Alright nice! I'll probably have to double check just how dark that is; but if we're not exceeding canon in terms of darkness then that'll probably be fine for my tastes. You can count me in, excited to see how this goes!
@Uiop No worries.

General plot and guild. Fenix Tear is our guild, it's an independent guild that balances the light/dark aspect, imagine a less brooding Crime Sorciere but Fairy Tail coded.

By definition of general plot, I always make it interconnected within Quests for people to go back reading and ponder. I love my hints and foreshadowing.

General plot is balancing scale, because of our independent nature, we often would serve questionable clients based on the contract we got.

Sounds quite fun and absolutely up my alley. Looking forwards to it!

That's all I can reveal for now, and you're right as likewise, we do capture the lighthearted FT canon first and foremost before going darker tones but make no mistake that I keep those dark undertones in plain sight lingering.

Gotta feel the light first before descent ya, as a sign of maturity.

I am gonna ask roughly how dark are you thinking of (eventually) going? While I do like doing some dark plots; I know there's a certain point at which it's too much for my personal tastes. Figured I should probably check in on that beforehand.
I'm interested in this; though I will say it's been years since I've seen the show or read the manga so it may take me a bit to get back into the swing of it.

I'm also wondering what's the general idea for the plot of the RP? Would the characters be members of a particular guild or was there something else you had in mind? Also, am I right in guessing the aim is for a mostly-canon-typical tone?

But yeah, sounds fun, I'd be up for this!
I somehow missed your IC post until now. It looks great! I should be able to throw in a reply to that on Monday. (Edit: Or Tuesday)

I'd also offer to grab a kiosk; but given that I'm currently a tad busy it may be a while until I get the opportunity to write out two messages; so I'll just grab whatever's still going when I can.
Apologies if my means of replying causes a multi-ping.

If you're going for a more free-form game without anyone in particular being the GM, you could just agree to play your own villains or ne'er-do-wells, and use the "I write what I want my character to try and do" mechanics whenever you interact with someone else's villains or scumbags. That way, you can all be equally in charge of handling fights or situations.

That's one of the ways I was thinking we could do it GM-Less. Though I'm also thinking that for certain villains (not all of them) we could share em and/or pass em around for ease of RPing?

My immediate plans for after you guys got signed up at the kiosks and joined your Hero Org was just somehting along the lines of:

1. Let everyone go outside into Atlas Park.
2. Set up several small-time events with low-level threats/crimes, like a purse-snatcher, a cat stuck in a tree, some punk kids spray painting in an alley and things of that nature.
3. Let the heroes choose one of the above situations and have them team up or go solo in handliong them.
4. After finishing 3 of these "tiny" quests, they'd get their first "level up".

Not sure I would want to make us all do really trivial heroics. If it's cool with you all I'd like to send us all on a mission, maybe one that sends us in a few groups?

I'm okay with starting slow, though I think it might be good to get a bit of action in. I'm thinking we could do the standard "Suddenly there is an emergency" before/after/in-the-middle-of that? Perhaps a fire breaks out somewhere, there's a cartoon-y bank robbery and/or there's a supervillain (Probably a more laughable C-Lister) showing up and doing a plot.

Something fun we could is assign one of the faction kiosks to a player who isn't in that faction. That way we can still to with each other.

Smart, gets us a bit of practice while also making it so no-one is forced to solo-RP a kiosk. I second this idea!

[quote@Birdboy]Or just a training facility to test out powers and see who can do what.[/quote]
I'm on board with the idea of putting the team in a Power Testing Teambuilding Exercise. It's a simple way to keep an all-characters scene going and can lead quite nicely into an emergency call if we decide to go with my earlier idea.
@Xaltwind
I hope I'm not overstepping by wishing you my sincere condolences for what's going on in your life. As Birdboy (Edit: And Shoopuf, I got ninjaed by the post while I was typing) said, I don't blame you at all either. Sometimes shit just happens. And yeah, the RP was very fun. May you carry in non-bombastically to further adventures and the like.

As for the future of the RP, I'm on board with changing to a new GM, or possibly moving to a non-GM-based format. I'd kind of recommend the latter if no-one particularly wants to GM; since that'd make it more fun for everyone than forcing someone who doesn't want to GM into the position. Though, of course, if someone does want to GM, I'm on board with that as well. This is a great group and I am not at all picky about how we proceed. I think we can find a way to keep this going if everyone still wants to; but no pressure to anyone who may want to drop out.
I need to stop tempting fate about being less busy, lol.

@Uiop oh yeah? Like what?

Mostly potential dynamic&interaction stuff so far? We've got a number of characters going "Damn, all these other people here are far more the real deal than I am." and a variety of eclectic personalities that will have some fun contrasts. Though, tad hard to say something detailed at the present; since we just got started and all.

Personally, I don't typically assign playlists to my characters. There's a few times I've listened to a song and gone "Yeah this absolutely fits for this scene/character"; though that's not happened yet for Sleet. Still cool and fun to read through other people's lists though!
Gotcha and likewise! I should probably post around OOC more often; I've had a number of character thoughts.
Apologies for the delay, life certainly was.

Well looks like I've now got "Apologies for the delay II: Thanksgiving Edition", lol. I've sent in another RP post, shouldn't be as long between my posts anymore for a while!

Anyhow, not to echo what Birdboy said but take your time! Real life's bound to come first, and I fully understand the need to take time when composing a GM post. Plus I've not exactly been the picture of fast replies lately either, lol.

But yeah! Interest in the RP is still there (for me anyhow) and take thy time!

Also, this is our 100th OOC post. Yay?
Alain nodded in response to the secret agent tour guide's reply, and followed along with the group. The lad had previously walked through these hallways a number of times for a variety of reasons, and yet, there was still a layer of trepidation. This was, after all, something he'd wanted for a very long time, and he did not want to fuck it up.

As the group walked over, Alain thought back to what his father had reminded him of earlier in the day.
"Now remember kiddo, it's probably gonna be nerve-wracking and you'll feel as though everyone's watching you. Thing is, no-one's gonna be paying that much attention to the minutia. Your peers are gonna focus on the enrollment and half of them'll be just as, if not more, nervous than you are. As for the staff, well, that'll just be a normal day at the office for em."
The Iceberg

Then, the young lad remembered what his father said immediately thereafter.
"...alright, well, back when I was in your shoes people were watching me, but that's because I used to be a notorious mob enforcer before my, career change. Still have your mother and an alien invasion to thank for that. But that's besides the point, you're already doing much better than I did."
The Iceberg

Alain quietly chuckled, recalling the comedic stories he's heard of his parents' courtship as the group arrived. The thoughts of other, more comedic times did aid to calm his nerves. As the fledgling hero collected himself, he decided to take some quick notes of his peers. "...is, Valiant talking to someone else?" he thought, partially overhearing the man, before deciding the armoured man deserved his privacy "Eh, not gonna bother him with that right now. Lined up behind Butterfly, so they're probably both a variety of mage then. ...likely very different ones given that one's a knight and the other's a ninja. Starshine's in line for DATA, so she's likely some kind of tech wizard." Alain continued thinking, almost cringing at the unintended pun. "I don't see Dynamo, but he mentioned interest in SERAPH earlier, and if I've got a good read on him, he'll probably super-speed rush to that booth."
Keeping his worries distracted by thinking of the people around him, and lined up for the ELITE booth behind Vector. "Ah, so that's his hero name! Saves me the trouble of asking; now I got everyone's but the quiet lady from earlier."
