Current I think watching fight scenes can help in general terms with writing combat, since it can give you an idea of flow and choreography.

At least if you're writing something you know, with knights.

I mean, depends on what you're writing, and the tone and theme of what you're writing. Trained armored knights were legitimately monstrous on the battlefield, so looking up how they fought helps.

As much as there's a lot of reasons twitter sucks, I genuinely don't want to see it die for the sake of all the artists who now rely on it. Hoping the shithead stops trying to directly administrate.

roleplayerguild.com/posts/5… If anyone's up for fighting some kaiju, why not try out my new RP, Godzilla: YATAGARUSU?

He could easily get involved in one of the cases?
So only one NPC got introduced, but there may be more coming next post. We'll see.
"... You're... Dame... Dame Tyaethe...?"

Fanilly's attention was diverted between the princess, and the little girl. After all, there was only one place that she'd seen a sword like that. But it seemed impossible to reconcile the rather cute little girl with the imposing armored figure that cut a swath through the battlefield by herself. Was this really Tyaethe...? The beginning of this party was just too weird, Fanilly couldn't really believe it. But... she had to relax and calm herself down.

"... I... I see..." she said, dully. Fanilly had to just... focus on the party. Right. When Marianne told her she had to speak to Sir Garret, she nodded. Very well. At the moment, what she had in mind was to approach the Princess, and speak to her. After all, she'd even been specifically told to come in at least partial armor. As she started towards her, however, she heard Martina's comment.

Fanilly's cheeks went scarlet.

"D-D-Dame Martina!" she cried, "Y-you can't just say such things! That's... that's not appropriate at all!"

It was clear several of the nearby nobles had heard, staring in surprise.

The Princess smiled as the first of the knights approached, curtsying once more.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, Sir Gillian," she said, brightly. "I'm so glad you're enjoying yourselves. I'll admit, I expected the Captain to approach first, however... though it seems like she must be a little busy. I think I saw her speaking to the half-dwarven knight?"

Eliabelle peered through the crowds, attempting to pick up the Knight-Captain in her vision as she did. "As long as I get to speak to her tonight, I'll be happy."

After a moment's pause, she continued.

"I heard you defeated that band of criminals that had been raiding towns," she spoke, lightly tilting her head to the side, "You have my deepest gratitude. It was awful knowing that the citizens of Thaln were in danger, and I'm glad that father listened when I asked for you to be sent after them."

"Ah... so you saw the mountains, Sir Ian? Did you see the dwarven city?" asked Mariegolde, her eyes shining with excitement. The dwarven city in Velt was well-known even further south. It was hard not to find such architecture intriguing, even if you'd only heard of it before.

"Did you taste the food? What was the food like?" asked Angenese, practically bouncing up and down in her seat.

Violette looked away in disinterest.

"Why would the food ever be any better then it is here?" she commented, looking out into the crowd with a sigh.

Tiral would here shuffling footsteps as someone approached him.

She was a brunette, in a brown dress, who looked as if she was about to explode from social contact at any moment. Before speaking, she took a deep breath.

"S... S-Sir Tiral, correct?" she asked, stuttering out her query, "I am C-Court Mage Bethany Ravenwood, it's a pleasure to m-meet you."

The mage girl's hands wavered as she raised her skirt lightly, curtsying.

"I-I... I am..."

The girl took another nervous gulp of air.

"I-I'm curious a-about how you have used m-magic in your duty to the Iron R-Roses."
She turned out really good!
The missing cat thing might be a lot more complicated then it sounds, by the way.
Hugging Satan would be a preeeetty bad idea.
Of course Yuina was still hungry. Well, at least someone had indulged her without anyone having to get too distracted about that. Or by those wiggling hips. Yuina wiggled them an awful lot, really... Quickly looking away, Makiko waved her hand towards the tengu who was rapidly apologizing.

"You didn't interrupt anything. I'd just have preferred if you got here earlier," she said, simply. Today, it wasn't just a simple meeting they were holding, after all. The ankou, for all his excuses, was at least apologetic and quick to focus on the matters at hand. Though... someone had died? That was unfortunate to hear... Makiko sighed.

Before she could move on, however, the oni, Shina, had proceeded inside. She was late too. But she'd brought someone along with her? And then he explained himself as a boy from the outside world.

Someone from beyond the barrier. Someone who'd come through accidentally. Wasn't... was't that impossible? Of course, Makiko knew that most youkai could come and go, and humans with supernatural abilities could enter and exit the barrier, but to accidentally pass through it... That was impossible. It was something you did intentionally. It had to be something you did intentionally. You couldn't just walk through it.

"You... say it was an accident?" Makiko asked, taken aback at the news. "I've... I've never seen someone accidentally come from beyond the barrier before. At least, not a human."

After all, youkai could come and go as they please.

Makiko wasn't sure how to handle this. But they were the Miura Youth Organization. They were supposed to handle these sorts of things. It was exactly what she'd formed them to do! But she'd never seen a human just pass through the barrier by total accident before.

"... We'll talk in a moment," she said, finally, addressing both the boy and Shina. She still had to introduce what they'd be doing. Makiko turned to address the Youth Organization as a whole.

"Normally I'd give us some time to talk, but since everyone was late, we'll be jumping right to business," she continued. "Firstly, there's a haunting in the Amakura Apartment building. The police aren't involved yet, but as always it's alright for us to see if we can do something about it. Residents have said they've seen something watching them as they've used the elevator, and one woman reported the sheets in her bed forming a human shape. She refused to get in it afterwards."

Makiko stretched.

"The one consistent thing everyone mentions is that whatever it is has long, black hair. So I'm guessing it's an onryo," she stated, plainly. Onryo were vengeful female ghosts, and nearly always highly dangerous. The only exceptions to this were the few cases where onryo totally forgot why they had a grudge in the first place. But that rarely ever happened. "If it is, we'll have to be careful, but something like that is always less dangerous towards anyone who's prepared for it."

Next, Makiko picked up a sheet of paper and displayed it to the others. On it, there was a black cat with white-tipped ears, with a phone number and name beneath it.

"Hasegawa Mii, a ten-year-old girl at this address, has lost her cat, Himiko. She says she thinks someone might have stolen her," Makiko explained. "We're going to split up and deal with each of these problems."

Once things had gotten organized, Makiko was going to deal with the sudden appearance of an outsider.
@Natsu: Also, the Seven Princes of Hell are very unlikely to show up on account for how powerful they all are.

Leviathan can produce a void from the palm of her hand that will devour anything that enters it and destroy it, because envy is destructive and will take everything.

Belphegor can stop time.

Lucifer can stream ether out of her body. Ether, for perspective, is what stars are made out of. Also dragons.

Satan bursts into flames based on how angry she is. She's strong enough to tear a skyscraper out of the ground and throw it.

That's just a few of them.
So, right now, it definitely seems like onryo time is the frontrunner in terms of which arcs to do, followed, still, by "find this pet".

I'm posting today.

@demonspade64: Okay, um.... Firstly, his name means either "Japanese wolf" or "title for a god" which I think is a bit weird. ^^;

For a water-based healing ability, that'd have to be a Magic Trait, and he'd need to use spells for the other stuff.

Also... the local Magic Circle would likely focus on resetting people's memories to erase the incident from their minds rather then shipping someone off to a place that is absolutely not somewhere to shove people they don't want around.

The Imaginary District is not meant for that.
Welp, next post will have a lot of NPCs to introduce. Or at least a few, really.
