White Wolf Returns: A Homecoming for World of Darkness
For over three decades, White Wolf has stood at the bleeding edge of supernatural and horror storytelling. From Vampire: The Masquerade to Werewolf: The Apocalypse and Mage: The Ascension, our games helped shape generations of roleplayers, writers, and dreamers who sought meaning in the shadows.
Today, we are proud to announce that World of Darkness will once again be guided under the name that birthed it: White Wolf.
This isnโt just a name change. Itโs a return to our rootsโand a commitment to the future. A future where mature horror stories are told with care. Where community and collaboration are central. Where fans, creators, and licensees can find clarity, support, and inspiration under a banner they trust.
Simultaneously, we are announcing today that White Wolf will now be a publisher, as well as a licensor, of World of Darkness games. This means that we will continue to work with our network of licensing partners who bring you all the great video games, tabletop roleplaying games, card games, and more -- but we will also develop some new games internally, and publish them.
The first game that we will publish as White Wolf is Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines 2 as co-publisher with Paradox Interactive. We will announce additional games from White Wolf as the publisher later this year.
As White Wolf, we will: โข Reinforce our legacy as pioneers of narrative-driven horror and emotional roleplay across all our products. โข Provide clear leadership across all World of Darkness media and products. โข Support creators with improved tools, transparency, and canon guidance. โข Maintain rigorous standards for inclusivity, sensitivity, and collaboration in storytelling.
The night belongs to us all. Welcome home, Vamily.
No idea how I missed this int check, today I was listening to some sad-core bleak type music reading the old thread like some superfan and crept into your profile and saw Regalia and I looked like this.
Kleo sat down like the benevolent jackass she was, flying in space was totally fucked and the book was right you don't ever enter through the obvious hole - you make your fucking own. Though the team of alien jackasses would not accept the fact Kleo wanted to dive through the station like she was on a search and destroy mission she kept her yapper shut. She thumbed through the pages of her favorite survival book, never trust an alien, shoot occultic shit dead and live for liberty, freedom, and love. Kleo jammed through her reading sesh listening to some space garble slop as she mentally prepared to kick alien ass and more, maybe even the asshole worm squid dude who tried to kill her too.
When they reached the space station in question she was geared up, tekked out in the latest chique that money could buy. She had an SMG that could shred mother truckers into space heaven but she was meaning to send these dewds to space hell. "Aight.. I'm ready." Kleo said reporting that maybe they all muted her, the aliens around here carried around a veil of low-key hate to the young enslaved mercenary. She entered close to her squid-hugging pal not Kleo (Alice) as they moved like a team and were ready to die like one.
Well, Kleo didn't want to die but death comes quick in this hello space station.
Kleo stood there as the angry worm thing berated her like she was the worm out of water, she slowly took a piece of Union made gum out of the pack and pressed it into her mouth. She started to chew the piece of pink bubblegum as she listened to the anti-human, totally racist/asshole remarks made by this worm half-human creature. Kleo gingerly extended a piece of gum to one of the free worms that reared its ugly head which the worm accepted. The worm was stupid just like the book said, how would it chew a piece of Teamsters made bubble gum how would it stay wet in space?
She smiled, and a smirk grew upon her face as she palmed up her gladius ready to totally fucking murder this freak though she would refrain from doing so as senseless murder was poor form for a Human amongst alien 'peers'. "Dewd.. you and your worms don't even have spunk, you're like a walking tin can the onez I get from a vending machine. I'm a 100% pure bred, see." She held out her PDA in her other hand incase the worms tried to bite or kill her (that's what space worms tended to do.) The PDA showed a picture of Kleo with a slow flashing/glowing 100% pure human sticker beside her face and name. Huzzah for humanity.
As the evil wormling was pulled away Kleo made a face, the one that annoys all aliens. She stuck her tongue out and gave her that fuck you asshole look without having to draw her gladius or gun him down, this was a new record for the human. "Probably best you let us do our job 'n you do yours tin-can. Don't want us crossing fire, no use in us being chummy either. Hope after this we don't see you and your worms again, my team hates worms."
My team... Kleo and the Aliens were like a team now, it was confirmed.
Kleo did her best to tolerate the squidling that spoke to her even showing some kindness back in such a strange time. "Umm.. Thanks." Kleo humbly said before the creamy-skinned gun-totter made her way off to the armory without much more to say on the matter. Though the trip was uneventful it was always the destination that brought people together. When the wet raven-haired woman made her way into the armory she sighed - more aliens and creatures. She tried to silently arm herself up, donning her gear and getting her slick sub-optimal skull popper ready to go along with her new mysterious attachment - the armor-piercing smart gun fleeked up adapter. Though some jackass who pretended to be a human, or was one wouldn't shut up about her. A true Alves would never let such slander against their character slide!
"Uhm... Sup you weird looking mother fucker. Don't know what you are, but if space jesus wuz' here? He'd smite your ass, ye' it's true I dropped a lot of alien licks. Cuz' my team is cutthroat, so don't get in our way else you might be on your knees not in the cool way dig? Like - in the you get fucked up if you fuck with us typa-way. Comp-ra-hendey there fishbowl 'n maybe translate to orc fo' your pals?"
It wasn't long ago that Kleo Alves was put in a headlock by some kind of orc who was ready to crush her like she crushed energy drinks or bullets down range. Humans had the best memory patterns and retention compared to their 'alien' peers, she didn't recall the situation going down the way it did because she was a loud-mouthed, cavalier, prudent but always vigilant human-loving bitch? She had done everyone a favor by dropping that dead weight, those aliens were as stupid as they looked - but to see the head ghost walker chime in about it was something alright - everyone was a critic, a judge and an alien!
Tarrhaidim - Precision Shots to Ensure Death - Dr. Hunter Powell
Kleo was open on the chapter to kill these fungoids, how they live, and operate, and the best way to strike them down. Kleo endured the browbeat because that's what humbled, hot-headed idiots did when faced by angry, or compassionate aliens. She turned the book around showing Sal the diagram she was reading out. "Killed some robots and scumbags who would do the same to us, fungal-bugs lost their shit and wanted to kill me on the spot. Could of chopped 'em up good, Gladius cuts thru-fungal shit like that. I could of kneecapped and de-limbed that walking tree with a flick of a wrist, cuttin' through butter." Kleo said closing the book in his face.
"Can't be faulted for killing off enemies of my enemies, dewd. Simple as, simple shit - should of 'spanked' me back then if you had a prob' can't help I'm a prisoner to this robot thing 'n fighting on planets I dun' wanna fight on. Not gonna lament on this shit, let me pull triggers and pop heads. Any ally puts a hand on me, I draw and chop - can't have my armor 'n tekk trashed out cuz' they thought it was wrong. We're bad people, full stop dewd. Matter of fact you peeps need me, I walk a path of humanity - you guys don't. I slay occult ' cultists with true faith.. "
"Be a good leader, back your squad - don't treat me like a kid, not the type to be made someone's bitch. Need examples, ask that alien officer with a hole in his head." Kleo spits off to the left on the ghostly grave of the empire and alien species that raised arms against her people. She hiked up her pants a little higher, her suspenders straining - oh, and nothing she said was at a whisper, a true human never returns common courtesy to an alien!
