Well the idea wasn't that nobody else would have submarines, it's just that I'd have the most/best submarines. But like I was asking, what are your thoughts on that? Would it be too much for me to have a big population, the most land, and a bunch of submarines to boot?

Well, it's fine if you don't industrialize too fast. Plus most of your land is desert. But if you'd like to balance it, you can have fossil fuels adroit only mineralogical resource and that's not really bad.

Weighing both options to see which would make more sense, as well as be more feasible. On one hand, I could go the route of a material found exclusively in the mountains of the Eisenkreis region. On the other, I could highlight their industry and technological prowess, and make it an alloy akin to High-Speed Steel, except not quite. Still pooling ideas and seeing what I like more and what would make the most sense.
