Man I just can't stick with a DND Group. I'm aware I feel pushy at times but I never intend to push anyone into doing anything. I'm just feeling so dejected at this point.

In general I've given up play by post roleplaying. I only check on occasion due to how NO ONE commits to forum posting in my over ten years of experience.

Bio

I'm one of the surviving members from the event known as Guild Fall. I am a big fan of Mobile Suit Gundam and am very specific on what I want in a roleplay. I have completed two roleplays (one is debateable) and have over six years of roleplaying experience dating back to when I was in Middle School.

@PandaBrady I'm mentioning you in case you didn't see my above comment about asking for posts.
It happens.

Panda can you post soon?
No but when you ram a smaller monster besides obelisk and take him down with U.A Dreadnaught dunker it's just a bonus. You don't need to run them over you just need to have ways to work around your opponent.
Andre only knows how the situation is played based on what he knows he has seen before. He has a hated for synchrons, and pendulum monsters because because he knows they're a real pain to displace. If he was put up against a wall against say Jurracs his response would be to turtle until he got his queens in the grave or his Emperor out. His natural response to all situations is to destroy indiscriminately. He doesn't have knowledge on all archetypes if you gave him a toon deck he'd probably lose his natural response being 'I really need to rely on this spell card?'. Also he doesn't even know how to properly pendulum summon if given let's say a Dinomist deck he'd probably get wrecked because well he doesn't know how scales work. All he knows is that those two big scale things bring out monsters and it's best if he could get rid of them as soon as possible. If that fails to too stall/Ram them with his guys until he can.

If you want Andre and Ben too stop being pessimistic know it alls then I'll stop playing that part of them up. Simple enough problem solved. I'll make Ben more of that Jaden type guy who finds class boring but does well in duels while Andre drops his annoyance at learning basics and try to have him genuinely attempt to memorize everything even though he's got a lot of experience in the grand scheme of things. Andre wants to go on and become a pro or at least get him something to put on a minor league career. Ben just wants to be a teacher so he can show other kids younger than him how to enjoy the game more.

@Eklispe You out play those cards. You can't play too much with toons without toon world for example so when they get their pieces out on the board you twin twister it or castel it away. You let them bring out their big monster and then you throw a lava golemn on it or volcanic queen or a kaiju. Let a pendulum player set out all of his cards then bottomless trap hole them into the grave or use solemn strike. Use battlefader at the start of the match and then use mask change 2 to bring out Dark Law. There are ways to beat someone without just stamping them with a lead pipe. Gishki can force cards back in the deck as well by way of their rituals acting not only a beat stick but a beatstick that shuffles enemies away without needing to punch them in the face. Or somehow stalling and getting out destiny board. I don't play it against real people but I've won against AI's in tag force using it.
I know it all off the top of my head I like to keep a list of stuff my character can and can't do mentally.
So unless I turn my characters into base level duelists after all the work I've put into my posts and my characters I'm getting kicked out? I'm sorry but that doesn't seem fair. It's not like they're using their knowledge to their advantage. They're not breakout super stars and both of them have only been in one duel and Ben won by the skin of his teeth by drawing out his queen. I can't fault Andre's one duel because he had no way out of the situation other than ramming your character's monsters.

If that's truly the case I will back out gracefully but I honestly don't think I'm doing anything wrong here. I haven't displayed any sign of trying to be OP. The most I've given is the aforementioned King Artorgius. If it wasn't for him Ben would've lost the duel right then and there and Artorgius at this stage is a real overwhelming obstacle. The reason I am refusing to change the depth of their knowledge all the way down to beginner as a GM myself seems far fetched. If you want to know WHY Andre is so dead on specific about keeping knowledge on in his head then I'll tell you in a private message. It's not like he's a super genius it's sheer determination and his unwavering disgust with having more main stream decks that keep certain things in mind. If he was playing against a junk deck (not synchrons), or amazons he'd not know how to counter them and rely on his archfiends to power through which would just put him in a hard place. I won't bother to speak about Ben because his response to anything has always been to try and get it out of there with his queen or by Rank 5 Artorgius leaving cards like Beelze to wipe him out. Andre and Ben haven't played against the following archetypes: Amazons, Harpies, Jurracs, Hazy Flame, Elemental Heroes, Neo-Spacians, Hunders, Steelswarm, BLS-Super Soldier, and Gishki. They also haven't seen Dark Magician, battle boxers, or normal pendulum monsters before (Decks that rely on effectless Pendulum summoning). Granted none of us actually play those archetypes but those are indeed the stuff they haven't seen and don't know how to counter without relying on their usual 'bash the thing until it's dead' mentality.
Andre and Ben have been dueling since they were small children. Their older brother is a pro on and off with his tag partner. Andre's backstory that has yet to be revealed had him dueling A LOT due to his uncle. Dueling, especially tag dueling, was a big part of their family history. If they learned nothing at all from tag dueling on the streets when they could and watching their big brother play in the big leagues then they're pretty piss level duelists. Ben himself is the least skilled out of the bunch of them and half of it is because he likes people to have a chance to duel bringing out his big guys only when he needs too. All of the Carson siblings have a big backround when it comes to dueling and Andre has the advantage of having played with different decks or having observed them being played. The one thing is Ben who has done nothing but warriors half the time. He finds the basic stuff boring because he's seen it done but he still hopes there are ways he didn't know of like the various elemental heroes and he's never seen a contact fusion before.

