Max could feel himself slowly being lost amongst the others in the spell. Resisting with what he had left, even though he felt no malice from the coven. He could feel Pixies desire to be a hero, but what kind of Hero was willing to kill their enemies? The world wasn't as black and white as some people would say. Morality was grey, and even the strongest among us (like Wanda Maximoff) could fall prey to darkness only to be reasoned out of it. Max didn't know who these assailants were, but he didn't believe they deserved death. The voices of the coven spoke out, urging him not to be afraid. But his only fear was that he would make the wrong choice. His indecision led to a backfire, causing everyone to return to who they were as a cloaked figure made their way into Selene's sanctum.

Max's eyes darted back and forth between Selene and Cripta. Trying to gauge which of the two truly meant their words. But something Cripta said struck a chord with Max. The rightful Sorcerer Supreme of this realm. Before Max could say anything in protest, Cripta chose to show a measure of their strength by turning some of the coven inside out. Max's eyes went wide in horror as he choked back bile. He placed one hand behind his back, the other arm stretched forward, palm to the side in a readied stance for both martial and mystic arts. The hand behind his back tried to Conjure a small portal. Just big enough to reach into his room. But the spell failed. He concentrated, letting the moon's rays touch him as he took slow and deep breaths and tried once more, feeling something working against him actively, and growing frustration inside of him.

He was supposed to be some hero. Something this island could look up to. A savior of mutantkind or something like that. Yet here he was unable to do the most simple of tasks. Max centered himself once more, choosing to ask for aid from a master who had told him before he needed to work things out on his own. "What do you know about a creature named Cripta, claiming to be the truthful sorcerer Supreme? How can I stop them? What should I do?"

“… I’ve never heard of such a thing. Normally I would urge you to remember your basics and compose yourself, but if the situation is dire… I would advise you let loose.”

Strange's reply was a welcome change. Not because of the advice given, but the familiarity of hearing him again and having a voice that wasn't Selene's in his head. Let loose. Ok Max let out a slow exhale. His body now wreathed in cosmic energy as his magic spiraled out of control. His eyes appeared to be a void as he stared down at Cripta. Magic burst forth from him and large flames began to coalesce and become a massive hydra. It began to lash out towards Cripta, watching as the supposed 'Supreme being' managed to erect a shield just in time to defend himself.

Harry sat there kneeling on the deck of the Marauder as he felt the ship sink much to his dismay. The icy water began to climb up his legs, quickly hitting his upper thigh before reaching his midsection. But Harry was still out of it. Staring off and collecting himself from the massive strain he had pulled off. There was no sound, and in an eerie way, it fit the scene perfectly. Harry was rapidly brought back into the fray as he felt white hot heat pressed against his chest, burning a hole in his shirt and barely missing the three tattoos that circled the area on his chest. His body was flung backwards, plunging him into the frigid waters and sending shock through his body as the heat immediately dissipated and was replaced with a biting cold.

Harry gripped his chest, lunging forward out of the water and gasping for air. He moved his hand carefully, cautiously, as if afraid to witness what would lay beneath it. There was no red, no stains of blood. And his sharp gasps slowed slightly as he tried to regain focus. It was moments like these he was glad that the sound was still put out. Knowing full well the ringing he would be experiencing had he heard the blast. Harry's eyes began to focus around him, noting Marrow was bleeding out profusely, and having no way of knowing if he should cauterize the wound.

He went to go stand, when suddenly the world began to shake and shift. Harry thought it was an after effect of the explosion, before noticing the ship was lifting into the air as Waverly began controlling it in some way. If she could get the ship towards the medical center, her and Marrow could get looked at by James. Harry tried to establish a connection to Waverly, but he couldn't navigate the sounds. It was a wonder how Waverly did it so effortlessly, seemingly picking up each radio wave as if it was like picking an apple from a tree. While Harry stood here lost in a maze of radios not knowing which way to send it.

