When Adelisa said that leaving the trip would be the biggest mistake she would ever make, Lila raised her eyebrows in skepticism. It sounded like Dela was threatening her, and that was one of the many things that made Lila angry. But before she could lash out instantly like she normally would, she applied the lessons she'd tried to learn in therapy and listened to all that she had to say instead. It would be her turn to talk afterwards.

The way Adelisa was talking made it seem like Delilah was a high school girl with an immature issue with her ex-boyfriend. If only she knew how deep the situation with her and Jar had been, and how she would never be able to ever forget what had scarred her so... But that was the point, right? She didn't know. No one else besides Jareth knew why it was so painful to remain in his presence for more than a few seconds. Maybe it was time to finally tell someone else, and maybe it would help her heal just a little of the gaping hole in her chest.

Lila looked at Adelisa with tears in her eyes, but took a few moments to gather up the courage to finally tell someone what had happened to her. "Dela... Remember the two months I was at that internship in another state? The one where I was completely unable to communicate with anyone? Well, the truth is it wasn't an internship. I was at a mental preserve that I checked myself into because..." Lila took a moment to calm the sobs that began to overwhelm her. "I lost a child. I was pregnant. I was having a little baby with Jareth, and though it was completely unplanned and unexpected and coming at the worst moment possible, I was so excited. I've never been so hopeful in all my life. I thought that maybe that was the sign that Jar and I could make all the shit in our relationship work for the sake of our baby, and that we would not only be a happy couple again, but be a happy family. But then the day before Valentine's Day happened; we broke up and the next thing I know I was waking up the next day cramping and bleeding and... My tiny little baby fell into my hands. And just like that, all my hopes for a future alongside the man I love and our perfect creation were gone..."

Lila completely broke down. "I had never felt so alone and worthless in my whole life. I couldn't make my relationship work, and I couldn't even keep my own child safe and alive." It was a long time until Lila managed to calm down, and when she did, she spoke with little breaks in her voice. "Jar is much more than an ex-boyfriend to me. He was the father of my angel baby, even
if it was just for those eight weeks that it lived in my womb and he had no idea about it. This is why it hurts so much to just be near him: he's a reminder of the future I couldn't and will never have. I thought that maybe by giving each other another chance we could make things work, but the old insecurities came back, and now we're once again two ex-lovers with too many painful memories shared between them."

Lila gave a deep sigh while wiping away her tear-stained face. "I will sacrifice myself only ONE more night, and this one night I will remain holed up in our condo. I will not risk being in his presence anymore, and will not be staying here any longer than that." She looked into Dela's eyes. "Please don't try to convince me otherwise. My heart can't take it."

Bio : Born in the richest town of Israel to petrol company owner Ruhann Hassan and his wife Nourah, Nejmah is the first born child of the couple and the older sister of Reyhna Hassan. She had been a highly anticipated baby, and though her father had been disappointed about finding out he was having a heiress instead of a heir, one look at his breathtakingly beautiful baby girl and he was smitten. Nejmah grew up spoiled and being a Daddy's Girl, favorited over her sister for being the firstborn. She expressed her desire to enter the world of pageants at five years old, and at that age she became Mini Miss Israel, thus also developing an ambition of joining the modeling industry. By the time she was thirteen, Nejmah had shelves of won crowns, graced the cover of many prestigious magazines, strolled down the catwalk of well-known Israeli designers and been the face of fashion campaigns, all the while keeping excellent grades.

At the age of fourteen, the Hassan family moved to the United States for business purposes, and it didn't take long before Nejmah was at the top of the high school social pyramid in the private academy her sister and her had been enrolled in. She took a break from modeling and became a cheerleader, doing her job so well that she was named captain in her junior and senior years. He, in turn, fathered a child with a human woman, thus making his offspring Elioud. Nejmah was born with the characteristic Elioud and Nephilim trait of six fingers and toes on each hand and foot, but her parents had them removed shortly after birth. The name of her soulmate tattooed in Hebrew on her wrist and the date on Roman numerals was also something she'd been born with, but despite her parents' many attempts to remove the mark, it had been useless work. Traits coming from her divine blood are her exquisite beauty, fast healing, slow aging and extraordinarily long life span.

