The third plot has completely caught my eye and imagination. Had a nice read through of the fan theory about the Enigma of Kirkwall. I've played the entire series, and sometimes feel like I'm one of the few who really enjoyed DA2's story.

I'd be interested in playing the new Viscount in such a story. My own posting is on the slower side of things. I too am married, work a full-time job, and have (only) one dog who demands my attention. I can usually guarantee a once per week post, and 3-6 (typically more for intros or scene setting) are the norm for me. I'd be happy to toss around some PMs in you're interested.

Frankie is 5'7" (170cm) and about 160lbs. (73kg). He has a hard time growing any facial hair, but the peach fuzz on his upper lip tries hard to exist. He's built to the average, not much in the way of defining muscles or an excess of pudge on his frame.

Personality:

Frankie is that guy who sits under a tree spouting his totally deep beliefs. Until someone disagrees with him, or questions him, that is. He resorts to violence quickly, and can hold a grudge and seek payback weeks after the initial slight. His words and his actions are often contradictory. He has a soft spot for protecting women, but only because he feels they are far too inadequate to care for themselves.

Main goal(s) for the school year:

Re-institute the Class King position, become Chess Champion, get a date (not that he hasn't been on plenty already of course, true ladies' man)

Description

Dictator High is an exclusive all-boys high school for cloned dictators. They not only focus on academics but also on instilling leadership traits and preparing boys to be ready for the responsibilities authoritarian rule demands.

Mission Statement

Dictator High recognizes that each child is an individual; that all children are creative; that all children need to succeed. Therefore, Dictator High respects the individual needs of children; fosters a caring and creative environment; and emphasizes the social, emotional, physical, intellectual development of each child.

General Information

Academic Life

Dictator High believes in providing a well rounded education for it's students. The year is split into a fall and spring semester. Each semester has a required number and type of courses to be taken:

• 2 core curriculum (math, science, and language)
• 3 specialized classes per semester (examples listed)

• Re-visioning History
• Propaganda and You
• Scapegoating 101

• 1 extracurricular per semester (art, music, or sports)

School Life

Grub Hub: Main cafeteria that serves breakfast from 6 - 8am, lunch from 11am - 1pm, and dinner from 4-7pm
The Fountain: Large 2 story library that is open 24/7
The Square: Central meeting place for out of class activities, large patch of grass and sidewalks in between the academic building, the library, the cafeteria, and the Administration building
Boarding Halls: 4 buildings beyond the main campus that house students based on their class year

Out of Character Information

• Player-characters will be high school aged boys, aged 13-18.
• Focus will be on out of class activities, but not exclusively.
• There is a nearby all-girls school for joint affairs, such as dances, theater productions, and the like.
• Gandhi is the principal. He just is, don't worry about it.
• Hitler was expelled after the last spring semester. It's rumored that he failed an art class, caused a ruckus, and ran away to join the boy scouts. He hasn't been heard from since.

Posting and Other Guidelines

• I expect proper spelling and grammar, but understand that typos occur.
• Post length should be one solid paragraph at a minimum - 5 sentences in the least. More is welcome, no need to write novellas though.
• This is meant to be humorous (sometimes darkly so), but keep in mind that randomlol does not equal hilarious.
• I do expect you to be at least wikipedia-familiar with the dictator you choose to portray.
• Post character sheets in the OOC first, and toss them into the character tab once approved.

It's the start of the Fall Semester. The Big Game is coming up as well as the Welcome To School Dance. The pressure is already on, and the social hierarchy struggle is real. Where do you stand?

So I only recently joined this site (as is probably evident through my post count) and this interest check totally caught my eye.
The only question I have is, is there a limit as to how far back can the dictators go? Would Julius Caesar, for example, be a valid choice for a clone?

Other than that, definitely interested to get involved with this super-duper-evil-dictator-high-school roleplay!

I can see the appeal of bringing in characters like Julius Caesar, but I do not see them fitting the role precisely.

I'm looking at, in general, for more modern applications of "dictator." In general, a term used to describe a leader who holds and/or abuses an extraordinary amount of personal power, especially the power to make laws without effective restraint by a legislative assembly. This would be characterized by some of the following traits: suspension of elections and of civil liberties; proclamation of a state of emergency; rule by decree; repression of political opponents without abiding by rule of law procedures; these include single-party state, and cult of personality.

With this kept in mind, I'm not convinced that rulers such as Julius Caesar fully fit that definition. But I'm open to others' thoughts on the exact definition. Sway me~
