Max rolled his eyes at Sunshine as se dangled in the air calling him a murderer. "At most it was manslaughter. You try going on a mission with no plan and see how well it goes! Things are bound to do wrong and people are bound to mess up. But we live and we learn and we try to move on! But all you seem to be able to do is cling to the past and get weighed down by it. Memento Mori and all that shit." Max began to roam about the room, looking at all the odds and ends that Pietro had collected, walking softly in a small circle. He didn't dare touch anything after what happened to Sunshine. After a few moments he began to hear an odd sound, looking up to see Sunshine gnawing at the rope like a plague infested rat trying to break through. He stood back and watched for a moment before realizing that they were wasting time and she would never apologize for who she is.

He let out a large sigh and followed the rope. Checking to see how Pietro would disarm it and realized that with all things in life it involved speed. Great. Max tried to find another way, seeing the soft mattress and deciding that would be the best bet for her escape. He grabbed the corners and dragged the moldy thing under her, dropping it with a thud as some dust kicked up from thr disgusting thing. "I can't believe I'm doing this" Max grumbled under his breath as he conjured up a sharp dagger to help cut her free. The M-Pox had really done a number on his mind, fogging it just enough to make him forget he could've simply conjured it in her hand. He had also forgotten his levitation that he had only moments before done instinctualy. So instead he opted to throw the sharp dagger at Sunshine, it going up and barely reaching the halfway point before falling down and imbedding into the mattress. "damn it...hold on"

The sensation was weird. Like a high powered vibrator placed on his spine that sent pulses along his back. He still couldn't feel his legs but there was a presence there, a tingling sensation of pins and needles as Glimpse reached down inside him. "Normally I'd ask for dinner first" He joked as his voice vibrated as if speaking through a fan. Even after she had pulled out the piece the feeling lingered, his body tingling as he felt a soothing wave now hit him. It felt so...personal. The connection he had with James as he felt his body repair itself. Feeling flowed back into his lower half, his legs tensing then relaxing, calves pulsing back to life and finally his big toe wiggling. "Thank you Uma Therman." The words left silently as the dirt blew away from his mouth. There was pause as James and Sapphire said their pieces, the latter leaving them.

Echo exhaled a long draft of air before pushing himself off the ground and attempting to stand up. His legs caved a bit from the numbness and his clones immediately rushed to his aid, holding him up and helping him get the feeling back. "Seriously, thank you guys so much. You have no idea how much this means to me. Now if you'll excuse me I have a sister to dote on and some food to eat. Boys?" The clones acted like crutches, helping him take his steps one at a time as the shock of pins rushed through him with each step. By the time he made it to the garage and saw his sister, most of the feeling was back now and the blood flow going. He ran towards her collapsing in her as he hugged her tight and began to cry. "I just wanted to say that I love you and am so glad you're ok." He gave her a tight squeeze before standing up and clearing the tears. "I'm gonna go check on the food and kids."

"Deal. Master Astorio seems like the type to value blowing things up anyway, I doubt he'll ask many questions."

It took Salem a moment to process what he had heard. Did...did Max just agree with him? At most he had expected a scoff followed by some remark about how he could figure it out on his own, but never did he actually expect Max to agree to his proposal. He would've smiled if it wasn't so obvious, so he held his composure and focused on what was at hand here. The clock. Salem sat back and watched as Max worked his magic, twisting and pulling at the thing as it slowly began to fall apart into pieces. It was amazing how far Max had gone with his studies, and it made Salem want to push that much more with his own. Sadly his magic wasn't something that could be rushed. Dealing with living organisms took some extra work and care to ensure that it would work right.

The scene was broken up as Aaron walked into the room, a look of shock and void breaking through his composed facade from earlier. Salem figured he either knew something about this clock, or he assumed that in their boredom they decided to dismantle some of Varis's property. Either way it wasn't ideal. Maddie was quick to fill in the silence and explain, albeit in a much nicer manner, what it was that happened while Aaron was gone. His attention stayed on Aaron the whole time until Lilie spoke up. He didn't think it was enough to cause much alarm. But they were in Varis's domain and if any of them heard that there was a chance Varis could launch an investigation on her just for the sake of making her miserable.

