"Miles you can't step down. We need you and you are good at it. It's not like you are gone all the time. You come home every night and you will have a lot of time to see the little one. You might even end up with a few 'take your son to work' days. Besides, if you step down then I just have to do it and how am I going to do that and raise the baby?" Cammy leaned over and pulled his hand up and laid it on the side of her belly so he could feel the soccer player inside.
Enyo was tired of sitting in that chair so she brought Velocity down to take over watching Omega. She went upstairs to find that Eden and Shiver had gone to bed. She walked towards her own room and looked at the HQ. It looked like it had gone through hell. The plexiglass roof over the pool area was currently covered. There was glass and construction dust everywhere. The electrical had been shut off to the heavily damaged part. There was blood on the floor in places where Shiver's rapist had blown Eden's side open and where she stabbed him. Kyle's apartment door was hanging. There were bullet holes all over the place and places that looked like they were melted.
There was a head to one of the metas. The body had disappeared but the head had not been attached. Enyo went over and picked up the head and tossed it into the garbage. She saw something on the neck and pulled it back out. "SHIVER!" Enyo went to her apartment and punched in a code and went inside. Shiver was sleeping and Enyo flipped on the light holding the head and when Shiver opened her eyes she saw a decapitated head and shreiked. She reached over and hit a laughing Enyo. "This is the first guy I took out. Look at his neck." Enyo saw the smile on her face. "Gotcha!" The girls High fived and called Wicked and Miles to look at the Phoenix tattoo on the guy's neck. "PROOF that they attacked us!"
Nikki was outside on the roof of the school and looking out at the distance to see if anything was on the horizon. Determining that it was still the same hellish scenario that it was yesterday. She was all stretched out and practicing her parkour. She had made it everytime but once and that time she had barely hung on til she could flip herself in but she twisted her ankle that time.
Kyle was officially out of pot, and pills, and alcohol, and just about everything that the world had left him to enjoy himself. Kyle struggled to search his backpack as he was walking down the road, struggling between the need to search every nook and cranny of his bag or watching out for zombies. Kyle, after failing to find any treasures, realized that he couldnt keep going at it solo. It was too much work. Which is when Kyle eyed a peculiar sight. A building, a school building, which looked mostly intact. Kyle walked faster, almost to the point where it could be considered walk running. As Kyle grew closer he was able to make out a character on the roof of the school building.
Nikki got ready and she sprinted across the roof and dove sideways off and onto the floor two stories down. She hit hard but rolled and landed on her back. She laughed and let out a deep breath before getting up and flipping off the first floor roof to the ground. She bowed before her audience and laughed as she went inside.
James was still hitting on her whenever he got the chance and although Nikki liked the attention she wasn't in a hurry to mess up again. He did corner her once again and kissed her but got a knee for his troubles.
Kyle ended up bursting into a full sprint towards the school. Kyle ran as hard as he could towards the front entrance. He had just seen some person leap to their death. Kyle didnt so much as bust through the front entrance of the school, but only ran up to the front doors and banged on the front doors as hard as could. Kyle tried to shout as well but he was completley out of breath so it came out raspy and unintelligable.
Nikki turned back around and opened the door to see a rather cute guy trying to catch his breath. She smirked at him. "Can I help you?" After watching him for a minute she brought him in. "Are you ok?"
Kyle couldnt believe his eyes. "The *pant* there was *pant* someone *pant* Someone just jumped from the roof!
Nikki grinned knowing what he was getting at. "No, I was doing parkour. If you'd like I could do it again for you." The look on his face made her laugh. "Were you looking for a place to live or just wandering through?"
Kyle couldnt believe his ears. Parkour? for real? just......why? "Listen Parkour FemJesus before I answer that, answer me this. Will I have to learn how to do shit like that?" Kyle pointed at Nikki and twirled is finger to indicate her parkour.
Nikki busted out laughing. "No, I am the only one in the entire school who messes with it. Most of the others think it's crazy." She held out her hand. "I'm Nikki Hyatt and this is my school. I run it with a group of people but I protect it. So who are you? and What did you do before the world went to hell?"
Kyle held Nikkis hand in his, raised it up to his face, and kissed her backhand."Well my name is Kyle Hishamie. before the world went to hell, I was a super sercet agent bent on world domination. My attempts so far have been........unsuccessful. Zombies beat me to it," Kyle said as he winkes at the end to show he wasnt being serious.
Nikki was happy to see someone with a sense of humor. Well let's get you settled in. She turned the corner and led him down a hallway on the left were classrooms and across on the right was the library and miscellaneous rooms. "The first classroom is the medical ward. My brother Matt keeps everyone alive and fixes you up in there The next room over is mine. Usually James sits between my room and the med center because we call on him alot."
"Come to think of it I should probably not call on him so much. I think you can go right here. This room is next to mine and on the other side of you is James' room. Jenna will call meals over the PA system so you can eat. Let me know if you need something and be ready to jump when called on. No one gets a free ride here." Nikki went into her room and shut the door to change.
James showed up and sat down outside the door and eyed Kyle. He stood up and told Kyle. "Did you meet Nikki yet? when he nodded James said "Stay away from her she is my girl." A moment later Nikki came out in black leather pants, boots and a tank top and wearing a black leather Trenchcoat and carrying a sword that would make a samurai jealous.
Nikki went next door to see if Matt needed anything and James backhanded him in the stomach. "Remember what I said."
Kyle couldnt help it but laugh. I mean Kyle tried really hard not to, he knew he would just be instigating and that always led to violence, but really Kyle just coudlnt keep it in. Kyle laughed, but what happened next was kyles fault entirely and he knows it. When kyle thinks back to this moment Kyle coulf never say why he did what he did. Kyle pull a small rumbled up ball of writing paper, grabbed Jame's shirt, dropped the paper ball in his shirt, and than backhanded the spot where the ball was in his shirt. Kyle jumped back and immediatly a smell imminated from James. James coughed and hacked from his own smell."See, what that there was a stink bomb. Believe it or not you can use this to help hide yourself from zombies if they haven't seen you before. Its made up of some paper, Amonnia, small spark ignited when hit with some force, some matches, onion, garlic, cabbage, and hair. Remember what i said jackass." Kyle then walked away.
Shiver chuckled as Kyle realized what Cupid had to do with his sex life. She turned around and said "Hey Cupid isn't it gorgeous out here? I love the smell right after it rains. It's clean." Shiver smiled. "Hey thanks for inviting me up here but I'm heading to bed. God knows what will happen tomorrow." She smiled a little sadly and teleported into her room and went to bed.
Shiver had just left the office and got a text from Kyle. She teleported to the roof. "Wow, you are right. That is gorgeous." She yawned. "Did anyone even eat dinner? This entire day has been insane." Shiver looked at Kyle and smirked. "So it appears Miss Eden has stolen your heart and you stole her virginity. I figured it out when Cupid started looking better not long after she went running down the hall practically naked considering her clothes were see through." She chuckled. "Good for you guys. Someone around here should have a little bit of happiness." She looked tired. "So is Eden sleeping?"
