Current I think watching fight scenes can help in general terms with writing combat, since it can give you an idea of flow and choreography.

At least if you're writing something you know, with knights.

I mean, depends on what you're writing, and the tone and theme of what you're writing. Trained armored knights were legitimately monstrous on the battlefield, so looking up how they fought helps.

As much as there's a lot of reasons twitter sucks, I genuinely don't want to see it die for the sake of all the artists who now rely on it. Hoping the shithead stops trying to directly administrate.

roleplayerguild.com/posts/5… If anyone's up for fighting some kaiju, why not try out my new RP, Godzilla: YATAGARUSU?

Hmm, right.
You'd have to ask other players about that, honestly. I just feel like it's a bit weird to have a homunculus that old for this RP. ^^; Also you don't mention how he got into the ritual.

I said resistance and control worked.
@Raijinslayer: I just realized he's also albino. Probably should change that since Shi came first and she's albino and they're both homunculi. ^^;

I don't think he needs to be so old anymore, as well, since he's no longer Jack the Ripper.

Also if he was built to be a physical fighter, he probably wouldn't have magic at all, or very low amounts intended to boost his combat skills, like Shi. Also I don't think he needs magic as a character since he's got that magic trait(which could have been put into him just by his creation).

Also you need to list the spells he has in his knife, at least enough to know what they can do.
Um, well, obviously support my own ideas... Supporting Dark Elves, Humans, Ky-Ree, Mammoths... Orcs Need Improvement, not sure about Chupacabras, don't really get Origins(leaning to no) or Soul Contract... Scrap the Grey Orcs. ^^;

Also not really sure where the impression that Dark Elves were tribal came from since they're seeming kind of like... Heavily Elfy Nordic-ish?
So aiming to start this tomorrow! Hopefully at least.
I really can't think of there being any way for the items to work aside from the sword. The sword wouldn't be stealing anything though, they'd have built-in spells they can cast with a single action. As for the homunculus thing, wanting a really good bodyguard is a good reason. As for spirits and souls... Well, spirits are different from souls since they're not just life energy. The only thing I can think of that's like that is outright possession.
Um, think they should maybe be a bit more unified, at least enough that they're more willing to fund a standing military. If all they really have is a calvary then they miss out completely on some of the cool stuff we talked about before.
Homunculi

Homunculi are artificial humans, created via the union of raw materials and the soul. The raw materials involved in the creation of a homunculus must equal, in some way, the sum total of the materials involved in the creation of a human body. As the soul is life, it is required for one to be placed in a homunculus in order for that homunculus to be capable of living. Improperly doing so will lead to a lifeless husk, or a homunculus with an incredibly limited lifespan. Due to their nature, homunculi are incapable of dying from old age, and instead will simply cease to age entirely at some point in their lives. This point can be determined by the creator or left entirely to chance.

The greatest appeal in the creation of a homunculus is the fact that they can be engineered to any specifications. They are a human who can have any skills or traits that the creator desires. A homunculus can have instinctive knowledge of any subject the creator "programs" into them, to the point where it comes to them as naturally as breathing.
@Raijinslayer: Okay, um... I know I keep rejecting your characters but they're... not really fitting very well.

To begin with, that's not how alchemy works. As explained in the OP, alchemy is a process used by bloodlines with low magical potential that involves the manual transmutation of matter using basic spellcraft as well as the usage of mana to create high-powered alchemical devices. It's basically just a more acceptable way to compensate for being a "deficient" mage then relying entirely on theurgy(normally used in rituals). It's not Full Metal Alchemist style, you can't alter the terrain and create weapons on the fly with it.

Magic traits can be placed in homunculi, it's just more difficult, so it wouldn't really make him unique among them. ^^;

Aside from the armor once again really not fitting urban fantasy very well(Though I mean, I guess if you were going for something Fate/ style but that doesn't really fit for someone meant to be Jack the Ripper. Fate/ Jack the Ripper's outfit makes more sense even if it's weird and wouldn't fit here), being "infused with the soul of a demon" does all of nothing really. Souls are generic life energy, only unique in conjunction with the consciousness. Putting a soul into armor would really not do anything and there'd be nothing to keep it there. The same goes for the knives, magi souls are only unique in conjunction with everything else.

Now for backstory... proving you can is not a good reason to try and make a homunculus since it's resource intensive. Usually very worth it, but they're made for a reason. Improperly placing the soul into a homunculus would not result in insanity, it would result in a flawed homunculus with a very short lifespan or... nothing happening at all. And I'll be honest, I'd really rather not people take historical figures for this RP? They're not very relevant for one thing, and also since it's an original setting I might want to do something with them. Especially since that part seems kind of tacked on at the end. ^^;
It's fine, I'm here anyway, it's my RP. ^^;
