From precious, shiny gold to lustrous silver and rare platinum; The best iron for weapons and raw materials for building. Due to its close proximity to the, as the locals call it, Stormpike mountain range, Belintash always had a flourishing economy centered around mining and trading.

HISTORY
	The people of Belintash boast deep roots in the northern lands of the Emperiat. Urnst, the largest and most renown city in the province started out as nothing but a simple mining village. However, several generations before the rule of King Anderis, the miners of the village, after many years of fruitless digging, struck gold. 

With the passing of time and the help of the mountain in the form of wealth, Urnst grew larger and more populated, attracting men and women who were seeking their fortunes from all over the world. They, in turn, started creating more cities near Urnst and settled down there. In the end, It was declared a Grand Province by one of Anderis's forefathers, who sent one of his most trusted men, Jaggen Farwynd, to rule over it.

Many generations later, the Farwynd Coat of Arms is still found waving proudly over the now heavily fortified walls of Urnst. The great-great-great grandchild of Jaggen, Basil Farwynd now possesses the titles of Viceroy of Belintash and Guardian Protector of the Imperial Mines. In his earlier years, Basil was renown throughout the lands for his strict but fair rule over his lands and his undying loyalty to the Emperiat. Nevertheless, although Time cannot diminish his loyalty, It has weakened him considerably, both in body and spirit.

When he heard of the betrayal that had befallen his friend and king, Anderis, he mourned for many a day. During this time, a letter arrived in his hands that detailed the appointment of the late king's son, Elendin, to the throne. Along with the letter came a King's Order, directly asking from Basil to send an advisor to nurture and teach the young King Elendin in the ways of ruling.

Although his first thought was for himself to go, his weakened self was not all that happy with the proposal. Hence, he decided to send his eldest daughter, Layna, in his place. Although life had not blessed Basil with a strong son, he had dutifully and lovingly raised both of his daughters to have a strong heart and willpower, along with a strong sense of duty. Thus, he knew for a fact that Layna would not fail to meet that task of guiding the young King.

	Layna is known for her high intelligence and analytical thinking, along with a passion for strategy and warfare. She used to accompany her father on his visits to the Imperial Capital, before the late king's death. She was once praised for her beauty, but since the assassination attempt that left her with permanent scars on her face and back, she has been receiving fewer and fewer compliments.

SECRET
	More of a personal belief that she has never disclosed to anyone than a secret, Layna harbors ill thoughts towards the Emperiat and the Royal Family. She believes that the Emperiat is not worthy of the wealth and riches of her homeland. She believes her line is much more worthy of the throne and if that is not possible, then she would rather have Belintash detach itself from the Emperiat than be under their rule. Of course, she knows that her father would be devastated if he ever realized her traitorous thoughts.

SKILLS
	An abnormality if you wish, Layna is one of those few women who do not bode well with housework. Instead, she is known throughout the province of Belintash as a shrewd and intelligent young woman, well versed in the matters of both warfare and administration, a byproduct of Basil's strict teachings.

When she was 18, she was the target of an assassination attempt. Unfortunately for the assassin, she always keeps a knife under her pillow at night. That, coupled with the fact that she is a very light sleeper caught the assassin out of guard. The result? Him on the floor with a slashed carotid and bleeding to death and her with a multitude of scars, mainly a small one under her eye and another, bigger one on her back, reminding her of the incident for the rest of her life.
