Demi forced a smile for a moment as Madi mentioned her curse. Pain stinging behind the dimpled charade as he thought about how his godly father screwed over yet another person with no repercussions. It was no wonder Zeke didn't like him at first if he thought he was anything like him. He looked around, saw the blood stained flowers and grass beneath him, Niah's smile though he wasn't sure what she was smiling for, and Mad's hand outstretched towards him. He thought back towards Nancy's reaction to him being at the beach and a thought crept back into his mind. Maybe he wasn't any better than his father? All around him were people suffering because of him existing and all he had was a single gash that had now closed and a pain that had mostly subsided.

There was a hollowness inside of him now, an empty feeling he'd felt a few times in the past. "Gotta love silver linings." he said flatly. Demetri took Mads hand, helping himself up as he used his bloodied hand to press against the tree and support himself. "At least it's death warmed over. Hate to be two day old cold leftover death. Now then you should worry." He took one step forward as he listened to what Niah had to say, pausing as he felt and odd rush through him. Why would anyone vote for him? Clearly it must've been some practical joke…but then again Arthur was great with words. He decided not to dwell on it for too long as he continued forward through the bushes to break out into the forested grounds most new.

Demi felt more like he was being babysat as he walked alongside Mads and Niah. He realized the path they were taking would avoid the beaches, making him glance off towards that direction. His pace slowed slightly as he mulled words over in his mind. "You two know Zeke's sister pretty well right? Does she…Well…I mean to say. Why does she hate me?" His smile had faded, grown weaker as he spoke. Though if anyone had to ask he'd just blame it on residual pain. But a part of Demi wondered if Zeke could date him and keep a healthy relationship with his sister if she hated him. Especially enough to simply kick him away for being.

Cassian watched as Dean left the room, sticking his tongue out at him before returning to the snacks that were there before them. "Good luck? What does that even mean? Wait, are we in trouble? Cuz I haven't done anything I swear. If anything it was probably Demetri or Zeke. I feel like those two are always going at it with each other." He grabbed a handful and began to eat them meticulously, trying not to get any on his clothing or to drop any. He swiveled towards Janelle as she spoke, seeing she was just as much in the dark as he was, no joke intended.

"Oh great so they're all being cryptically vague. That's nice. I'm actually on board with Janelle here. Wouldn't it be easier to just tell us what's going on and then have the others get caught up? Or is this one of those one time deals where once it's said or shown it vanishes kinda thing? In which case…we still don't really need them. We have at least three campers here. That's the golden number for quests, if this is one, so why wait?" Something about the others in the room felt off. Rosie, a Roman, they were waiting on two others and a Roman prophet? It felt as if time was dragging by, telling him something big was about to happen. But the quests had already been given, three groups one for each of the Big Three. What more was there?

Matthew listened as his father went over the plan once more. Positions were vague and exactly what they were doing was vaguer. But they needed several teams, and luckily for them they had quite a bit of people. "I'll head for the Vault as well. I have the concealment spell memorized, so even if the guards are somehow tipped off about the heist they hopefully won't be able to make out our faces. Colbs here helps us escape, and no ones the wiser on who it was that attempted to barge into the illustrious Vault of Janear." Willow had volunteered to go for the main floor, which helped to have her as a look out. Tinker Bell was coming along as well though where she was going was in the air.

Maddie thought for a moment, before decidedly looking at their Pixie friend. "Think you could stay on lookout with them? That way if anything goes sideways you can portal them out…hopefully." The last time they'd opened a portal it took them a ways off from the city entirely. Maddie hoped she could handle a closer local, but where was the question. "I don't know this place, so where would be a good rendezvous point for if things go bad? Is there a good hideout away from here we could hit?"

Max smiled as he watched her light up from the simple gesture. Watching as she took a sip before continuing on. There was a certain air of reminiscence as she indulged herself in her favorite drink, giving him the perfect place for them to speak in private. After all, two magically inclined mutants could surely find their way back home should something go astray. "Been a while since I've made food. Actually, save for what we had to go through thanks to those Vault kids…it'd been a while since I used my magic in general." His powers tended to be chaotic, unrefined, and usually did more harm than good. For a while he had been afraid to even use them, blaming himself for a lot of the undergrounds misfortunes. But now it felt more natural to him, as if he was working with it instead of trying to force it.

"C'mon. Let's find someplace a bit more private to talk. I think I have just the place in mind." Max held his hand out, attempting to open up a portal to a lush green landscape of Wales. He'd never been there himself, but he'd seen photographs, and of course one of his favorite fictional characters was Welsh. Another wizard of grand report that had a field for himself. He tried to picture the location, finally having it snap into place on his second try as he passed his hand around again for another circle. The portal opened up to reveal a beautiful countryside overlooking the ocean.
Max stepped through, looking back and waving Pixie over into the scenery as he began to Conjure a platter of sushi for them both to enjoy. He didn't know if it was the nerves, but for both tricks he'd had to try twice. "So? What do you think?"

