Geoffrey Delshire

Upon arriving at the castle, Geoffrey's subtle worry quickly altered to anxiety - at last, the tactician saw for himself the very people he had been planning a war against. The Onyx Empire was strongly built, and he looked at their warriors who had come to meet the people of White Rock. The actual military force of the enemy was impressive, with most of the soldiers clad is great armor and brandishing all sorts of weaponry that could easily cut through some of the men Geoffrey had behind him. He tried his best to walk stoically into the west side of the courtyard, brushing the dirt from his green and white uniform that collected during the trot here. Geoffrey wanted to look presentable to the host of this occasion, but didn't want the Onyxians to take him lightly due to his average size. He was, after all, a representative of his nation, and seeing what he was up against, had to play the part well.

A few of the soldiers on both sides grasped at the hilts of their blades, a couple of them mumbling curses upon the other, and Geoffrey let his hand rest on his sheathed sword's pommel. The realization of the true animosity these men had for each other was unsettling to him, to say the least, and he tried to draw his attention away from the scene and toward the knight who had led them here. After watching the interaction between the two knight women, Geoffrey couldn't help but scoff under his breath as he noted just how much the two nations really meant to this great castle and its residents.

The green knight announced that it would be okay to rest, and Geoffrey's shoulders fell. Despite the tension that had been building up in his stomach, the young man felt a bit relieved that he could at last rest a bit, and he settled himself against a stone wall at the furthest end of the courtyard. He looked about at the people on both sides, taking note of a few of them that seemed to stand out from the rest - a small, yet large man on the Onyx side, bedazzled in all sorts of jewelry and fine furs, patting the sweat from his brow, yet making horribly loud and obnoxious comments, boasting his pride. Geoffrey figured he must be some kind of wealthy trader or noble, here to ensure he could get a cut of the deal. Also amidst the Onyxians, and Geoffrey couldn't help but find it fascinating, was a young servant girl who was spending her time tidying up another nobleman's outfit while seeming rather small herself. She was actually quite pretty, he thought, observing her subtly while also noting the flamboyance of the nobles from the Onyx empire - not too different from the ones he had to occasionally deal with in the office.

From the White Rock Confederacy, he most notably saw a blue-haired woman amidst the other soldiers, looking... Quite terrifying, actually. Thinking back to the report he had read, Geoffrey figured the woman was named Kehah, or at least, he thought that's what her name was. He had heard a few stories about her talent with a blade, and how deadly she could be in the dark. Definitely a danger in a fight - thank the spirits she was on his side. Maybe he would try to acquaint himself with her, so long as she didn't take his head off from approaching her.

Izumi

Great, as if this thing wasn't hard enough to clean. Annoyance and discomfort quickly flushed over Izumi's face as dirty water seeped into her black Shōzoku, chilling the girl's skin as her whole body was drenced. The young kunoichi pressed herself down to the mud beneath the sitting water in the rolling field of rice, using the muck-ridden water as cover for her position. When she had heard the metal of arms clanking ahead of her, she had tried her best to gracefully dive into the water, so as to make as little a splash as possible - any noise at all and she'd probably have a few arrows in her back by now. Izumi lifted her head to the surface, only enough to let her eyes gaze about at the road ahead.

Earlier that day, there had been quite a bit of rainfall that had covered this region of the countryside, and above her, dense gray clouds still loomed across the sky, dimming the area and making everything feel pretty gloomy. Izumi looked up into the air, searching for the sign she needed. She saw the small glint of metal far above, and the black beacon that carried it. Kuro, her best friend - the night heron that she had saved not too long ago, and nursed to health. Their bond was unbreakable, and Kuro proved incredibly useful, too - the constant flashing of his fake metal talons signalled trouble ahead, and that Izumi had best lay low.

I suppose I could try and take a look... Better hunt for some cover. Izumi glanced around - what was she thinking? The small stalks and leaves of rice poked up in dense rows that spread on for acres, leaving no possible location for her to hide and dry off, other than right next to the road, which was conveniently quite a few feet above her, so she could at least kneel down - albeit, uncomfortably, but considering her circumstances, it wasn't like she could get less comfortable. She waded herself closer to the edge of the road, trying to keep her eyes the only part of her body above the surface. She scouted about for Kuro's location - good, he was still a ways further down the road, which means whatever it was that she should stay away from was, too. She finally got to the bottom of the small ledge and pushed herself along the path, trying her best to close the distance between her and her adversary.

When she got close enough to the clanking of armor and weapons, she tried to listen in on how many there were. From their pace and footsteps, Izumi figured that there couldn't be more than about 3 of them, walking along the road. But now, the real fun began, and she slowly and quietly rose up from the water to try and take a peek.

@Halvtand
@FallenTrinity

You know I love you too much to ask for your character's death :P
@Spinosaurus it's up to you to make the call - you being GM and all. I'm willing to go with whatever you decide, and I'll stick around 'til the story's over or we're all dead, whatever comes first. I'm almost always lurking around.

I don't really like the idea of eliminating @DJRaVeS's character, but if we have to, for the sake of continuation, then I suppose we have to. I don't really know how to go about introducing a new character into the mix, and I really don't necessarily want to go back to my previous posts and edit them just for the sake of implying that someone in the story was just "always here". At that point, I would have to wonder if it's worth it. If that is, however, the ultimate decision, then I will comply with whatever altercations I should make.

As for the sin-taking-control idea, I'm more willing to go with that idea, but:
  • Who will play as the sin? (I'm assuming @Spinosaurus? I mean, I can, but then I feel like the bad guy for playing someone else's character. And we can always get someone else who isn't currently involved to play the part, but then they're in the same situation, playing a character that they haven't created)
  • Will they still play as the human, reference the human's captivity, or any other situations that gives us insight to the human's situation?

These are all decisions that I'm leaving up to Spino. I'm willing to give my thoughts on the matter, but for the most part, I really don't know what we should do. Does anyone have any other suggestions on how to go about handling this?
@Halvtand I'll have somethin' up by the end of the night!

EDIT: Oookay, hopefully that will do. I wasn't really sure how much I was allowed to put in for what I was up against, cuz you didn't specify (and you did say that I could use my imagination for that!), so I just said that there were about 3 of whatever they are. Is that alright, or did you have a different plan?
Despite just setting my character up behind Vashonn's, I'm going probably wait to post after them.

I'll have somethin' up by the end of the day, then!

@Crumbs Mos' def, I'd be down to see it! You can also throw it in the Discord if you'd like. It'd give me some time to brainstorm Nightshade's intro
Aaaand if anyone has any interactions they'd like to plan with Willard before we get the mission started, feel free to PM me at any time. I'm lookin' at you, @FantasyChic - Dunno if R0se wants to put down a couple of boundary rules before Willard goes with her, considering how upset she is with the situation and that Willard doesn't have any clue as to how a mission would typically run.

Otherwise, my boy has a bladder to drain and he'll probably just eat potato chips and watch his holovision for the remainder of the night, until the mission begins!