Frustrated, Harry decided that he would just have to trust her to do what was needed while he, Callie, and Sunshine took care of the clones. He'd thought about saying a witty one liner. Something inspiring to help pick up morale after such a defeat. But he figured there was no point as it would fall on dead ears. So he decided to do what he did best, perform. Harry used every sound he could feel vibrating in the air. The water sloshing off the ship as it rose into the air, the grinding and creaking of the metal, the sounds of pain from his friends, and the footsteps of his enemies.

Everything was now a weapon for him to use. And he used all of it. With a simple snap of his finger, dozens of lights began to shimmer and shine into existence. Ranges of colors from reds to blues, all the way to violet. Beams danced across the ship, cutting down the clones and reducing their numbers by half. He needed to stay focused. There were still 25 to their 4 and Harry needed to try and even the odds. But the blast still left him weak, and duplicating just wasn't in the cards yet.

Demetri watched as Zeke went to place his guitar down. Confused for a moment until the words finally rang in his head. Zeke had agreed to go off and talk. Suddenly Demi's stomach was riddled with knots as nerves twisted inside him begging him to run. But he couldn't bring himself to do it. He had to see at least this much through. Demi stood up, leading Zeke a bit away, just enough to where the campers became shadows in the light of the fire, making it that much harder for any prying eyes to observe their conversation. He was quiet during the walk, taping his finger against the wooden box now sideways and held before him as he walked.

When he finally felt they had moved far enough away, Demetri spoke. "I know you're not happy with what I've just done. It's too public and I want to apologize first and foremost." His cheeks were stained pink with embarrassment, hardly keeping eye contact. "I didn't really need help with the eye, it was just an excuse to pull you away. Something campers wouldn't question. I…" Demetri’s voice was caught in his throat for a moment. Finally looking up to meet Zeke's eyes. "I realized that I've known you for over a year now. We've been friends for at least half of one or so...and yet. I don't even know your birthday and I've missed Christmas with you and…"

Demetri’s voice trembled for a moment. Realizing he was stumbling his words, nothing was coming out how he wanted it. He took a deep breath, letting out a shaky but steady breath. "Anyways, I worked at the forge to make you a birthday present, and I have a late Christmas gift here for you too." Demetri pulled out the eye from the wooden box. Leaving the antiquated copy of the Iliad and the collapsible watch guitar inside. He held the box out towards Zeke for him to take. "Pull the dial on the wristwatch. Oh and uh, happy belated birthday and Christmasyou jerk."

Cassian noticed Anabelle's careful inspection of him and his words as the voice spoke up again, causing him to turn and face where the noise had come from. He began to study her himself to see what her final verdict was. His expression softened as he noticed she didn't think he was crazy, shoulders slumped and he nodded towards her. He could tell she knew something was off, and perhaps the Hecate cabin was exactly where he needed to be. "Yeah...A cup of tea sounds really nice right about now."

Cassian allowed her to lead the way towards the Hecate Cabin. Keeping an eye out for his unwanted specter. "Do we have a lot of ghosts wandering the campgrounds? Are they usually...Malicious?" He let his question cling to the air for a moment before he continued forward, figuring he should mask the questions with something less ominous that made him appear less concerned and more intrigued . "Oh, and what kinds of tea do you all carry? Is it a loose leaf? Sachet? Or do you make special brews to open third eyes?"

Matthew began to climb out of the wagon once the old man had cleared them to go. Placing one hand behind his back and reaching over the side with the other, stretching his sides from left to right before bending his back a bit and cracking it. Wagons were certainly not as comfortable as the cushioning of a car. He allowed his eyes to wander the markets, watching as citizens went about their days, purchasing foods, items, and other small things. There was a clear line of poverty within this area, causing Maddie to fight himself from allowing a frown from curling onto his face.

Maddie turned to say something towards Colby, noting that he was no longer by his side. He watched as he moved closer towards a purple cat, his movements slow and calculated in an attempt to gain the strange cat's favour. "Do we just plan to continuously collect cats on our travels? Cuz if so I think we'll need a lot more food and space." Maddie said jokingly towards him as he kept watch, checking the animal's body language to ensure it wouldn't lash out. But as he stared at the cat for longer, he began to gain the sense that it was Colby's father. "Uh...Colbs…"

Max stood with halted breath as he muddled over Selene's words. In his shock from what he had seen, he didn't get his words out, making it appear that he believed the assailants to be human. He held hands with everyone once more as Selene seemed to regain her process and began to encant. Max listened as she spoke, a knot forming in his stomach from her words. He wasn't one to kill, Waverly's mother being an unfortunate exception. With Casper around… Max didn't need anymore ghosts following him around.