Harry gave David a dopey smile as he reached his hands out and grabbed his. He clearly wasn't comfortable with the idea of having to enter people's minds, a clear way that David and Xavier were different, and Harry wouldn't ask him to do anything he'd felt uncomfortable with. "You don't have to go and do that. Especially if you aren't comfortable with it. Besides, I'm not sure how comfortable I'd be with the idea of having someone do that to me in her situation." He shook his head lightly, the colors in his hair seemingly hypnotic as they swayed and changed with the motion.

"No, No, I think this is one of those problems that has to be done the good old fashioned way. With grit and nerves, no powers, no mutantations, just three people talking in a room together. Then again…" Harry had a half smirked smile on his face as he gained an idea. "I could bring back an old trick, have one of the boys tell her so that I don't have to. But She'd most likely find out later and say something back at where we live. That, and well…something this important should be said by me. Just gotta…find the nerves that's all." Harry exhaled softly as he thought, wondering how Veil and Max's chat was going.

Demi could feel the strings beginning to slack. His concentration slipping away along with his vision as the shadows made their way back to where they were meant to be. He heard a voice nearby, then felt something cold press against his arm. It wasn't a totally unfamiliar feeling, though slightly unpleasant until suddenly he could feel the pain fading away. The strain leaving his body and allowing his sight to slowly fade back into view where he now saw Madalyne next to him as the Manticore ran off into the woods away from the camp. He offered her a weak chuckle as she threatened him not to run off again. "Never felt better. And I doubt I have the strength to do that trick twice right now." He shifted his weight, scooting himself up further against the tree so that he didn't look as worn out from the recent events.

Demetri wiped away the tears, making sure to avoid using the bloodied sleeve as he did so. He took in a deep breath and gave the practiced words he'd said a million times before. "I'm fine. Honestly. Manticore poison is no joke though, stings a bit more than your average wasp so I'd avoid getting hit by one." Truthfully he wasn't fine. He felt shit, and had no idea why Mads was even there, why would she care about him? It felt as if the Romans didn't do caring. Then again he was certain this was Andy's aunt, or was he confusing her with another? His head still pounded a bit from the pain as it continued to recede, making it difficult to think too much.

"How'd you find me anyways? This place is supposed to be secluded…hidden. Kinda a me place." Before Mads could even answer another Roman came traipsing into his and Zeke's place. Making him wonder if he should hang a big keep out sign by the hedge wall needed to cross into the area. "Well now its a party. You Romans must have a way with tracking I swear. Anyways, if Rosie saw the same thing then I guess I should go hear it from her. … After I get up that is."

As the pair began to walk towards the Big House, Cassian couldn't help but notice how extremely vague Dean was being. It was odd to have him be so secretive, then again Cassian had never asked about what happened in the meetings before. He gave his brother a critical glare, sizing him up at the moment as if it would somehow give him a clue about what all was going on. "Alright then, keep your secrets." he said, quoting The Lord of the Rings. He wanted to ask more questions, but figured he would only get vague answers or silence. Now he knew how Leda felt, the way she was always running around. He wished he had her speed, wanting to get there in the blink of an eye and find out what news awaited him.

When he got there he noticed a few people he had expected to see there. Quest goers gathering together and getting ready to depart after having deliberated on their previous meeting. But once he made his way past them and inside, he was greeted by an unexpected guest. He hadn't expected Janelle to be one of the others mentioned. "Hey Janelle, any idea what this is all about? Or has everyone been cryptic with you as well? Since Dean here is apparently of no help." He said teasing his brother. He made his way over and grabbed a chip, taking a calculated bite before leaning against the wall. "Let me guess. They shot down every proposal for a liason?"

Eila hadn't quite answered any of Ermes' questions. Though he couldn't all together blame her as the gargantuan went before them broke all conversation. His eyes followed hers, trying to guess at what she was doing, clearly sizing them up but in what way, he wanted to know. His pose changed, shifting his weight to his other foot once the intensity seemed to drain from the orcish woman's face. His shoulders slumped in subtle defeat as he was called little once again. Annoyance filling him ever so slightly. More so after she mistakenly believed that they were lost and searching for the town. Did he look like he couldn't handle the Bounty House?
Sizing her up he began to wonder, though he doubted that everyone there would be as enormous and strong as this woman was.

