Current I think watching fight scenes can help in general terms with writing combat, since it can give you an idea of flow and choreography.

At least if you're writing something you know, with knights.

I mean, depends on what you're writing, and the tone and theme of what you're writing. Trained armored knights were legitimately monstrous on the battlefield, so looking up how they fought helps.

As much as there's a lot of reasons twitter sucks, I genuinely don't want to see it die for the sake of all the artists who now rely on it. Hoping the shithead stops trying to directly administrate.

@Raineh Daze: I misread that as mooks with kicks, and I was confused.

Even though I have seen Hellsing.
Depends on how the setting works its vampires!

Like in this setting there are levels of vampire... ness.
@Jedly: In order to be walking around and moving he does need to have... something but probably not what in-setting is considered a soul.
Makiko winced slightly, raising one hand as the wind whipped around them from Aamuu's demonstration. Was that really necessary? It wasn't exactly going to be useful when it came to exorcising a malevolent spirit! At least, not when you did it from the outside. At least it didn't last forever.

"Cutting the apartment in half definitely isn't an option," she said, swiftly, before her attention turned to the goat demon. Sho's question wasn't... terrible but it wouldn't take a genius to figure out why it wouldn't work. This was an entire apartment building, setting up an exorcism to get the entire building would be difficult. Besides, the existence of benevolent household spirits could be threatened by such a huge exorcism if it wasn't made specific enough.

"I don't think it's practical to try something like that from the outside, some harmless spirits could be caught up in it and we'd still have to set up the spell to clear the entire apartment," she explained. Finally... those clinging, trembling hands. Makiko sighed. Yuina was really shaken up about this... she'd seen that face in the window, hadn't she?

"Yuina-san," the black-haired girl began, hesitating for only a moment. If it took this to persuade her friend, then, well... "... Unlimited. You'll get unlimited yakitori. As much as I can afford, at least. Alright? Now, let's go."

With that, Makiko headed inside.

The apartment was fairly... average within. There was an elevator up, stairs as well, a rather basic but still somewhat homey lobby... though it was notable that there was no-one at the desk. Many of the residents, and employees, were finding themselves unable to remain in the apartment until the problem was taken care of.

And indeed, Makiko could feel it. There was an atmosphere in here. The air felt rather... cold. Still. There was definitely some sort of presence here, and certainly an onryo could explain it.

Without missing a beat, the girl approached the stairs and began heading up.

"We'll find her as quickly as we can," she said, "She'll probably be drawn to us. All these living people walking around isn't going to escape the notice of a vengeful spirit."

As she turned to face forward again, she saw her. For a split second. At the top of the stairs, a deathly pale face, long, stringy black hair, white clothing... and then she was gone. Almost immediately, Makiko placed a hand on the hilt of her sword and sprinted the rest of the way up the stairs, coming to the next floor.

"Come on!"
@HowlsOfWinter: Okay, um... firstly, when a demon has nonhuman features they can't just retract them. They can hide them with illusions(if they know how to or have an item to do it) or with clothing, but you can't just retract them away. Also demons are never human(except for the very first ones). They might not immediately appear demonic when born, but that's only because reality takes a bit to catch up with there being a new demon. That's why they also don't immediately stop aging.

One of her parents would also have to be a demon.

There's not really any "Divine Executors", mostly because there's already the Exorcist Corps and then the High Executors within the Exorcist Corps. They all wield blessed weapons of varying kinds, some of the High Executors even using replica Saint's Tools and conceptual weapons.

Also, any injury delivered to a demon will heal until there is nothing left, unless that demon is actually killed. This is because demonic healing reverses time, so scar tissue wouldn't form. There's two exceptions to this in the entire setting, and neither are divine weapons. Divine weapons can kill demons, but if they survive, no permanent injury.
And wow I just realized I left an extremely important detail out of that last post. Edited. ^^;
I will say @Raineh Daze wants to react to the attack first but had to sleep, so keep that in mind for now. ^^;

He was actually going to be female, but I couldn't find a picture that i liked and didn't want to take forever doing it... and guys I can never find pictures for anyway so I figured I'd just make him male.
As the knights in Marianne's group(and the assassin) proceeded downward, they would come across shattered stone, and scorched walls. There had obviously been a battle here... and that fact became even more obvious when the site of a dead man came into view. His neck was snapped at an odd angle, his corpse laying near the center of the room. He was, likely, one of the conspirators. Tili eyed his corpse dispassionately. Another one of the conspirators who had taken her sister hostage lay dead, now. But it wouldn't be enough until her sister was safe and all the rest had suffered the same fate.

However, there wasn't much time to focus on the corpse, when there was a thunderclap from below.

Tyaethe reached the bottom chamber in short order. Within, there was a man, clad in a porcelain mask with no features save for the eyeholes, one marked with a black tear and some stylized designs, and clad in a body-concealing cloak. He tilted his head to the side as he watched the girl's approach. Around him stood several animated skeletons, some of which were clad in old, but still functional, armor. Behind him there lay a small, pale figure, identical to Tili, with her mouth gagged, her legs bound together, and her arms bound behind her back. Her red eyes widened as she saw someone enter.

"Zalo, take care of her," said the masked necromancer, with a wave of one armored hand.

Something landed behind Tyaethe almost immediately. It was a young man with white hair and wild, almost orange eyes, a grin on his face. He wore a jacket and gauntlets... and lightning crackled around his right hand, a blue magic circle forming in his open palm.

"Hey," he said, grinning, as a bolt of lightning tore from his hand.
