Current I think watching fight scenes can help in general terms with writing combat, since it can give you an idea of flow and choreography.

At least if you're writing something you know, with knights.

I mean, depends on what you're writing, and the tone and theme of what you're writing. Trained armored knights were legitimately monstrous on the battlefield, so looking up how they fought helps.

As much as there's a lot of reasons twitter sucks, I genuinely don't want to see it die for the sake of all the artists who now rely on it. Hoping the shithead stops trying to directly administrate.

roleplayerguild.com/posts/5… If anyone's up for fighting some kaiju, why not try out my new RP, Godzilla: YATAGARUSU?

As they went on, Toshiko saw even more maids rushing about to clean or simply look things over. How did the Daidouji family afford to pay so many of them?

"Tomoko-sama is through this door," said the trembling maid, one hand on the golden handle of a red door. She turned it... and within, there was a woman. She sat on a red velvet armchair facing the door, in a room with a great deal of bookshelves about. It was easy enough to guess that this was a library. Tomoko appeared to be about five years older then Toshiko, wearing a fine blue dress. Her hair was long and black, her eyes green, and her features slight and fair.

The book she was reading was black, with no apparent cover. Tomoko looked up from her book when she heard them entering.

"Th-the detectives, Tomoko-sama..." said the still-shaking maid.

"Ah, hello, Ando-san," said Tomoko, her voice pleasant, "You can go, now, Inokuma-san."

The shy maid, apparently Inokuma, hurried off. Tomoko's focus returned to Toshiko and the others. "So... is this your apprentice, Ando-san?"

Toshiko nodded. "This is Miura Ryuuko. We're going to need to ask you some questions before we can proceed with the investigation."

"Ask away," replied Tomoko with a sigh, "I'll tell you everything I can, though I still can't begin to understand what happened. Still, that's no reason to behave poorly."

While the woman's voice was pleasant, Toshiko could tell she was struggling to keep up her collected facade. Her hands were shaking ever so slightly. She clearly didn't want to show how panicked she was when attempting to explain what was going on.
Like I said, it's ultimately your choice, however I feel about the reasoning behind it.

I hope you can have fun elsewhere.
I wanted to avoid stating this publicly, but it seems like we need some clarity.

Due to the contents of the PMs, which I will not disclose publicly, @pugbutter has been politely asked to leave.

I do not want to foster any ill will, but it's clear that things were not working out.

@Mercenary5, @Fyre Unholy, if you wish to remain in the RP I will do whatever I can to ensure that you can. If you wish to quit because of this, I understand and that's perfectly fine.
Toshiko took the key quickly and stepped out of the car, pausing a moment to wait for Ryuuko before leading her onward.

Toshiko walked ahead of the yakuza princess, beckoning her to follow, as she headed towards the doorway. Yes, the Daidouji family did have quite a bit of money... and Toshiko didn't have much at the moment(She'd blown all her spending money. She couldn't help it, that Egyptian Orb seemed so interesting...). When she made it to the door, she quickly knocked.

For several moments, there was silence, until finally the door opened.

Standing in the doorway was a very short maid. She was blue-eyed, and with long, brown hair. It would be quite easy to describe her as cute, really, and looked somewhat like she might have a nervous breakdown at any second. At least judging from all the shaking.

"O-oh, are you the detectives Daidouji-sama hired?" she asked, her tremors slowing.

"That would be us," replied Toshiko, smiling at the maid. Why was she so nervous and shaky? Was it just what she was like, or was there something more to it? That might need to be looked into... "I'm Ando Toshiko, and this is my employee, Miura Ryuuko. Is Daidouji-san here?"

The maid shook her head, shaking slightly as she did. "Daidouji-sama had to leave on urgent b-business... Daidouji Tomoko-sama and Ojou-sama are here, though. I'll take you to Tomoko-sama."

The maid turned on her heel and began to head inside, shaking as she did. Toshiko frowned, slightly. Why was she so nervous? Whatever the case, she began to head inside. There wasn't really any time for dawdling, not when there was a case to solve. It was time to scope out the mansion's interior.

The inside of the mansion was quite sizable. The entry hall alone was a vast room, with staircases heading to the second level of the mansion flanking a long, red carpet. That wasn't the only feature, however. Everywhere within the mansion, there were maids. There were five in the entry hall alone, not counting the girl leading them. Sweeping on the stairs, dusting... Certainly, the sheer amount of maids was notable. Did this mansion really need so many? Not that Toshiko was complaining...
I have to be honest, I'm very eager to reach the next arc.
In any case, let's move past this now.
@pugbutter: I still feel you haven't paid much attention to the setting lore. I'd at the very least like if you asked me about the lore if there's things you don't quite get.

In addition, I don't think someone wanting their character recognized when it made sense was anything too terrible. I think it was just a desire to get more interaction going.

I cant't help but notice you're still ignoring some posts and the objection to those posts being ignored.
The surgeon was accepted in the thought that it was understood that battlefield first aid is still something useful.

The majority of healers are magical, and whenever you need something intensive you go to them since they can mend injuries with magic. But having a wound already sewn together can help keep it in place to heal with magic.

An infirmary is needed for recovery regardless, though, since even healed injuries can leave someone having lost blood and all that.
@pugbutter: Actually, I feel like I need to bring something up here.

You seem to not pay much attention to the setting's lore, and you also seem to be trying very hard not to interact with other characters aside from Gutta's charge and the viking surgeon.

I have to be honest, I'm legitimately curious as to why you joined an RP with an established setting and many other characters. Wouldn't it be easier to simply start your own and RP with your friends like that?
@AtomicNut: 1. Genders are considered fully equal, as it makes no sense really for there to be any other belief due to their worship of paired lesbian goddesses. As I have tried to make clear, there's no real differences in opportunities between the sexes(aside from religious positions requiring a specific gender). One of the few examples of this is the traditional appointment of a maiden born on a full moon to the position of Captain of the Iron Roses, in remembrance of Saint Elionne.

Fanilly's intended to be doubted for her age and inexperience, not for her gender, to put it simply.

Other cultures may have slightly different views, but in terms of this country and those surrounding it, it really doesn't make much sense considering the history of the setting for there to be gender discrimination either way.

2. High Fantasy, for sure. While I take inspiration from real-world countries I'm definitely not trying to replicate real life, what with the dwarves and elves and orcs and monsters and magic and all.

@pugbutter: Only the deities mentioned are female. As for NPCs, I'll be honest and say it's because I have trouble finding good images for male NPCs(since I like sticking to an anime style given the ideas behind the RP), and I also struggle with drawing guys. I'm sorry you seem to think there's an 'agenda' of some sort, but there's not. If someone's willing to help me find images for male NPCs I'll gladly take their assistance.
