Alex smiled at her and kissed her tenderly. "Family is important and you are wolf you are meant to run in a pack. There are also times I'll have to be away here and there so it wouldn't be fair of me to tell you not to do it. It would be good to know you had the pack at your back if I wasn't around. Shade would be there but like right now he has his hands full training Sara. As long as running with the wolves doesn't take up too much time and who says I couldn't go once in a while too."

He chuckled to himself and nuzzled her neck and kissed her lovingly. He wondered exactly when he had become an advocate for werewolves and their kind. He didn't care. He loved his wolf girl and he wasn't going to make her miserable and if he was too selfish she would end up resenting him. "I love you Claudia." He moved on top of her again and he showed her just how much. He was pretty certain he was going to have to soundproof their room.

Piper had come out of the underbrush in a dead heat running for her life. There was a pack of wolves after her. One of them had bitten her back leg around a corner and it was hurting. Her panicked howl had Lukas running flat out his heart pounding in his chest as he tackled the leader of the pack while going full throttle. Both wolves rolled and tumbled towards the trees. Lukas managed not to hit the tree but only just barely. Hearing the high pitched yelp as his opponent did. Lukas got to his feet and took off after the rest of the pack.

Alex could hear the pack snarling and he heard a couple of wolves growling and a crash and a yelp of pain. "Claudia! Piper! Lukas!"

Piper heard Alex's voice and turned towards his direction. He was ready for them when Piper came nearly flying at him. She moved at the last second and he didn't see Lukas but he saw a whole bunch of other wolves chasing her. Alex kicked the first one right in the face sending it crying in pain as it flew back sideways. The next wolf he grabbed around the ribs as it tried to dart around him to get to Piper. Crushing it he tossed the wolf away to the side. He could hear the third before he could see it. This one lunged at him as it launched itself at him. Alex wrestled with this one a moment or two. This one was faster than the other two in it's attack. When he got a chance to, he sunk his fangs into it's throat and ripped it open. The wolf went limp almost immediately. He turned around to see Piper sitting in her human form looking at her ankle. He heard Lukas and another wolf fighting and when he got there it was Lukas fighting two wolves and he was doing very well so Alex didn't interfere. When Lukas finished he looked up at Alex and changed back to human.

"Piper?" Alex tilted his head towards her up the trail.

"She's up there. Where is Claudia?"

"She split off from us before the attack. She was staying a little closer to the house, to you." Alex nodded. He ran off in that general direction as Lukas ran to Piper.

"Claudia!" Alex shouted.

Okay just an FYI The commander did not say they were out of food just that it was low and that they didn't have enough for much longer. They are not starving and they have at least enough food to feed them all for at least two weeks. At least they do now that so many are dying.

Yes he meant that they needed to do something before there was no food left. Opening the doors was supposed to give them the chance to go look for food and find a way to survive out in the new world. The part they didn't look at was people dropping dead right away. I love Kwan. She cracks me up. I'd be running from the snakes not eating them. lol

So... the entryway, what is it like? A vestibule, surely? Yes.This bunker is underground, so it's like a shaft that leads to the surface? Possibly with multiple heavy sealed doors in case of disasters perhaps?Yes

The entryway leads to a cleared area, enough for 154 200 people probably. Is it a completely open space? NoDoes it have other uses? How far back does the entryway go, and is it something like an open room that leads to a hallway at the back that leads to the living quarters, cafeteria, etc?

Or is it more like a... hub? With halls that lead to the different sections? Yes, there is a large cafeteria which serves multiple purposes. There are four sections where there is living quarters. There is one section where the rooms are 8x9 for married couples.

Perhaps there would be several living sectors, and the cafeteria would possibly have lunches in shifts or more like an open buffet? Hm.. then I assume there's storage spaces for gear/rations, supplies etc.Yes

Let's see... how is air filtered here? Plants? Charcoal/synthetic filters in a closed air system? NO wait... hum... there'd have to be something to make sure there's oxygen, and I'm not sure filters alone would cut it for that. Uh...There are lots of plants and they have to recycle air and water. All filtration systems are in place for this.

The bunker is full of rooms. There are small bedrooms for nearly 200 or so. There are bathrooms, showers and a cafeteria type kitchen. It's a tight living space for 200 but they only had 154 so it was slightly easier for them. The asteroid wasn't expected until the last 24 hours so they were picking up people at random hoping that the younger ones would be able to learn from the older ones and reproduce so it would not be the end of humanity. You can describe a set of drawers in their rooms with a single bed and that's about it. It was really about the size of a normal bathroom. About 5'x8' approximately.

Day 1 10:45am
Harley had just brought back the latest dead body to what she was now calling the pyre. This one she was having trouble with. This was the older man she used to eat with everyday. He reminded her of her grandfather and she had tears running down her face as she went through his pockets. Harley looked up when the spiderman look alike guy asked her if she was supposed to be looting the dead bodies. Harley stood up and walked right up to him and got in his face. Her voice gravelly from the air and husky from the emotions she stared at him just a moment.

"Yes! I am taking the useful things so that the survivors can use them. Do you have a problem with taking a knife that a dead man can't use anymore?" Her attitude was showing and she sounded forceful.

She was emotional and angry that all of this was happening and he was pushing her limits calling her out on something she found hard enough to do already. They needed it done and she knew it had to be done, she just wished it wasn't her doing it.

Harley walked over to the box by Robert and dropped a few things into it. Between the things she was finding and the things the others were dropping in and even some of the dying were dropping their things in to help, it was starting to pile up. Harley needed water. She was so thirsty. She looked back at Jason and she leaned against the building feeling very sick to her stomach. Figuring it was just stress from the day she decided to walk it off and grabbed the next body and started to drag it back.

She looked at Jason and demanded to know. "Exactly what are you doing to help spidey?" Harley just got a few feet past Jason and she was dizzy and sweaty. She felt really hot.

"Whoa, Spidey...I don't feel so good." Harley collapsed to the ground.

That's okay. I figure they would probably be testing him as the new leader and they were Samuel's guys so they might tend to be bigger assholes than he realized. Give him some grief to fix. :)
