Apologies if I hurt your feelings, wasn't the intent, just wanted to give a general tip going forward πŸ‘ Should also note that I didn't bring into question GAH's ability to handle anything, at any point.
Capri exiting the pub:

Wow, insight got a glow-up. A 19 gives you alignment And character class, without even a call for a counter-roll (not that Voth would likely succeed at a counter-roll)? Going to have to keep that in mind. That's a lot of useful information to have about every NPC for the rest of the campaign that Voth can get on a 12+.

If you have a question or disagree with a DM's decision, you can just bring it up regularly tbh, no need for all that passive aggression.

Something was, indeed, very wrong with Yetu. Fellwing could tell upon approach and certainly upon touch, when something briefly brushed against her mind, only to retreat alongside the fearful troll. It made sense he was scared; she had hurt him, after all.

He had tried to hurt someone first!

He wasn't himself!

Yes, there was more to his fear than that, wasn't there? Fellwing hesitated. Griped by anger as she was, the Seer didn't know whether she had it in her to be a source of comfort β€” especially after what her magic had done. Would he even allow her to attempt another spell, even if it was Moon Magic?

"He's scared, Runa. You're right, something's happened. Can you... talk to him? Ask him how we can help? I don't think I'm in a position... to..." she looked sheepishly down at her feet, at her claws, remembering the way she'd stomped them down in anger but a moment ago.
Posted! Going to start next post with him hearing Pepper's shout, ha.

... Shit. He'd messed up.

Capriccio could tell by the silence that followed his question, by the way the others turned to look at him, all at once, like he'd just asked what colour the sky was. Capriccio's tail froze, and he could feel the corners of his mouth starting to twitch, as if to try and escape his smile. Too bad; his smile was too practiced to go anywhere, even now.

The Witherwild. He had heard about it, of course, though mostly in attempts to downplay it. It was normal, after all, that those who lived in the boondocks ran into nature's quirks and deceases every now and again, no? From his experiences prior, Capriccio had figured those in power had downplayed the true extent of it.

... He hadn't known it was this bad.

"Y-yes, well, the cases haven't reached the big city, and it can be tough to tell truth from rumour..." he trailed off, averting his gaze, but not his mind. Maybe he could turn this into something useful yet. Amp up the ignorance β€” not that it apparently needed that much amping β€” and maybe they'd feel the need to educate him. Maybe he'd learn the truth, like he'd come here tβ€”

A bellow, shouting, a ruckus. Capriccio straightened, tail and all, whipping his head towards the sound. He wasn't the only one, and the collective alarm was making him worry even more. So that wasn't normal around here, he took it?

"What in the Circle Below was that...?"

"I'm guessing," Capri started, cautious as he slid off his seat. "That I might just be about to see a case. Personally." He fished out a few coins, enough for two more rounds of beer as promised, tossed them back at the barkeep and dashed towards the door.

It was then, as he reached for the handle, that the memory of a familiar hat down below resurfaced. By theβ€” she wouldn't be anywhere near what was happening, would she?!

... Oh, who was he kidding?! Pepper was going to be smack dab in the middle of it, knowing her!

Capriccio picked up his pace.
Food break but will post here (and Epyllion) after. I'll, err, come up with rumour a little later so I don't hold us back more, ha.

Also yeah, Happy (belated) New Year!
<Snipped quote by Vertigo>

Jub, with his newly increased intelligence score: Excuse the fuck out of you!

Although, one thing to note, that I haven't mentioned: Jub isn't wearing his wizard robe. He actually hasn't been wearing it this entire time, since giving it to Brutrumukk after his rebirth. And even after it was given back to him, he still hasn't worn it.

So yeah, Sschiza is (somewhat) forgiven for not recognizing Jub as a wizard. He isn't looking super wizardly right now.

Aha, deserved comeback for sure.

And gotcha, my bad, I'll remove the line about his robes then!
I, err, made the assumption Sshizna would recognize Elvish, even though she doesn't speak it, considering it must be pretty common and likely related to Sylvan! But lmk if you'd rather I roll for that first.

By the way, the bits from Voth, Jub and Brutrumukk's conversation were actual sentences they said, I just ran them through a scrambler online since Sshizna doesn't speak the language and would hear gibberish anyway. :D

Hm. Whatever the poster said, Sshizna could not decipher, even if she did recognize the tongue. She could gather it must've been a missing poster or the like, but the details at the bottom were what interested her, and she could make no sense out of them. It did not help that people were altogether shouting behind her! First Rory, then another, truly, did no one understand she was trying to concentrate?!

Annoyed, she clicked her tongue and whipped around to find the goblin and the gnome had awoken, and were now conversing with a bugbear who'dβ€” where had he even come from?

It made no matter.

"Doesss any of--"

"lEf fslhe houht?g eTh ettas 'o ttah epeddsn no thaw teyp fo elf rey aet'in."

"I'm sssure whatever you jussst sssaid isss very important, howeβ€”"

"Bnee ni eesth swldi enlrog hant as I lwudo."

"Tragic, now if any of you wβ€”"

"sI ihst a aemrdβ€”"

Oh, the absolute futility of trying to get through to these lesser... Sshizna rubbed at her temple, then snapped her β€” somewhat desperate β€” gaze towards Rory, only to find she, too, had been caught up in the goblinoid wrangle. She seemed to know the goblin, Jub.

A goblin would be called Jub.

The bugbear introduced himself as Voth, and it appeared they were now stuck with him, too. Could they not find a wizard instead?! Someone of even moderate intelligence?

As questions and answers begun to fly back and forth, with Clapperclaw proposing to take them to some cave, Sshizna inhaled, exhaled, then finally snapped: "FASSSCINATING." to no one and everyone at once. "Now. Before your jolly reunion getsss any more out of hand, doesss any. Of. You. Ssspeak Elvisssh?!"

She pronounced each word slowly and carefully as if doubting half her audience could comprehend her otherwise, then pointed at the poster. By the gods, she was tired. Perhaps a hundred or so years of isolation had not been such a bad fate after all, considering.