No sooner had she finished speaking that Adelisa and Jareth walked back into the room. A shadow of whatever she was feeling before vanished from Dela's face as soon as she locked eyes with Lila, being replaced for something similar to guilt. Had Lila's thoughts been so obvious? It was a trait of Delilah's to let her every emotion show clearly on her face, whenever it be bad or good, so it wouldn't come as news to her if she'd been as easy to read as a book.

To Lila's great suprise, Dela was brave enough to take the seat next to her. "Can I talk to you outside later?" Dela asked her gently.

Lila turned to face her, trying her hardest to make herself expressionless. "I plan to be on my way home later, so the sooner the better." She stood up and walked to the door, throwing the empty Starbucks cup in the trash and stopping at the doorway to give Adelisa a questioning look, hand on her hip.

Are you still with us @Meridian?
Lila watched Jareth leave with Adelisa, but not before giving her a lingering glare she caught out of the corner of her eye. The only response he got was her flipping him off, without even bother to look at him. Even though Adelisa was almost like a sister to her and she seemed really pissed at Jar, there was still a lagging sensation that she couldn't be trusted with other people's ex-boyfriends. It made Lila feel instantly guilty about distrusting one of her best friends like that, but after having witnessed Dela kissing Hunter... Well, Lila's suspicion was more than justified. Then again, what should it matter to her what Jareth did, anyway? He was nothing to her, and it was once again time to let everything related to him go.

After Adelisa and Jareth left the room, Lila watched as Hunter attempting to sit up, but was unsuccessful. He'd winched in pain, then looked down on his stomach where a large bandage was now in place. "Well damn. That looks like it was pretty bad." he said nonchalantly to no one in particular.

Lila rolled her eyes. "No shit, Sherlock," she said in an annoyed voice, still simmering from what he'd done earlier. "You lost a shit ton of blood and had a hole in your chest. To any normal person, that would be considered more than 'pretty bad'."

It didn't seem like Hunter was even listening to her, and if he was, he pointedly ignored her by looking around the room. "Uhm? Where's Amelia?" he asked.

Lila shrugged. "I honestly have no idea. I haven't seen her since last night at our condo. Hopefully she also realized how stupid this 'vacation' turned out to be with having our exes in the room across ours and decided to leave without anyone." She gave a deep sigh. "I wish I had done that. I don't want anyone trying to convince me to stay here another damn minute more than necessary."
Lila to Jar:

Sorry for taking the longest time ever to reply. I hope my post was okay!

Btw, Jar's gonna get his ass whipped and not in the good way XD
To everyone's surprise given her state of hysteria earlier, Lila was sitting quietly on the hospital chair next to Adelisa, trying to keep her distance from Jareth. There wasn't an ounce of stress on her; in fact, she'd arrived at the hospital sipping a Venti White Chocolate Mocha from Starbucks. She'd watched the cops interrogate Hunter without feeling sorry or sympathetic; after all, the guy had brought it onto himself. What made her startle and almost jump out of her seat was when Adelisa shot off and began to shout at the officer. Lila knew better than to say something while her friend was so altered (hell, if it were her and anyone tried to tell her to calm down... They could ask Jareth about the consequences), so instead she remained seated until Dela had come back to her senses.

When the officer finally left the room, Lila took her chance to explain to the group the reason for her unnerving calm. "So, I'm going back home tonight," she told the others, her empty eyes focused straight ahead. Even though she didn't feel guilty about what she had decided, she couldn't bear to look at the others' faces. She'd thought about leaving long and hard, and the reasons to go were much more than the ones to stay. Lila took a long sip of her drink before continuing. "In the few days I've been here, I've witnessed betrayals, lies, accidents and had my heart be crushed into pieces again. This vacation is turning out to be a real nightmare, and I don't want to be a part of it anymore. As soon as we're done here, I'll be going straight to my room, pack my bags and be gone."