His eyes gave her a look of sympathy, but they had a cautionary stare to them. "What matters is that no one was injured. If anything this investigation turned out to be fruitless." He hoped that Lilie may understand, but he doubted she would. Salem sat back in his chair, crossing one leg over the other as his hands folded in his lap and he looked on at Aaron. "Do you know why anyone would be so brass as to open up a rift into your living room and drop off a timer? Or what this could mean? Should we be expecting an attack in the coming time?" Between the dreams, Varis, and this, he began to wonder what exactly Aaron was getting himself into.

Matthew became a bit startled when a crazy old man approached him. He wasnt sure if his missing teeth and appearance were due to this world or time periods knowledge of dental health or if he was more impoverished than the others around him. Glints of jewelry flashed before him before a looming shadow cut off their dazzling glare and stopped the line of sight from Matthew to thr Jewelry. Merlin had stood in the way of the two and ushered the boys to move along, as well as the salemen. He wasn’t sure if it was just Merlins haste to save someone from his resistance or if this man was the equivalent of a scalper from his world. Matthews left hand reached out partially, not quite leaving his side yet as his fingers twitched before Carroll decided to jump off his shoulder and loop around his ankles.

The meowing grew insistent until Carroll began to follow the group and Matthew simply bowed out the old man and followed suit. They walked side by side as he kept an eye on the curious cat. Perhaps Carroll had a bad feeling against the salesman? Either way once they were far enough away they began to paw at his leg to lift him up once more. Flecking his shoulders and collar with a bit of dirt from the ground they walked on. Matthew looked towards the daughter of the would be executed and clenched his fist, just hoping that they could get there in time for her parents and her sake.

Salem wasn't sure what to expect from Max. Evocation made sense with his personality but for some reason it still caught him by surprise. He had thought Max would go a different route given his affinity, but it seemed he would take the more straight and narrow path. Salem offered him a smile and small chuckle as Max asked him to share how the Transmutation courses went. It was the closest thing to friendly he'd ever heard the man. "Will do, I'm sure Master Astorio wouldn't mind if you came over and I showed you my days lessons or shared with you my notes. But I'd love to learn a bit of your Evocation in its place. Transmutation is all well and good but in a close battle one single Evocation spell can help turn the tides and place some distance between yourself and the enemy." Salem was about to reach for a drink, his fingers twitching ever so slightly before he realised he opted out of having one. This may have been a social event but he still didn't trust another to pour his own beverage.

It almost appeared as if Lilie felt the same. Having stood up from her seat and moved towards the direction of where the kitchen would be based off the dorm plans. Ofcourse Aarons perceptive eye wouldn't allow such a thing and thus Salem relaxed back into his chair allowing those two to settle it off on their own. Sadly this also told Salem everything he needed to know, that he wouldnt be able to make himself a drink without Aaron butting in and doing it for him. So he sat back, allowing himself to thirst as the Nobles continued off in another room. His attention turned to Maddie as she began to ask a question, interrupted by the sight that was developing before them. While the others leaned back Salem leaned forward in his seat. Fingers pressed together as his arms rested over his lap and knees. He watched carefully as the orb dropped off the alarm clock in which Maddie had pointed out was a timer for ten minutes.

Salem knelt down by the clock, next to Lilie, watching as she grabbed the thing. Did that meant it wasn't an illusion? Or could illusion magic be this real? He closed his eyes and focused on a pattern he learned in class, saying the words as his eyes opened and he searched the clock for magical writings or notes. Anything that might give them further clues as to what was going on. Nothing appeared on the clock and Salem dropped the spell. "Theres no magical writing on it, and I don't think its another illusion but at this point I wouldn't put it past it if it was." Salem stood up and sat back into his chair. "Maybe Max can pull it apart and destroy it, or we can wait for Aaron to come and hopefully explain what is going on here, but I am rather tired of having my mind messed with on these grounds." It seemed that Salem couldn't go to a single party or event without some mind mage messing around with his head, making him wish he had some form of defense against this. Hopefully Aaron had some answers as to what was going on.

