I've also got the Darkness spell, and will have Shadow Step in one more level - so synergy all around! Even though I only have regular Darkvision (plus the spell to grant it to others), unfortunately...

Also, is it just me or does Jhimas' sheet link to Aurix?
So I rolled for HP and got 1 less than I would have if I'd taken average (rolled 6, 6, 6 and... 1). Damnit Nat 1, why did you have to come and ruin the streak?
Posted the specifics of my planned character on the previous page if you need it, DTHar. I'm not sure of the alignment yet, since I tend make the character first and then see what alignment most closely fits them after.

I've a question about HP - do we roll for it, take average or whichever of the two options we want? I usually roll for it, though I am a bit traumatised after 3/4 of my HP rolls for a previous character were... Nat 1s. With 0 con bonus. Needless to say, he turned out the squishiest of bois.
Haven't heard of the GUTS+ system before, but I'd be interested in trying it out, if you'll have me.
Settled with a Feral Dispater Tiefling Way of the Shadow Monk (that's a mouthful). So a... rogue-ish monk, what's with all the stealth, illusion and darkness stuff he gets access to.

It was a tossup between that or a bulkier, life-stealing Way of the Long Death Monk (Levistus' Armor of Agathyst would have been nice synergy). Not sure if I'll come to regret the lack of bulkiness, but RP-wise the other option sounded more fun.

Started on my sheet as well, should hopefully finish tomorrow unless work kills me.
^ I'd say that level of clashing of personalities is just part of the fun - and it's not as though our characters are only their alignments. Or that's how I see it, anyway.

I mean, we have been a group for a while, so we do get along to a degree anyway. But that doesn't mean there can't be some clash of views from time to time. Long as no one dies, ha.
I was assuming no one would be evil per se, since--- I'm the first person to say I live for character conflict, but killing each other goes a bit beyond. Maybe a Lawful Evil could work? Given enough reason to behave.

I'm really undecided with my Tiefling Monk. If I go the more roguish route (Way of The Shadow/Glasya), probably Chaotic Neutral. If I go with a 'looks evil but actually, u know, a good monk how dare you assume things. he/she is trying really hard to repent' (Sun Soul/Zariel) then probably anything from Lawful Good to Chaotic Good. And I really digged Way of the Long Death, whatever that entails...

In short: no clue yet.

But I'm also curious about the alignments, so seconding that question.
East European (Summer) Time here, so almost half past 11 PM.

Mordenkainen's Tome of Foes, huh? I'll have to check that out, thanks! I'm pretty settled on a Tiefling Monk, though not yet sure on subrace/subclass. Figured that since I've wanted to try both, why not combine them? :P

And gotcha, will use Roll20 for my sheet then. Less chance for me to mess up, too.
Hmm, so we have a Warlock, Wizard, and possibly Paladin and a Bard.

Considering bringing back a Rogue of mine (Halfling, Chaotic Neutral), though he's more geared for social situations than dungeons, so-- might make a Tiefling Rogue instead. I've wanted to try that race for a while.

Barring that, I've also been itching to try a Monk, so that's another option for the Tiefling... choices, choices.

As far as sheets go, I've only ever used Roll20's character sheets thusfar, but can migrate over to whatever format is preferred - or export a sheet from there, I believe?

I'll do my stat rolls and get started on a sheet today (or tomorrow, getting late in my time zone).
Not sure what I'd like to play yet (so many choices!), but I'm definitely interested. I haven't done D&D in a play-by-post format before, but I love D&D and I love writing, so this sounds right up my alley.
