Current I think watching fight scenes can help in general terms with writing combat, since it can give you an idea of flow and choreography.

At least if you're writing something you know, with knights.

I mean, depends on what you're writing, and the tone and theme of what you're writing. Trained armored knights were legitimately monstrous on the battlefield, so looking up how they fought helps.

As much as there's a lot of reasons twitter sucks, I genuinely don't want to see it die for the sake of all the artists who now rely on it. Hoping the shithead stops trying to directly administrate.

roleplayerguild.com/posts/5… If anyone's up for fighting some kaiju, why not try out my new RP, Godzilla: YATAGARUSU?

Honami Aoi

Even with her abilities as a satori dulled in order to prevent her from being overwhelmed, Aoi could feel the cheer and good spirits circulating across the festival grounds. So many people were having fun! ... And, of course, she could perhaps attempt to detect the mochi this way. Sakura mochi, especially, was quite a favorite for the diminutive youkai girl. Though to be truthful, all Japanese snack foods fell into the area of Aoi's approval! While the President's area was meals, and Yuina's area was 'anything both edible and with a pleasant taste', Aoi's specialty was snacks.

Her 'ears' twitched, as she detected someone having seen her, and soon enough a voice called out to her. It was a familiar one, the voice of Himura Hiraku.

"Oh, hi, Hiraku-san!" Aoi returned his greeting cheerily, extending one hand towards the heavens to give the boy an enthusiastic wave. "Yep, it's all done! No more paperwork for me!"

The bright smile on the satori's face rather easily betrayed how glad she was to be done with that, even if she rarely complained about it. Aoi also quickly took in all the prizes and food that Hiraku was carrying, particularly lingering on that teddy bear for a few noticeable moments.

It was really cute.

"I'm looking for the mochi right now!"

Oh hey you figured out one of the inspirations for this RP.

I can be honest and state that the similarities in the characters was an accident, I drew them up, then looked at the characters from Yozakura Quartet again and was like "Well how did I not notice that" but liked them too much not to use them anyway.
@Lightning: The Imaginary District is only known to the supernatural community, so you wouldn't really get transferred there like that.

It doesn't make much sense. ^^;

Alright.
I have to be honest and say the name doesn't make a lot of sense unless she's an out-of-towner originally(well, going by that backstory adopted by them), but kitsune are all Japanese.

As for backstory, her having been a feral child doesn't really makes sense if she was just in the middle of the Imaginary District(and admittedly I'm not sure how well "feral child" and "kitsune" mesh).

That being said it's easy enough for her to have been an orphaned child or something who got taken in by a new family.

I'll also say though that I think too many people are going for swords. ^^; Maybe give her a naginata or something?
@ERode: And he's accepted.
They're fox-eared people who can shapeshift and produce foxfire and illusions, and who grow more powerful the more tails they have, pretty standard. ^^;
@Lightning: You definitely can, and this RP is definitely still open.
@ERode: Oh right, he's accepted with the dragon edits.
@ERode: Sort of! They're reality's super weird defense system. And... definitely not stronger then your big-name deities but possibly stronger then some minor ones for sure.
@ERode: Well, the idea is that all dragons actually stem from the ones from space. Many look like western dragons, some look humanoid, some look like Asian dragons, others look like incredibly bizarre.

They've come to earth multiple times, one time being when Saint George slew one. They only show up when something has gone very wrong(well, aside from a few rare cases), but most people aren't aware of that.

In any case, spirits and deities taking the form of dragons works perfectly fine for purposes like this.

Here's the specific post about true dragons.
