I've been mulling over the idea of a Finnish sniper (the irony of a Finn fighting for the Soviets...), but not entirely sure if I'll go through with it yet. Just wanted to note a potential interest!
Well, the biggest issue would be in her getting caught - there'd be less issue if she did succeed. Yeah, a lot of people would suspect the Gerudo even without any solid proof - but with the kind dead, it would be the queen's word that mattered at that point. If the king's forces openly disobeyed the queen/her regent aka the proper ruler in order to war with the Gerudo, welp, looks more like a civil war in the making.

For Nadi, any chaos Hyrule'd be plunged into after the king's death is a better scenario than the king going and "killing her people by the thousands."

Although to be fair, she hasn't really thought it that far. Her thoughts ended at "king wants to kill my people = fuck the king off with his head." She lived her entire life in the war, she doesn't have the most stable grip on this concept of "peace". |D''

But yeah, since she would fail, that would be prime fuel for another war, for sure. "Look, a Gerudo tried to murder the king!" But she hasn't exactly thought of the possibility of failure, so that's irrelevant to her thought process. To her, her plan makes sense.

Tl;dr: a real hothead she is, for sure.
Getting late, so will probably reply tomorrow.
I would personally prefer Japan to keep with the theme (and because I'm much more familiar with Tokyo as a place than NY, though I figure that's the opposite for most people). I'm fine with NY as well, though.

We can have variety in the cast no matter the place, though. There are always exceptions and minorities, no matter where you go.

Telma's Bar
Green District, Castle Town

"That she did," Nadijah admitted in a low mumble, "But not fast enough."

A peace chosen out of necessity wasn't benevolent peace. It was cowardice. She would not sing praises to a queen that only chose to end bloodshed after her side had failed to seize victory by force.

"... I will sit with you."

Even so, Nadijah's curiosity remained. It clung to her soul like her wet cloak clung to her skin, sending shivers up her arms. She would've been long gone by now had she not held some form of interest in the queen's plea. And so, she followed the elder Gerudo back towards her bar, away from the well and the secrets it held. It was a rational decision, by all means - and that's why it felt so foreign. Her blood burned for action and answers. By following Telma, she would only get one of the two.

The warm air that greeted Nadijah upon entering the bar carried a faint smell of alcohol and wood. It was pleasant; certainly better than the reek of soaked leather and mud that permeated the outside. The seat she took was dry, as well - a nice contrast to the wet rooftop she'd waited half an eternity on.

Nadijah listened with a quiet courtesy only given to one of her kin. She wasn't entirely pleased by what she heard, however; if Telma only knew what the queen's agents told her, it meant she only knew what the queen wished her to know - be they lies or no. She could believe the bit about the king, however, she still failed to see how---

Ah.

"The heir?" Nadijah blurted out all of a sudden, arms crossed and brows raised. She was starting to piece it together now - at least, if the information was true. "Is it the babe the queen wishes us to rescue, then?"

She fell silent. Then: "Our people have bled enough. The Hylians, clearly, have not. Why should we play the part of glorified babysitters to a royal brat, when we could slay the king upon arrival and eliminate the problem once and for all?"

She leaned over the table, fire in her eyes and heart, burning away all reason and caution alike. "My blade is ready, sister. I cannot trust Hyrule, but I trust your word of the king's evil. There is indeed another way to help the cause. Come with me, and by dawn, we will have the king's head upon a blade."

And if the queen was in fact complacent in the king's scheme, her head would follow suit.
Hey, cool. That's good to hear.

And yeah, that could be a good way to categorize them. Then you can also choose whether there are only 7 races included, or whether the rest would just be outside the sin-association and would not be governed by a prince. Wild cards, kind of.
Sounds fair enough for a basic premise, and you got my interest if extensive knowledge on the SMT games isn't necessary. I've played the Persona games, the first Devil Survivor and Digital Devil Saga and been part of an SMT rp in the past - but that's about it.

So with that, I'm also not sure how much help I would be in fleshing things out with my limited knowledge, much as I'd like to help.

Only random suggestion I could throw off the top of my head is that perhaps there could be seven protagonists (a good number of players for a small-mid group), with each one being tied to one of the seven deadly sins? Perhaps they could contract demons tied to that sin better, or attract demons of that sin in general (both in good and bad) towards them? With perhaps the Seven Princes of Hell being bosses they need to defeat, with the corresponding protagonist getting to shine when facing a prince of their own branch of sin?

ClichΓ©, but y'know.
What's your general idea?
Going to be posting in a minute.

Will probably wait until the rest of the group has posted and established that they are indeed together before throwing Nadijah into the mix, though. Easier for the ones who haven't yet posted.

Edit: Posted. She wants to do the stabby stab. She doesn't realize doing the stabby stab is probably difficult.
Seconding (thirding?) the others. Welcome back, Sock!

Ready to start whenever you all are. Assuming, er, that Duncan was accepted. If not, will fix whatever needs fixing first.