Max's went to channel his magic into Pixie, attempting to allow her to understand the words being spoken, but the strain from Selene's siphon was too much and his spell didn't find any purchase. Max grit his teeth as he tried to think of what to do next. How would she react if he simply said no? If he left her stronghold and went to help on a different front? Max wasn't sure how well that would play out, but he did know one thing, breaking away from this bind would be a herculean task. The dark magic encircled him now, making hard for him to escape. How well would stealing the spell work? How would it play out? Were these invaders truly so dangerous that they needed to he killed?

Harry wasn't exactly sure where to begin with Sunshine. How would you catch being sad? as if Depression was just something that you were born with and not something one could go through after a traumatic event. He didn't have the time to explain to her about mental illness as suddenly the sound of a bomb went off and then pure silence. He was sure he wasn't close enough to the explosion to have caused hearing loss, but yet there were no audible sounds anywhere. Harry closed his eyes and tried to feel the vibrations around them, noting the distortion but feeling their presence still. Whatever happened up there with Waves may have caused the sudden rupture in sound.

Harry bit his lower lip, unsure of what to do next as he watched Callie take down the hammer wielding intruder who had just punched a large enough hole to cause it to sink. Instinctively he closed his eyes again, trying to find the vibrations of the water and match pitch with them in an attempt to freeze it. If he could make a large enough sheet of ice, hopefully he could keep the Marauder at float and repairs could go underway without needing to fish it out of the ocean. Sheets of ice were beginning to form as Harry moved from section to section. But the longer he strained the more he could feel the veins in his head beginning to bulge. He opened his eyes and saw his arms, the veins showing signs of stress as he struggled to take on more than he could do alone. With a final breath, he exhaled and fell back flat on his ass. Taking in sharp deep breaths as he stared helplessly for a moment, releasing his power before it took too much of a toll.

Demetri was no detective, but it didn't take much to see the look on Zeke's face followed by the desperate sigh after seeing Janelle and her brother. Demi placed the small wooden box he had been holding onto onto his lap, cracking it open and slipping the Celestial bronze eye inside of it before closing the lid once again. He rolled his eyes at Zeke and blew a small raspberry in annoyance. Of Course he was still focused on her. "Right. The Prophecies…" He said, a mixture of annoyance and concern within his voice. It was those same three prophecies that were allowing him to be a bit more courageous; after all no one knew what was in them or who would go. And Demi didn't want to risk this being his last chance to talk to Zeke and gift him something before he goes off on another quest.

His attention turned towards the campfire for a moment. Sitting there silently, arms crossed over the wooden box that he now leaned over, staring at the flames before finally sucking some air between his teeth and looking towards the son of Apollo. "They're part of why I want to pull you away. After all, you've got to let some of the other Apollo kids have a crack at quests right?" There was an uncomfortable silence at the end of his sentence, as if there was more he wished to say. "Besides, I. I needed to talk to you." Demi finally said in hushed tones so only Zeke could hear.

Cassian turned to look and see where the voices were coming from. Following the sound as each new one arose, finding no one around save for himself. He wanted to put his hands up towards his ears, block out all the sound and ignore the voices speaking to him. But he chose to stay composed, walking forward and pretending as if they had no sway over him. As they grew louder and louder, Cassian finally saw something. A wisp, or smoke, some spectral body that appeared just in the corner of his eye. He whipped his head in its direction, seeing nothing as an eerie quiet surrounded him.

He stood there, staring into the blank space, waiting for something to happen, until Anabelle spoke up and startled him. Cassian jumped in place, turning to look at her as he grasped his chest and exhaled. "Oh. It's only you. I just saw the strangest thing before you arrived. Some smoke like creature flying around and now...nothing." He wasn't about to tell her about the voices that accompanied it, or what they were saying. Enough campers already feared him, he didn't need to give them more reason why.