Andre knows the synchron combo because he had it used on him in the past and he got his ass whooped because of it during one of the pre-stated backstories. He refuses to use it because he's edgey like that and doesn't like following the same rhythm as everyone else why else would he have ARCHFIENDS as his archetype. Likewise even if he wasn't like that he'd be stuck with a basic synchron deck off the bat and he doesn't like using decks half cocked. Archfiends in his opinion are meant for all out brawling and even at their current stage. Why they're here is because Andre wants come credentials on his resume and Ben's here to make sure his brother goes through it alright and he himself is curious too see what he can learn.

As for Andre's attitude...he's an asshole who thinks if it isn't obvious enough to everyone at hand that they really are beneath his time. It's not a matter of him knowing it or not it's him viewing others as beneath him. Ben finds fusion boring because big shock there are no warrior fusions he's really interested in seeing come out outside of the buster blader archetype. When was the last time anyone actually used flameswordsman? He prefers easy Xyz summons or ways to find out how to bring out Xyz monsters as he likes the concept of taking his smaller guys and making bigger guys out of them. Andre sees his units as chess pieces, archfiend chesspieces not withstanding, and if he needs to sack a couple of his guys to get the 'king' piece or the player in this case then he's perfectly willing to throw his archfiends into the banished zone so his Emperor can go on a rampage.
As Andre walked up the corridor he couldn't help but see his brother following behind him in the shadows of the halls. It was quite pitiful too proud to ask for help but too ashamed of his own lack of something that he wouldn't come up to his younger brother. Ben was as he always was...a pitiful excuse for a jock who couldn't get his mind around the notion of ASKING FOR HELP. He always did things on his own when they were in question. Regardless of his brother however Andre could at least take solace in the fact that he was in his element. Synchro summoning was his 'major' here after all and his deck incorporated not one, not two, but three synchro monsters. All of them had their perks and synchros were devastating especially beasts like Trishula of the Ice Barrier. It was a shame the ice barriers themselves...lacked a certain power to them. From what he heard people loved ice barriers but couldn't stomach actually playing the bastards. As long as he didn't need to ride a god damn motor bike or whatever the hell turbo and action duelists did then he was happy with it. Andre saw two boys in the hall way and brush right past them without so much as an excuse me and went directly into the room and found the desk farthest in front so that he could take in as much as he could. It was probably basic shit but even basics need to be touched upon once in awhile. At least it wouldn't be as pissy as fusion. The CARDS SAID WHAT TO DO FOR GOD SAKES. At least with Synchros you had different possibilities, different outcomes, different and various methods to get them out. At least he didn't piss away like a little bitch and use the same recycled garbage everyone else did. Just spam those junk synchrons until you get out twenty monsters and half your deck. Where was the pride in that? Were people too afraid that Beelze couldn't handle their own so they had to thrown in T.G Librarian and all those other cards? Losers....
Is anyone going to get a post out soon?
"Hey don't shoot the messenger I'm just comparing this world of yours too what I know about actual, well actual isn't the right word now is it? Um I mean human world data. Data can be altered, viruses can infect it, and things can be duplicated so it's not too hard to assume from my point of view the same would be possible here. But I'll take your words on it. You live here after all and I got no right flappin' my gums on ideas that don't matter do I? The world is going to take awhile to adjust too...I just hope we actually do make it home after this...No offense to you guys but being stuck here in this world away from family and friends isn't something I relish. Not that I don't appreciate being given a partner like Kapurimon over here we'll figure something out I know it but until then I'm just going to have to base things off con...con-ject-ure? I think that's the word for this situation? Whatever I'm hungry and even if I wasn't best way to survive is to eat as much as possible no telling how long food will be found out in the middle of the world we're about to go into. As for those medical supplies...well I know first aid but I ain't qualified to fix up concussions and stuff." Derrick said as Kapurimon both felt the need to feel proud of his partner and slap him...too bad he had no hands. "I apologize on my partner's behalf for his bluntness though I do feel he is trying to make the best of the situation at hand." Kapurimon stated as he bounced aside his partner.