Echo took James's hand in his, glad that whatever dick spirit had possessed him had left. An awkward chuckle leaving him as his 'comforting' words offered the potential threat of getting more injured in this process. But Harry wasn't stupid, he knew the risks and knew that there would never be a guarantee that it would go 100% smoothly. Glimpse was his best shot with Sapphire and James at the ready. There was a bit of silence before he finally spoke up. "You know...back at Xaviers I heard tale of another mutant with duplication powers. Man cough the amount of ways this mutation can go is actually quite vast. I heard one of them could absorb his clones and cause cellular regeneration, healing himself by using the clones as patches. Who knows? Maybe I can keep these guys out long enough to learn a trick or two and slowly piece back my nervous system..." Harry let go of his hand, letting it slide off and back down to the dirt beneath him.

His clones were all nearby, close enough if needed but not crowding about. After all it didn't help anyone to have a crowd of nervous Nancy's hovering over them. None had dared to go back, be absorbed, for fear that it could only make things worse. So they waited, and were all silently waiting to help a paralyzed Harry back down if they needed. Harry took a deep breath, exhaling before clapping his hands together and rubbing them. "Alright enough moping about, I won't have any tears shed today. Luna, I have the upmost faith in you that you can do this, James you have an incredible talent and I know you'll do what you can to heal me up, and Sapphire...well you're one of the brightest minds I've had the pleasure of knowing, and I'm sure you'll only grow brighter. I'm in very capable hands here. So Luna, if you would be so kind as to phase out this metal we could all go back to a lovely breakfast I made."

Demetri wasn't exactly sure what he had expected. What ever it was it wasn't this. Arthur had spoken up about how he wouldn't allow others to make fun of him and his lack of knowledge about their situation. This simple act seemed to cascade into everyone offering some form of support towards him, something he wasn't exactly used to. He gave Arthur a nuggie, having ruffled his hand before pulling both him and Andy close into an embrace. "Oh you two are the best, honestly." He let go of the pair, grabbing his fork as he began fiddling with his food again. "Its alright though Andy. If anything I'll have to have a little chin wag with her and apologize for my earlier outburst." Demetri took a bite of his food, savoring the meal as he thought about his dream some more.

He listened to Leda's explanation of dreams, how they were conduits for messages about current events or potential clues for what's to come. It was more omniscient than precognition which was not at all what he expected. If that was true then a horde was already working their way up towards the surface. "Who gives us these dreams? Does each of our parents present us with them or just a singular god? And...what do you know about a shrine of Apollo in Tarturus?...priestess Leda." He gave her a cheeky wink before taking another bite of his food, listening to wht anyone might have to say on the matter.

Kwassi Asokho

Kwassi gritted his teeth as the cold metallic arm clamped around his wrist, twisting it in an uncomfortable manner. He spoke through his clenched mouth at Bucky simply saying "I didn't start the fight either I thought the plan was to talk" Soon after all hell began to break loose. He couldn't quite see what was going on indoors, only hearing the sound of Caps sheild bashing into someone and then suddenly watching as an arrow flew past him and Bucky towards another building. Hawkeye and Cap had escaped to another roof and his fight was ended with the help of Falcon. Earlier it seemed as if they had the upper hand but in one fell swoop the avengers turned the tide and had fallen back. He blinked in disbelief and admiration as he watched what he could've been escape into the distance.

Agent Reed was quick to act, taking the only line over towards the building and shooting down Hawkeye. Moss had tried to slow down Falcon but his shots seemed to just roll off of him. Kwassi didn't know what to do and then suddenly remembered he brought one of the sci-techs uktra bright flash bombs. Figuring that might be disorienting enough he pulled it out and was about to throw it when a quinjet lowered itself and began peppering them with suppressing fire. Kwassi held the grenade back and tried not to get hit, watching as the team got away. This mission was a failure and they were unequipped for what needed to be done. Agreeing with what Agent Moss had said, Kwassi entered the window and began looking around for the dart that made its way into Captain America.

The search was quick as they were looking to leave before authorities arrived, leaving Kwassi unable to find his target and feeling the failures of the mission weighing heavier than before. He made his way down the fire escape, meeting up with Agent Moss and the others. " I had hoped to find the dart that hit Rogers so that I may analyze his blood and work on a stronger toxin. Its hard to develop a drug against an unknown source. Aside from that I'll see if I am able to get some tracer shots so that if this ever happens again, we can atleast track them for a short while." His hand was clenched in frustration as they awaited Hills orders.

