The emissary looked at Auriel with some suspicion but Cole shook his head, and she nodded in return. "The King requests that the Sword, and Shield work together to assassinate the leader of the Black Stone Bandits that have been plaguing the country side." commented the emissary as Cole looked at her with confusion. The emissary ninja who nodded as if she expected the Sword to be confused which just made Cole all the more annoyed by the fact that she had just appeared out of nowhere and deemed it necessary to give him orders when they still needed to properly level up a bit more.

"Their leader has been found out, Rayla Winters, originally a gladiator from the city of Zeltoble she has since risen to glory by defeating guards, and bounty hunters alike. With the ravaging of our country possibly coming soon we cannot afford to let random bandits diminish our peoples' Morales even further." the emissary says as she looks at the Sword with a dull expression on her face. "Why us though?" Cole asked he thought about it for a moment but he knew right then and there that the people could probably very easily deal with bandits if they could sneak into a fully crowded bar unnoticed. "The King said in his wisdom he wanted to give you the peoples' backing. They will follow heroes who do more than just kill balloons, and rabid animals." the emissary says to Cole who looked at Fer. "What do you think? I'm ready to step up, and fight actual thinking living creatures." Cole says to his friend the Shield Hero.

A lot of Naofumi's abilities come mainly from the fact that he has fed his shield a large variant of substances that allow his shield to do a variety of different things. Its less his elemental affiliation, and more his hard work ethic paying off. If you insist I'll put down some basic abilities for Cole.

I believe the Naofumi's skills in cooking, and medicine just come from him leveling up those specific skills if there are any examples you'd like to show me to prove otherwise that would be fine. I do know the shield allows him to negate things like debuffs on motion sickness and the like. I'm not sure how exactly you want me to point out how things work for the shield by using Cole as an example. Cole's methods would be purely offensive in nature the exact opposite of yours. If you want just general ideas. Things like Shield soak, bathing an ally in water to douse fire, or Earth Wall to conjure a pure wall of earth in front of you ala Edward Elric are two things that come to mind.

Aqua Jet seems weird its not a protective spell nor in anyway does it seem to mesh well with a shield. Same goes with Marnia's blessing, and Neptune's gift.

Those seem like magic spells not abilities the shield hero would effectively have to call upon. Also in general there's way to many elemental types.

Before I read the others I feel like I need to say this: Remember I gave people up to two elemental proficiency.

Here's the original reddit post I have some experience but it was just one session and the dm kinda screwed me over, he rail roaded my character into death basically making him make a choice he wouldn't do for a number of reasons.

But if you don't like it whatever I'm still interested I just figured I'd let you know.

I'm not too familiar with the system you're using but I'd be willing to learn, and try it. But just so you know there is a system called monsters and other childish things that has a persona system in it.
