his exposed chest, felt the blood escaping his open wounds, but this only drove him to put everything he had into destroying these two massive beasts.

Suddenly, he rushed towards the creature on his left, swords whirling and keening in the air as he tried to get beyond its arms and into its misshapen body.
Kaito's gonna go ham on this too. He knows what's coming, but he's not going down without some blood on his swords, you know. It's gon be epic!
Kaito Fen’s arms slowly dropped as the four massive figures took shape before him, his eyes widening within his mask as he straightened, listening to the strange, nonsensical music coming from Grey Skies. Once, adrenaline had been coursing through his veins, but for an entirely different reason. Now, he felt cold sweat at his skin as terror began to set in by those large incomprehensible beasts that took shape. Four massive creatures that threatened to break his mind with their constant shifting and writhing upon themselves. And despite the terror – and the dread realization that now began to set itself into his bones – he smiled.

This was exactly as he hoped. A spectacle like no other, a fight that would awe everyone in the crowd, and there was his chance, growing before him. He knew there stood two choices before him now. To lay down and give in; to fall without honour. Kaito Fen wouldn’t do that, it wasn’t in his nature. He had too much honour to lay down and watch defeat creep upon him. No, instead he would stand before those dread creatures and fight them with every ounce of skill he had in him; the skill he would display, he knew, was both beautiful and deadly, ferocious even, yet against this… well he knew what his fate would be.

Yet he smiled.

Grey Skies’s magic would be sorely tested before he was done, this he could promise, and when he fell it would be in such a way, in such a magnificent show of will and courage, that he could already see the jaws hanging from the onlookers as their eyes dampened. The fall of a hero against unlikely odds, against these four creatures of shadow.

Then, as the creatures began rushing him from all sides, he closed his eyes and breathed deep. Darkness enveloped his mind’s eye and at its center, a focal point, wherein he concentrated his entire being – the form of two swirling dragons, tumultuous in their rage, unparalleled in fury or power – and a deadly barely contained calm settled upon him as he took the stance of his most deadly dance. Wrath of The Twin Dragons.