Ermes took in a breath, about to reply to the orc when another figure emerged from the treeline. They were oddly cloaked, wearing a mask and hat that covered their features on a bright morning day. Not far behind was a stocky man…boy…it was difficult to gauge his age. But he seemed rather Unassuming in comparison to his company, aside from the large sword holstered to his side. Based on his question, he too was searching for the Bounty House. Great. Ermes was quickly beginning to feel like he might have to fight for some of the better jobs, or that perhaps the others might move the better paying jobs just out of his reach on the board. This one certainly looked like he'd be the kind to do so.

The man appeared to have been looking at him, but it appeared to be nothing more than a passing glance. Ermes supposed it was better than someone getting down to eye level with him. Eila however, had seemingly decided she would be the voice of their little party. Choosing to ignore the woman and make her way towards the Bounty House. His gaze shifted from every individual in view before settling back on Eila. "You're not the least bit curious as to why she's tramping around in the bushes? Ei, I gotta say it's a bit rude." Ermes turned his attention towards the orc, having had Eila already give out his name to those present. "Sorry about her. She doesn't introduce well. Names Ermes, hope to see you around and maybe learn more about what you're doing right now…but it seems someone is eager to see The House so it's probably best I follow." Ermes looked towards the two that had emerged from the treeline, wondering if they were the glowing beings he saw back the night before. "You two coming?"

Maddie let out a soft bit of laughter as Tink asked about how the meeting went. A small smile plastered on his face as he kept his eyes on the book, trying to pick which spell would come most handy for when they inevitably fucked up. "Didn't think that after eighteen years I'd suddenly be participating in "bring your kids to work" day. But I suppose it did go well…aside from that bit of commotion out there." He said as he nodded back towards the front door, not daring to take his eyes off the book for even a second. These spells seemed a bit more complicated than the ones he'd read before. The components were simple enough, but the hand gestures and pronunciation is what bothered him.

Maddie kept mouthing the word silently to himself. Getting a feel for the way his tongue moved and what shape his mouth had to make in order to utter these arcane words penned by one of the greatest known wizards of all time. Maddie couldn't help but notice Colby off to his side, doing the same thing as they each memorized a different spell. Even if he hadn't said it himself, he was hoping Colby would take the task of the teleportations. After all his father was The Chesire cat. A being known for disappearing and reappearing as he so pleased. Hopefully that would give Colby an edge when casting the spell for them. Maddie on the other hand focused on the smoke screen spell.

If anything, it would not only provide cover, but also give the guards something to choke up on as they tried to make their escape. It felt like a two for one special. Maddie was already dressed in his attire, leaving mostly the adults having to get ready for their heist. When Maddie felt certain he had the spell down he looked over to Colby before closing the book. He leaned against the table, looking out towards the others. "We should probably go over the plan once more. Solidify what it is everyone's doing and what each of our goals are. Just to make sure we've got it all down." A lot had already happened since they arrived, and Maddie was sure a detail or two may of slipped through the cracks.
So hype! Already got an FC and idea pumping 😃

Max waved hi to Pixie as she finally saw him, nodding to her and waiting patiently as she continued her work for a moment before fluttering down towards him. It was always amazing watching others use magic. Seeing as the beams hammered themselves into place while she made her way down. When she'd finally made it to him, he gave an appreciative whistle to her before holding one hand out palm facing up while the other passed over it. His magic began to swirl into the palm of his hand as it began to take shape and turned into a glass of Penderyn Whiskey. "You have got to teach me how to do that. Thirsty?" he asked, offering the glass towards her.

Max looked up at the structure, watching all the work that was being done. "Definitely don't know the first thing about construction. But I'm sure with a bit of direction I could just…make whatevers needed." His eyes shifted from the Akademos back towards Pixie, smiling as he remembered why he was here. "Oh, right. Um I had a few questions for you by the way. Top secret, and you're the only other magical mutant I can trust with this sort of information. So…mind helping me?" Max tried to give his best smile, mixed with a pair of gleaming eyes to hopefully help to sway her into saying yes, though he didn't see a reason for her to fully refuse.

The more that David spoke, the more questions Harry had. If the others could take over for David, what did that mean for them two? Would he be able to get back from the Astral Plane without issue? Would Harry? More questions began to race throughout his mind when David pressed his nose against his and then all those thoughts and concerns melted away. It was back to just the two of them, at that moment, as Harry couldn't help but chuckle. "Is that so? And how many other souls have you seen?" he asked teasingly. He didn't dare to pull away, though David broke off first as he tilted his head in confusion.

