Sitting inside of a vehicle such as the Theseus Command Mantis during a tactile insertion was always an intense experience, and one that Aviza had begun to enjoy over the last decade or so. This time around though, was slightly different due to the fact that they were being dropped from Phantoms instead of Pelicans. Still, Aviza had strapped herself in a bit more securely just in case the ride would be more turbulent or something else went wrong along the way. "All safety procedures passed, all systems are green, now we get to wait for the fun to begin." said Aziva as she leaned forward slightly and flipped a switch on the control panel in front of her. A gentle electronic hum followed before the interior screens came to life, giving the Spartan a clear view of everything out-front of her as if the reinforced platting on the outside of the vehicle was made out of glass.

A few moments would pass in relative silence within the Theseus Command Mantis before Aviza not only felt the Phantom touch off but also saw the rapid deployment with her own eyes. The steep approach and high speed they were taking with the Phantoms brought a smile across the Spartans face as they approached their drop off point. With the sudden feeling of freefalling that only lasted what felt like a few seconds, the Mantis gracefully made contact with solid ground. "Over already? I was just starting to enjoy myself, makes me want to fly again." thought Aviza, though Shihi quickly responded, "I am sure you will get more chances to experience that again, or perhaps even fly something in the near future. For now though, you should focus on the objectives at hand." Using the connection from the Theseus Command Mantis to her armor, Aviza quickly turned her attention to one of the fortified positions and fired off a round from the Theseus Command Mantis's M149 Recoilless Rifle. The force from the weapon firing could be felt even from within the cockpit of the vehicle, as well as creating a could of smoke that quickly faded away due to the rain and moisture.
Hope everyone had a great Halloween.
@BigPapaBelial A good question! I had writers block for a bit and that's why it took me so long.

If there was one thing that Maya disliked the most about the weather of Night City, it would have to be the scorching heat and bone dry winds that were all to common for this area of Southern California. She understood that the city was located within an arid climate, but at the same time the pacific ocean was right at the cities edge. Not all was lost though, for when there were hot days with dry winds, a high chance for cool weather and a storm with rain to follow presented itself. That type of weather on the other hand, was not only greatly welcomed but also very much enjoyed by the retired Trauma Team medic and pilot. Unfortunately for this early evening, it appeared that the heat and dry winds were here to stay for the time being, and they would all have to deal with the discomfort.

For Maya though, she had managed to get her hands upon a full set of fatigues that sort of helped regulate her body temperature in not only the heat but also the cold, which assisted with the discomfort brought on by bipolar weather conditions. As an added bonus, the fatigues had a digital urban camo pattern upon it, which was a personal favorite of hers. On the outside of this was her Trauma Team medic armor, which Maya had repurposed and also recolored a dark gray so that it would blend better with the fatigues. The only piece of armor that may have drawn the most attention to her was the helmet, apparently belonging to a TTI pilot at one time.

If it had not been for Top Guns call about the shard they were about to attempt to grab, Maya would have spent the night enjoying some R & R within her Japan Town apartment, doing whatever her heart desired. For better or worse, she now found herself standing among the rest of the crew, having decided to keep her mouth shut untill she felt it necessary to speak up. That did not take long though, for when Zen spoke about killing people and getting paid for it, she lifted the protective visor from over her eyes and was about to open her mouth when Fingers beat her to it. Once he had finished, Maya finely spoke up. "Depending on how we wish to approach this situation, we could lose more than ammo and time if someone decides to shoot everything that moves inside of the apartment complex. Speaking of which, how are we going to carry this out? Are we going to go in loud or are we going to try and use stealth? I am adaptable but would at least like some sort of plan to be laid out beforehand."
Hello there Dead Drop! I am interested in joining this RP if there is still room.
"Believe it or not, I actually agree with that statement Stukov, some actions are necessary due to the universe that we deal with. Perhaps we could continue this conversation at a later time, when or if your xenophobia for myself passes." said Maya before she shrugged lightly, returning her attention to the meal before her. The thought of the two of them having a deep and meaningful conversation about how each of their societies worked and the way they viewed their existence caused a small smirk to spread across the Eldar's face. That would indeed be a very interesting, and educational conversation for the both of them. Though she knew the chance of that happening within the next century was slime to none, so Maya decided not to hold her breath. Instead, she turned her thoughts and attention back to the current situation at hand. She had been offered the chance to assist Celestian Superior Andromedai and her retinue with anything they may need, on top of whatever else may occur while being present. Only a short while ago, something like this would have appeared impossible, but apparently times were indeed changing.

"As I have said before, the thought of a drinking contest between the retinue, however amusing it would be, will not be happening while I still draw breath. You may partake in the drinks of your choice, but I expect you all do to responsibly, keep that in mind." said Celestian Andromedai, breaking the awkward air that had formed between Maya and Stukov. The Sister of Battles eyes looked around the table to ensure everyone was paying attention to what she had said, though trying to find out what was going through Medaira's head at any point in time was truly, an impossibility. Without saying another word for the moment, she turned her focus back to her food, enjoying a fantastic meal of the sorts she very rarely had the opportunity to have.

While all of this was unfolding though, Solares had been eyeing Stukov's Viper-Ale Chili. The guardsmen had left it untouched, and from the looks of it, he apparently had no interest in eating any of the meal before him. So, taking a chance, Solares reached over to the bowl of chili and grabbed onto it, holding eye contact with Stukov before the meal was placed in front of her. Quickly, without waiting for a reply, she grabbed onto her spoon and began taking small bites of its contents. From the slightly pained look that was now upon her face, Solares had not expected the Viper-Chili to be so spicy. This did not deter her from the meal though, in fact, it only resulted in her enjoying the chili even more. The coughing fit that had begun though, may have concerned the rest of the retinue at the table.

Andromedai took the last bite of her food, then placed her utensils upon the plate in front of her, clearly satisfied. "Is everyone else finished with their meals? I would like to start moving around the city before it becomes a bit to chaotic out on the streets." The Celestian looked over to Solares who now had a slight tinge of red across her face, still coughing every few moments after taking a large bite of the Viper-Ale Chili. "Are you alright Solares? Do you need some milk?" asked Andromedai, slightly concerned. Solares shook her head and gave a thumbs up before continuing with the meal before her.