Maddie nodded at the family as they warned them against the use of magic. He knew that what Colby had done was quite the sort of magic this world had, but still he offered him a pointed look as he picked up a few of the cards to hand back to him. "You should hold on to these a bit more carefully" He said jokingly. "But maybe try not to display any of this when we enter. Just to be safe." After all, witches were burned for less back in their world.

Maddie listened intently as they explained the workings of the city. Wrinkling his nose in disgust as he heard about its classist system. It was as if they viewed the poor as a plague, something that could be caught and should be warded away. It wasn't right. He was about to say something when a guard poked his head into the Caravan, forcing him to bite his tongue and hold his breath; only letting it go once the guard had left and given them the all clear. Whatever thought had been in his mind was long gone now. And his stomach began to tighten as it dawned on him that they were about to reach the inside and find their family.

Demetri stood by, leaning against a nearby tree as he watched everyone singing along and playing. Usually he would've joined in, but tonight he only cared about one thing, and he was sitting there with a guitar and an expressionless look on his face. Zeke wasn't one for playing at the campfires, but tonight seemed different and Demi could quite tell why. After he'd gotten the two items back from Annabelle and Lauryn, he began to try and work up the courage to be a bit more public than what he'd usually been. Sure it'd still be under a guise but, even that could be dangerous. After some time Demi finally propped himself off of the tree and began to make his way towards Zeke.

He used the wild flames that had seemingly come out of nowhere to hide his presence while the others were distracted by them. Slinking over next to Zeke and pulling out the Celestial bronze eye. "Hey, mind if we talk? It'll get you away from guitar duty but you'll end up in the infirmary instead if you say yes. Soooo." Demi rolled the enchant orb between his fingers, almost as if to tempt Zeke to say yes. He worried that he would say no, wishing to spend more time with Janelle, but she had her turn today and now they sat apart from each other. Besides, Demi had questions he was hoping to get answers to.

Cassian Rudenko

Skills: Panflute Playing

Cassian sat across from Zeke and Janelle, essentially forming a triangle as looked towards one of the few campers that actually treated him as if he was normal, and Zeke whom Cass hadn't quite put his finger on yet. Rumors had it he was an ass, and he had already had his fair share of those in camp. But he could see some sort of conflict inside of Zeke. His glance turned to look towards Janelles' direction then back. What could he have spoken to her about? Did they have a fight? Or was it a bad prank done to her? No, whatever he did, he already seemed to be paying for it.

So Cassian paid it no mind. Instead deciding to join in the fun and pull out his panflute, pressing the cold metal against his lips and closing his eyes as he heard the campers sing and the Apollo kids play their guitars. He found the beat to pick up on and began to add in. Cass could feel the heat of the flames flicker and dance in front of him. Opening his eyes in hopes of seeing a large colorful flame with the joy of the camp, but instead he saw wild flames that threatened those around. His eyes shot wide in disbelief before finally changing his tune in an attempt to calm the flames. He watched as the started to die down, returning to their usual flare before Cassian put his panflute to his hip and stood up. How could he ever think a child of chaos and madness would be able to fit in with the others? Of course the fire would react that way. His lower lip quivered before he headed off towards his cabin, away from the others.

Matthew waited with baited breath to see how his words would be received. Willow seemed to agree with his statements, or at the very least wasn't verbally chastising him in front of the others if she disagreed. Something he had, unfortunately, gotten used to both by his years in the orphanage, and the way Rosalia and others treated him and Colby. They weren't ones to mince words or speak their mind, but they also didn't seem to care who was around to hear it, having no sense for privacy in that regard. At this point Maddie wasn't sure which was worse? The possibility of someone being upset with him and keeping it to themselves for later, or someone being upset and pouring it out for others to hear and see.

