Sorry for poofing, will get a post up here this week (and in Witchlight as well)!
Apologies, life ate me there! I'm fine with surrendering my spot though yeah; afraid another busy spell might steal me and I don't wanna stop things in their tracks.

If you have a need for more later on and things settle, lmk. Good luck with the rp otherwise!
Debating between a half-elf girl and a halfling guy myself.

Rats had learnt a lot in the last few days. In particular, there were four lessons that had stuck with them, most likely because they all pertained to food.

#1: That Muste could create it! Yes, he needed to be given some food first for it to work, but 'plenty' was more than 'a little', so even though Rats couldn't exactly count, they could surmise it was worth it to bring the Illithid every single scrap too small to fill their bellies or, if they could not find him, fill his bed with them instead.

#2: While the Oracle could also create food as Rats had already witnessed, it seemed opposed to doing it. Something about gambling and a sick kobold? Rats didn't really get it. They had eaten he same food the kobold had and all they remembered was an interesting aftertaste. As such, they'd kept pestering and pestering the Oracle untilβ€”

#3: Never trust a wedding cake.

But it was lesson number four that had them out and about now, hiding in the bushes with the big snake lady. On their first expedition, they'd found a human nest and food! But not food the way bread was food, or even the way normal meat was food. What they'd found had extra taste! A lot of it! The humans must've done something to it.

They wanted more of it, and so did SalbjΓΆrg, so here they were, about to get more of it. Except Sal β€” who had transformed and whose new appearance the Rats had then tried to rate a 10/10 with their 8 fingers β€” was leaving, planning to walk straight into the human camp. That seemed dangerous. Even if she looked different, there was still the lady with the broom, ready to strike the moment she noticed anything suspicious!

Rats had a big long think, then split; three scurried after Sal and tried to slip amidst her clothes (difficult as it was, because they were tight), technically doing exactly what she'd asked them to: hiding, just closer by than she'd intended. The rest stayed behind, displaying various signs of stress and impatience and regret for having done so.

Larry wandered off into camp, alone, but to his credit, he did try to be stealthy about it.
I like Thief set #3! Should mention though that I'm also fine with the Magic-user, if Poo wants Thief. I feel like I should get the last pick, since I was last to express interest, ha.

They were joined by two more at the table; a human woman and what Cedess believed to be a leonin, a species he had not encountered before, except on the pages of dusty tomes in his family's study.

Cedess turned from them both once the masked man spoke up again. Them being on another plane was not that surprising a revelation, all things considered. One of the masked figures having created the plane however, was a feat worth notice β€” and indeed, some concern.

He would keep an eye on the woman with the eagle mask.

A servant returned with a chalice in hand, a familiar smell wafting past the rim. He took it, assessing the quality of the liquid within β€” as well as its origin. Drinking directly out of the servants, as Mortimer suggested, had not even crossed his mind. He did not know where they had been, and had little desire to ruin his attire besides.

"I should think you rather unqualified to lecture others on dramatics," Cedess dragged his free hand in the air in a slow arc, urging the man to remember where they were, and through whose machinations. The people in masks, the feast laid out before them and, beyond all that, the effort that must've gone into creating a realm for what amounted to a game... now that, he thought as he brought the chalice to his lips, was quite dramatic. "Fear not. Just as you don't eat the rats scurrying about your halls, I have no desire to touch your servants."

Had the blood proved fresh and untainted enough to drink, Cedess would sip it while watching the drama between the self-proclaimed β€” yet quite eloquent β€” 'primitive' druid and the masked men unfold.
I think Spix is being pretty truthful but just in case, would Capri notice him leaving anything out or otherwise lying or the like?

Got a few other posts to do first and will leave tmrw until Sunday, so will likely post when I'm back but checking in advance!

... Also realized I mixed up some names so did a quick edit in my last post oop.

Sshizna clicked her tongue as she watched the bard's inexplicable joy. The die he had fished out of the frog's mouth seemed like such an altogether useless trinket that the Yuan-ti could not fathom it warranting such a strong reaction.

Her attention was redirected from the senseless man back to Rory soon enough however, when the latter told her the land had been split. Sshizna stared at the woman, incredulous, expecting this to be one of those 'jokes' her mentor had told her about. But when Rory turned back to the bard without any signs of laughter she could discern, Sshizna quickly realized the elf had spoken true. They had split the land after they'd seized it! Those detestable, putrescent sacks ofβ€”

She was, if only for a moment, aflush with genuine anger, to an extent it surprised her. Feelings, when they did come, were more akin to suggestions, whispers Sshizna had to truly focus on to understand. Yet now, she needed no help deciphering what was happening; why her pulse quickened, and her lips curled back into a snarl.

Oh, the irony. She would be proud of such a display, she was sure. But Sshizna herself was not. She inhaled so sharply it became a hiss, then took the opportunity to turn back to the bard. She had paid attention to something he had said, at the very least.

"Here in Prisssmeer, promisssesss bind usss. I will sssee to it that you do indeed repay thisss debt.

She turned back to the elf. "I ssshall accompany you, to whoever thisss... Clapperclaw isss. I believe I mussst learn more of what hasss become of the land I knew, before I can hope to ressstore it."
Any chance there's room for one more? Possibly as a Thief--
Will have something up tomorrow!
