Current I think watching fight scenes can help in general terms with writing combat, since it can give you an idea of flow and choreography.

At least if you're writing something you know, with knights.

I mean, depends on what you're writing, and the tone and theme of what you're writing. Trained armored knights were legitimately monstrous on the battlefield, so looking up how they fought helps.

As much as there's a lot of reasons twitter sucks, I genuinely don't want to see it die for the sake of all the artists who now rely on it. Hoping the shithead stops trying to directly administrate.

roleplayerguild.com/posts/5… If anyone's up for fighting some kaiju, why not try out my new RP, Godzilla: YATAGARUSU?

I'll be posting, at latest, on Saturday.
Irial eyed the bird-winged woman.

"What? It's not as if it isn't true," she said, simply, pocketing the gem for the moment. "Do you have any idea what to do with it? I don't think so."

The young high elf folded her arms, draping her staff down to the left as she did. Really now, what was the point of protesting when she'd only spoken the truth? Who else here had the capabilities to use a fire gem? No-one, as far as she knew. No, Irial was doing the others a service by taking it for herself. She could, after all, now utilize it to keep fires lit, and defend the camp. No-one else could do more then look at the pretty colors.

"It's a magic gem, fire specifically," the small blonde continued, "There's nothing else anyone here can do with it. Aside from, I don't know, make jewelry, but what a waste that would be. Only someone who has the capabilities of a mage can make use of it, and I'm the only one here who even has knowledge of spells. It's not idle arrogance when it's the truth."

And that was that. The elf girl looked back over her shoulder, eyes scanning the wreck once again. Things... didn't look promising when it came to finding anything else. Rather, it was exactly the same kind of mess she thought it would be. At least some of the others had located food, but why sake would be at all important here was beyond her. Alcohol was not exactly her favorite thing to drink. It made people slow, and stupid. Irial wanted nothing to do with that.
Aaaaah I tried posting but just ran headlong into a brick wall. -headdesk
You can't burnout of magic. You can pass out, or in extreme cases kill yourself, but that's the similar to how you'd do with, say, death from physical overexertion.

You have to go pretty far beyond your limits to die.
People who aren't otherwise occupied need to post, I mean. ^^;
@Rawnoid: Take a look at the OP for the bio format, fill it out(try to make sure everything covers everything you have in mind of the character), and post it. I'll take a look, and if it needs editing I'll say so. If not, I'll accept it, you move it to the characters tab, and you can get posting.

And please, ask any questions you want.

... And as a note to everyone we need more IC posting. ^^;
@Rawnoid: There's definitely room.
Next "mission" is going to be more social and character interaction. And... not so much a mission.

... To start with.

I hope everyone has dress robes/fancy armor ready.
@Raineh Daze: Pfft wait what.
Relatively soon, after we wrap this stuff up, we'll probably be meeting Thaln's Princess.

To give people a idea of what the next bit of plot may be like.