Regardless of the answer to that question, he was needing to focus on the here and now. Maddie watched as Colby entertained the child with some magic tricks. Bringing a small smile to his face before turning back to look at the elders in the room. I'm sorry to ask you this but, I haven't traveled this far before and was wondering what you could tell me about the city? Any information would be helpful really." If there was anything they needed to know, they had to find out before entering Agrabah. One wrong step could have Maleficent's men storming the place, or even Jafars.

At Selene's first words spoken aside from the spell, Max couldn't help but instinctively flinch back as if it was all his fault. He was used to being blamed for the failures of magic, so why wouldn't he be this time? His gaze was averted from her as he thought about the potential of why it was failing. Was it his anxiety that was messing with the spell's design? Was the wording too specific? Did they even know that humans were the ones attacking them? Mutants had fought each other before, there were attacks by aliens from space, and a new breed of superbeings called inhumans had been born after the terrigen gas. Perhaps their bias was clouding their minds and that's what was happening.

His eyes snapped back to attention when Selene called his name. Worry filling him for a second as the pause seemed to stretch for eons to him. But finally the words followed and he realized she wasn't upset with him, rather seeking his advice. His eyes went wide with shock as he tried to think of other reasons as to why the spell could've failed. Something more mystical than generic bias and wording but nothing came to mind. "My only thought is the wording. We live in a world full of Inhumans, mutants, mutates, aliens, any one of them could be attacking us right now. It's not necessarily humans." Max put a thoughtful finger towards his chin before wavingnhis hand across the air. "Show me our assailants." There was a brief image, a man made of water, one of Rock, another teleporting around. There was a massive person, a tic-tac, someone made of fire, the list went on. But most importantly…"They are human "

Harry wasn't certain as to how well he could maintain his concentration on Sangre's manipulation while simultaneously creating clones of himself to deal with Horador. Watching as Sangre was now attempting to create more bubbles in some odd effort to combat them. What they were meant to do he wasn't sure, but he knew that it couldn't be good. So he focused his power on him more, dropping it down just enough to finally freeze him solid. Harry had a bead of sweat roll down his forehead, creating two clones to help deal with the bombing imp.

Before he was able to get out any commands, Sunshine flung a well placed disease at him and knocked him out, leaving the clones with nothing to do. "Ok, new plan. You two go towards the Maurauder, use your powers to help freeze the water and patch up the holes that were caused by the bomb." Harry turned to look at Sunshine with a smile. "Nice shot. Also, don't mention it kid. Think your powers can create non-organic diseases? Say...giving the big ol rock man PTSD or some mental disease to occupy them for a moment?"

Demetri could practically feel the stare that was about to come to him from Zeke. It wasn't as if he was intentionally trying to get him away from Janelle, it was simply an added bonus to what he had wanted to do. His eye looked towards Zeke, then back at Janelle, then back towards Zeke. Giving a defeated and awkward smile that luckily Janelle wouldn't be able to see. Holding his hands up, he backed away slowly one step before speaking. "My bad mate. Didn't mean to interrupt, I can just see you later after dinner or something. It's no rush really."

Demi tucked the box holding both the eye and book behind his back before looking at everybody present. "I actually need to find Madalyne anyways. Got a message for her. So if any of you have seen her or heard of where she might be? That'd save me time from running about Camp all day." Demetri said in an attempt to make sure Janelle or anyone didn't bother trying to tell Zeke to help him right away, even if his heart was a little broken over this.

Cassian had to fight a grin that was threatening to cross his lips. He didn't like to hear that other campers were injured, but he did like to hear that he was right. Having guessed the dislocated shoulder even without properly examining the injury, though he supposed it was a simple enough stab that anyone could've done it. He noticed Bryan rolling his eyes at him, making him wonder if he should say anything about it. Cassian opted against it, decidedly believing that the only thing he could think to say to him wouldn't look good at the moment.

He lifted his hand, waving his fingers at Bryan in a sort of 'ta-ta' motion as he bid him goodbye. Cass's weight shifted onto his hip as he turned his attention towards Zeke, looking to see what he would say in both regards to himself and the little son of Zeus that had popped up from nowhere. He put on his most impish smile as he addressed him. "And where is my hello? He said with a feigned hurt in his voice. "Oh sod off. I didn't forget I chose not to say."