Harry wasn't sure exactly how to answer him. Trying to find the words but seemingly unable to. "No reasons in particular. I just…I get nervous about these sorts of things." When was it a good time to mention past relationships? The Astral Plane seemed as good a place as any, but the moment certainly didn't feel right. How could he explain the hardships Veil has had to go through? Explain how she might be apprehensive or cautious about this sort of a move? Harry always wondered if the X-Gene had some bearing on the mutant's personality. Was Valery a guarded individual because her powers allowed her to be? Or was it merely due to her circumstances with the Underground? "Val means a lot to me. But she can be a bit guarded. So I wonder what she'll think."

As the manticore went to send out another spike, Demetri felt the familiar tugging once again, his hand reflexively tightening into a firm grip as all the tendrils grew taught and pulled the beast down to its knees. The damage had been done however, the manticore having gotten a spike off. Demi heard a loud thud behind him as the projectile embedded itself into a nearby tree. He took one step, having not felt the graze on his arm yet as he snapped his finger with his free hand causing his dagger to spring to life and fly into his hand. "You asked for it." he said, his voice shaky and gravely with a roil of emotions.

Demetri flung his dagger towards the manticore's tail, focusing on trying to separate it from the beast so that it couldn't attack with it anymore. His dagger flew past, grazing the creature slightly but doing no more than that. As it went past the tail the dagger curved around and flew back into Demis hand. He silently cursed to himself at his attempted and went in for another large arcing throw. This time it hit square in the center of the tail, catching it ablaze with blue flames to burn away at it. However as his arm released the dagger, Demetri felt a sharp pain in his arm. Suddenly he was aware of the blood dripping down his arm.

He took one step forward, the world suddenly pulsing. No. His vision seemed to be playing tricks on him as his eyes went in and out of focus from the immense pain now riddling his body. Demetri glanced around, seeing the tree he'd originally been by, slowly walking towards it as blood dripped down his arm and pooled at his sweater's sleeve, dagger in hand. Once he reached the trunk he pressed his back against the tree, placing it between himself and the manticore for a bit of safety hopefully. A hot tear streamed down his cheek as he whimpered to himself. "Zeke…please…help."

Cassian kicked at the ground beneath him. Trying to think of what to do next. He walked over towards one of the archery displays, lifting his retainer bow and feeling its weight. It wasn't the kind he was used to using, but he'd left his personal one back at Dionysus Cabin so it would have to do. He notched and arrow, pulling it back to his cheek as he took aim for the center of the target. Cassin took a deep breath, held it, and released it along with the arrow. The shot flew wide, hitting above the target into the hay placed behind them to catch the arrows. He sighed to himself, grabbing another arrow as he readjusted his stance. Another breath, another shot followed by a second rapid fire shot directly behind it.

Both arrows whizzed through the air, hitting the target dead center and clustering the pair. He was about to go for another shot when Dean appeared behind him. The arrow fell out of his hand as the string panged with the empty shot. "Don't you know not to sneak up on people in the range? Well, not like these arrows do any real damage anyways." Cassian slung the quiver off his back, placing it and the bow against a nearby post. He cocked an eyebrow at what Dean was saying. Chiron wanted to see him? (And others). "What's it all about? Oh, and how'd the meeting go? Pick a liason already?" Cassian asked as he began heading back towards The Big House, gesturing for Dean to walk and talk with him.

Maddie could feel the guards still tailing them. The small hairs on the back of his neck stood on edge as the guards eyes were upon their group. He'd hardly noticed the gesture Chesire made as two of the cats currently surrounding Colby had leapt off and vanished into the crowd like smoke. They were lucky to have such stealthy creatures though Maddie wasn't quite sure what all they could do against the guards. If anything it made him feel like they were more guilty in whatever it was these guards seemed to think they were doing. Maddie held onto the strap of his bag, feeling the leather squeak under his grip as he recalled the spell he'd learned for the fireball. It wasn't the best spell to use, especially given the crowd that surrounded him, but it was what immediately came to mind even as just a distraction.

Before long had passed, the two cats re-emerged from atop the roofline, slicing away at lines that held together lattice panels. There was a crash behind him, causing Maddie to flinch his shoulders slightly as he continued to move through the crowd and then finally into the store once more. "That was crazy, and sooo cool." He turned to see everyone and then realized what Colby had just insinuated. "Oh…r-right. It's fine, we just have to find more avenues for ourselves." Maddie made his way over towards a counter, clearing a small spot as he rested Merlin's spell book onto the table and opened it.

Thumbing through the pages there was a plethora of knowledge. Each new spell accented with an illuminated letter to mark the beginning of a new idea. "Ok, we have smoke screens, fog, Short bursts of Teleportation, Colby's a bit better at this magic stuff than I am but together I think we should be fine. We just have to try and learn these spells as quickly as possible." Maddie pulled one of the three satin cords of the book and placed it between two sets of pages. One for the short bursts, the other for the smoke screen. They'd have to work together if they had any chance at countering Jafars men.
