Matt was exhausted. He had asked for Kat three times since he had gotten back and she never showed up. He figured Gracie was giving her a rough time today. Matt trudged up the stairs like a man sleepwalking. Once he got near Jon's room he could hear laughter and it made him smile. He opened the door to his room to find it empty. His brows creased and he walked over to a letter that she had left him.

Fear like nothing he had ever felt before infected his adrenaline system and he ran out of the room screaming for Kat. He got on the walkie and told everyone to search the inside of the school immediately. Matt was about to lose his mind when he heard. "Found Kat. She and baby are ok." Matt had gotten as far as out back of the school. He had started fighting walkers outside in hopes that she wasn't one of them. Matt got back inside and asked, "Where?" He was very angry. "We are in the north west hallway on the main floor." He heard George say.

When Matt got there George left and Matt looked at Kat. He didn't know what to do so he hugged her so tightly that Grace screamed. Matt looked at her eyes and saw fear and determination. "How...HOW could you? That letter nearly killed me. Don't you realize how safe it is compared to outside these walls? Kat, if something happened to you it would kill me. Don't you know that?" He pulled her back in for a kiss full of love. "Baby, you can't leave me. If you are that determined I'll take you out tomorrow in the truck and let you see how it is out there. Or better yet, talk to Jon's girlfriend Ingrid. She can tell you."

Shiver had just gotten into the building after the airlines buses took their people to the hospital to be checked out. She took off running towards a horrible screaming. She saw Cupid and her jaw dropped.

"Cupid came soaring in and fell. His body landing hard and it appeared that he had been forcing himself to fly with a broken wing. He shook, his clothes wrinkled and his hair unkempt. He slowly sat up and held his head. His mind hurt and it hurt bad. At least he had manged to find Apollo and get that information Kyle wanted...not that he could remember it now. He shuddered and went to stand but ended up falling back down. He held his knees now...making holes in his pants visible. His wings lay limp the grotesque bend of one showing how broken it is. He rocked back and forth and squeezed his eyes shut. He slowly held his head again and made a hoarse sounding scream. It was faint and the sound was painful to hear as if he had been screaming for too long."

She ran over to him and let Wicked know to come running in her mind. Shiver tried to hold him without hurting him more. "Cupid what the hell happened?" Wicked skidded and ran over and put her hands on him. It only took a moment for her to start seeing results. He started healing up well but he was still shaken up and Shiver hugged him. "Where were you?"

Piper couldn't get the look on his face out of her mind. She was torn. She knew he played along with her suggestion that he was following them. She knew it wasn't true. If anything he had hoped to do whatever he was doing there without her and Nora finding out. She wondered what it was and desperately hope she was wrong. She was attracted to the vampire. He was the first one that she had been with. She usually stayed away from them. She seemed to fit in better with the wolves most of the time.

She looked at Nora who was looking at the lessening darkness and Piper put her foot on the floor and the car was pushing the red line but she wasn't going to put Nora in jeopardy from something as predictable as the sun. "Put your gloves on grab the blanket back there and cover yourself. We'll be there in ten minutes."

"We're not going to make it." "Wanna bet?" Piper could see the house she just had to get her there fast enough. The car was pushing 110 already. Piper turned the car and prayed it would not flip as she took the corner onto the road on two wheels. She started hitting the horn. She knew Rick would get her inside with cover the second the car stopped. Piper slid the car in sideways maybe three feet from the steps. The door opened and Nora was yanked out and inside the house. Piper started laughing in relief. She dragged herself out of the car and stood up and stretched in the rising sunlight.

Piper looked at the car. It was smoking, there was burnt rubber in the driveway and right where she slid around the corners. "There better be another car around here." Piper said chuckling to herself as she entered the house.