Leave it to Sunshine to take an olive branch and light it ablaze. She never cared to see anyones point of view. Staying blissfully ignorant in her own world that she created of black and white where the shade of gray could never exist. Jack was good and could never do wrong, Max was evil and the worlds problems were his fault. It was tiring, even more so when coupled with M-pox. Every time she opened her mouth he strayed further and further away from wanting to try and bargain with the creature that took Illyanas soul. There was however a glimmer of truth to what she said. If the Mutant Underground truly wouldn't help fight for the mutsnt cause then perhaps one day he would try and seek out the X-men. Try and join their ranks, learn how to control his powers better, and help all of mutant kind, regardless of what the Hellfire Club said.

As Max watched Sunshines tantrum grow, he hardly had time to protest as she threw a baseball bat square in his no no square causing him to lurch forward and wince in pain. His knees bent slightly as he looked up and watched karma instantly take over. Sunshine had fallen prey to a trap set either by Pietro or his father in the event of intruders, but ofcourse the walking plague blamed him. "This is your own fault and quite honestly i don't even know if i should help you, or even why. All you do is bitch, and berate at me about how I'm the source of all your problems when you are the one that ended up having me chased by cops! I was fine before you came into my life and if it wasn't for me you'd probably be dead if Jack had anything to say about it! But nooooo you just want to throw all your problems at me and I'm sick of it. So until you can admit you did this to yourself and fell for a lame trap I'm not letting you down! Oh and good luck if you try to kill me because then you'll just die of starvation up in those wires."

Matthew's heart began to rush as his cheeks started to flush. He felt Colbys hand touch his once more and it sent him soaring. All the negative emotions that had piled up within him simply melted away to reveal a swarm of butterflies fluttering about his stomach. He knew now that Colby was truly alright, but was even more glad to have this small gift. When his hand left his Matthew found himself curling his fingers ever so gently, as if replying a scene from pride and prejudice in which he was Mr. Darcy and Colby Elizabeth. The moment lasted for a while, him nodding in affirmation to what ever it was that Sierra had said, and only leaving him when they stumbled upon the cities guards. His attention pulled back, and he recalled why it is they were there.

The wait was tense, it reminded him of the pause parents took when looking at him, deciding if he was the right fit for their missing part. In this instance he hoped that the answer was yes, unlike every moment before. It wasn't until they were all waved through that Matthew was able to relax. His eyes going wide at the sight of Camelot, loving thr sensation of being in the Camelot. Though he was certain if he ever spoke of this in Kansas that he would be seen as if he was Mad as a Hatter. His attention was pulled in various ways, from the billowing smoke of a blacksmiths hearth, to the woven goods and clothing out on display, and the bustle of the people within the walls. Everything was remarkable and he wished he could spend more time within these walls instead of being rushed by a wizard. Matthew had thought on stealing some clothes for Colby, something dry for him, but he didn't want to ruin the chance to save people if he was caught. So he followed behind, quiet but watching.

Echo laid there helplessly, staring far off into the distance until the whole world began to blur and bend together. There were whispers above him. Some semblance of secrecy happening right around him but for once he didn't care. He didn't care to listen to the idle gossip, even if it was about him and his condition. He wanted to remain in the idle bliss of ignorance. Wanted to believe he could be fixed and on his blades again. Sapphire reiterated what she had said before. Telling him to lay still on the ground as they worked on removing the shard and fixing his back. They would do everything they can she said, a solemn comfort that he clung onto. His finger twitched as some of the adrenaline from before threatened to escape, searching for a way out. Echo felt the pool.of blood building on his lower back, the thick warm liquid tickling his skin as it moved down the dimple in his back but could only be felt in some spots.

Echo tried to focus on that feeling. The feeling of being able to feel something, anything. His legs were there but they weren't. As if some spectral half of him now existed. He thought about that for a moment, a slight chuckle of madness releasing as he picture his ghostly legs dancing about Ben and skating figures around him. He pushed the thought away, trying to focus on the idea that he wouldnt be another Xavier. Another reminder of what Magneto could take away. He needed hope, and as soon as Sapphire began to speak again he found it. Hope that there was a way, hope that there was a chance, that is until he heard her plan. Glimpse had been bedridden for a number of days and was there maybe a third of the time. That his future laid in her hands sprung some tears in his eyes that slowly rolled down his cheeks and onto the straps of his apron. His eyes had closed and he had just awaited darkness.
