"No if we get sick or something we have the best healer on the planet so why worry about it. You want to go with me? It's more fun if you get friends to go with you than it is going by yourself." Shiver asked him. "Do you have normal clothes like jeans and a nice shirt?" Shiver's comlink was beeping at her. She sighed. "Thank God it's Friday right? Let me know if we need to go shopping before we go out tonight. Duty calls."

Shiver rounded the corner and headed towards the office. She picked up the fax on her desk and teleported to the scene of a hostage situation. It should have been easy as there were only two shooters. She spoke to the chief of police and he said that the first shooter was unreasonable and seemed to be strung out on something. The second shooter seemed to be scared to death which made him dangerous. Shiver nodded. "Give me a few minutes." Shiver ported in and built an ice wall around the scared shooter so he couldn't hurt anyone. Shiver grinned a little at the other guy. He was strung out on something was absolutely right. He was high as a kite. Shiver ice shackled his hands together and he complained that he couldn't unzip his pants to go pee so he went right there on the floor. Shiver grabbed the gun from him and told the police to come in. "Ok Chief, you guys can come in now."

Shiver looked up, her eyes were still red. "I'm ok. Ro'kun left. He had to go train with his former master. I don't know how to reach him or if he is coming back." She remembered that Evergreen had just up and left him too. "How are you handling things these days? I'm going to a club tonight. I figure a little dancing and drinking and hopefully I won't teleport myself into a volcano on the way back." She chuckled, mostly joking.

8am Day 17

Nikki Hyatt

In the morning as Nikki woke up she felt her headache. "Water, I need water." She mumbled to herself as she tried to sit up. She swung her legs over the side of the bed and realized that she wasn't in her bed or at the school. She opened her eyes and thankfully it wasn't too bright in the room. She looked around the room. She grabbed her coat and put it on. Everything seemed to be in the pockets. She suddenly realized she wasn't wearing her boots. She found them easily enough and put them on. Nikki heard voices in the other room and leaned up against the wall to listen. She heard Vincent's voice and opened the door.

"Vincent?" Nikki's head was really hurting and now her stomach had joined the chorus of agony. She saw the bathroom and dove inside locking the door. She was in there for quite some time and when she finally emerged she was pale and shaky. She couldn't believe how badly Matt's hand print had bruised her face. It was really sore. She found toothpaste in the bathroom and brushed her teeth with her finger and gargled and rinsed her mouth well. She still felt terrible but when she opened the door he was right there. She wrapped her arms around him in a tight hug. "I was so worried about you guys. Where are we and where are the kids?" She said looking around. She saw Raven but no one else.

Nikki's mind was a little foggy and she remembered being carried. "Were you the one carrying me?" Nikki felt a little unsteady on her feet and moved towards the couch with his help. "Can I get some water please?" She started pulling things out of her coat pockets looking for a small bottle. She pulled out a few pills and put the bottle back in along with the rest of the stuff. She sipped the water until she was sure she wasn't going to throw it all back up.

"Okay so when can you guys be ready to go back to the school?"

Shiver stared at the letter in disbelief. She opened the closet door and all of his clothes were gone. She looked at the bag next to where the note was and started laughing. The laughter turned to tears. It was happening again, she lost him indefinitely. What if he never came back? She had already lost Michael and Cal and Enyo and now Ro'kun. Shiver had never felt more alone than she did at that exact moment.

A little while later Shiver looked at the calendar. It was a Friday and she decided she was going out to a club. She didn't want to sit around and mope. She also wanted a drink.
