Current I think watching fight scenes can help in general terms with writing combat, since it can give you an idea of flow and choreography.

At least if you're writing something you know, with knights.

I mean, depends on what you're writing, and the tone and theme of what you're writing. Trained armored knights were legitimately monstrous on the battlefield, so looking up how they fought helps.

As much as there's a lot of reasons twitter sucks, I genuinely don't want to see it die for the sake of all the artists who now rely on it. Hoping the shithead stops trying to directly administrate.

Edit: When there's a new Lancelot post I'll post for his Master too.
I'll get an Aoi post up today or tomorrow.
Cutting the wall didn't appear to do anything of note. Instead, directly ahead of Ryuuko, a series of explosions erupted outward across the stairs, forming a fiery barrier of sound and force right in the path of the kimono-clad girl. Kitty had taken a step back further up the stairs, folding her arms firmly across her chest.

"You're a complete idiot, thinking you can just rush me like that!" Kitty declared, a hint of pride entering the small girl's voice, "As long as I can touch the walls and floor, there's no way you'll make it to me!"

Bunny's fist tore towards Toshiko once more. The mage could feel the air pressure, the blast rushing past her as she just barely managed to dodge. As it stood, this type of combat put her at something of a disadvantage. Quite simply, she needed to slow the onmyouji down in order to be able to generate distance better. It seemed as if ofuda attached to the bottom of her shoes were what was making her difficult to counter, making her so fast she was hard to do anything to defend against her...

Toshiko packpedaled dragging one foot back along the floor as she adjusted her position and swung it back, and Bunny swifly lowered herself, ready to put on another air blast for speed. And just as she began to move...!

"Ignite!" Toshiko cried. A simple fire spell never the less ignited along the same path as she moved her body, as Bunny moved forward. The onmyouji attempted to stop herself, but the air blast carried her forward... and the ofuda on one of her feet ignited.

"Ah?!"

She stomped her foot frantically, now through the fire, but it was too late. One of her ofuda had burned into an unusuable state.
Akane had wandered somewhat aimlessly for a while. She didn't have any specific goals in mind aside from 'hope I meet the girls from last night', and so her attempts to find anything were rather useless at best. And her fairy had chimed in a few times, asking just what she was doing wandering about like this. Akane had hushed her as to avoid too many people wondering why her bag was talking and found herself more or less unable to answer particularly directly. So instead she simply claimed she was just shopping. After all that wasn't... entirely inaccurate! She was shopping, just with no particular goal in mind and a lack of actually entering shops to peruse their wares!

After a few moments of this, Akane decided to check her phone. Maybe there'd be something on there that could help her meet up with one of the magical girls from last night...

Kuroe the Writer was saying she did a good job?! A flush entered the redhead's cheeks and her heart beat faster in her chest. For a moment, memories of Saori's words had been pushed from her mind just by the fact that one of her fellow magical girls had actually posted a message saying she did a good job, to keep it up. It was like a dream come true! It was like-

It was like walking directly into someone without even realizing they were there and collapsing onto your backside.

After a few moments, Akane realized what she had done(and hoped no-one had hear the fairy in her bag go 'uwah!')

"A-ah, s-sorry! Sorry!" she apologized hastily as she tried to get up quickly, so she could help if they'd dropped anything.
In a way, knowing that the only other person who had undergone this process had died prior to it made it worse. Akira had not died. Akira had been going about his day quite normally, and now she was a little elf girl. With no dying anywhere in there, she couldn't fathom why she had also been completely changed. However, the other matter that caught her attention was the fact that multiple people just wandered off to the damn tavern.

The amount of 'unimpressed' in Akira's expression was quite frankly unprecedented, as her right eye twitched slightly.

"... Do we have a bunch of drunks here?" she asked aloud, flatly. In fairness, she didn't exactly ignore how gathering information was useful, but how the hell was it useful when no-one had any useful supplies yet? The guild would be more useful then going to the tavern! ... At least some people had gone to more useful locations, which-

Wait. Wait wait wait. That voice... that face...

Aaron. Aaron was here and he was totally unchanged in any way. The tiny elf girl marched straight for the doorway of the guild building, and... well, that guy exited the building moments after. For now, Akira had totally forgotten her plans to attempt to purchase supplies in favor of taking out her frustration on someone she actually knew.

"Aaron-kun, I'm going to strangle you in your sleep."

Well, that wasn't a very cute comment coming out of a very cute, tiny girl, to say the least. One could almost see the angry fire burning behind her even though it was entirely a metaphor.
Aoyama Makiko

Makiko watched Suzuka ascend into the air, then heard her cell phone's message tone(Missile Aya's newest single, it was the opening for a new anime too!) With her free hand, she dug her phone out of her bag.

Huh, that was lucky! One of the little girl's parents had run right into Ren-san, so they wouldn't have to keep searching for her all over the place! Smiling, she swiftly texted the kitsune back.

I have Sayuri-chan right here! We'll go to the lost child station!

"Sayuri-chan," she began, "We've already found your parents! We'll meet up with them at the Lost Child Station, okay?"

Sayuri's eyes seemed to shine for a moment.

"R-really...? You found them so fast?" she asked, trembling, "Th-thank you, onee-chan!"

Makiko smiled at the little girl as she put her phone away and patted her on the head once more, before looking upwards towards the tenin.

"Oii, Suzuka-san!" she called to the youkai, waving her hand in the air. "Ren-san found her father, let's take her to the Lost Child Station!"

Up in the air, however... Suzuka might notice a strange thrumming noise from behind her. However, if she were to look, there would be nothing visible, and the sound would be long gone.

I'll be posting tonight or tomorrow most likely!
Alright, I'll try and post tonight.
I think I should go ahead and post again?
"Hmph," the twintailed girl let out a huff, "It's only when people like you try to interfere. Why are you even here?"

She didn't take a step as Ryuuko suddenly rushed forward, seemingly not intending to do anything herself at all. At least, until a yellow-red light suddenly blazed to life on the wall just ahead of the mage's apprentice. In less then a second's time, it erupted outward with a blast of noise and heat, a small explosion ripping its way right into Ryuuko's path!

The rush of air hit Toshiko before the blow did, and that was the only thing that let her draw another shield rune to deflect it. Down three already?! The sheer force of the blow sent her skidding backwards once more, towards the exit.

"No wonder you took out a trained assassin so easily," Toshiko commented, tossing aside the burning rune as it dissipated into ashes. "Air synergizes well with hand to hand combat."

"Flattery's not going to get you anywhere," replied the onmyouji, squaring herself up for another attack, "You're working for the victims of the theft, that's easy enough to assume. So I won't let you get any further."

Suddenly Bunny rocketed towards her once more. This time, however, Toshiko was a little quicker on the draw, dodging. The air rushed past her as Bunny's fist smashed through plaster and concrete, debris scattering into the air from the impact. It was clear she was using ofuda on her body to boost her physical abilities, to say the least. And as Toshiko moved behind her, even as Bunny swiftly began to turn...

Ofuda on her shoes as well?
