"I'm not going anywhere. You'll have to try harder than that to get rid of me!" He grinned. He could see the fear in her eyes and he held her tight. He knew he would talk to her about it soon. "Claudia, babe it wasn't real. I won't let that kind of thing happen. Trust me. I've been around a long time."

Alex's cell phone rang and he sighed in frustration and answered it. After a minute or so he said, "Okay". Getting off of the phone he called and told Shade where he was going. He knew this could be a dangerous mission and even if he convinced Claudia not to accompany him, which he highly doubted would happen he still might need Shade. "Baby, I have to go handle this mission for the council." He sighed and looked at her pleadingly. "Is there any way I can get you to stay here?" He got up and got dressed.

Sara Stockton

Sara was taking advantage of Shade and she knew it. She knew he wasn't able to resist her hyper libido anymore than she was. She felt totally connected to him in a different way than she had ever connected with someone else before. When his phone rang when they were laying in the afterglow talking about their lives. She became irritated that he answered it. "It's Alex," Shade said and then he took the call. "Alright, I'll be ready." He looked at his charge and gave her a funny look. "Get dressed, we are going on a mission with Alex and Claudia."

The excitement in her eyes was obvious and the tone of her voice would have had any other worried just a little bit. "Oh goody! I want to see what we do out there." Sara hopped up and got dressed as he was doing.

Shade grabbed her arm and she stopped and looked at him. "Sara" he said getting gruff with her. "Did you hear me? Claudia is going too. You are going to have to focus. If you do anything you aren't supposed to do Alex will stake you. You must obey every command he or I gives you. Do you understand me?"

Sara nodded in understanding. "I'll keep my distance from her and if I have no choice but to be near her I'll tell her to hit me if I start to get a little crazy." Shade nodded but chuckled a little. "That's probably a good idea." They went to the house to pick up Alex and Claudia. Once there Shade and Sara took the back seat and let them take the front.

Day 1 1pm
Harley watched as the large man collapsed and she yelled for one of the other men to help her get him inside. Once Harley got him inside she realized how hot he was she took him towards the showers in a wheelchair. There had been a few in use as some of the elderly had lost their mobility. He was heavy but she thanked the guard that helped her and she put all of her strength in getting him in there.

She burst through the door to the women's side of the showers. It was empty and she looked at the chair and she had to decide. Take the chair in the water and let it rust from the water or try to lift him on her own? She patted the man down for anything that might be damaged by the water and not finding much more than a knife which she put on the floor outside of the shower. She removed his shoes and tossed them away from where the water would be.

Harley was breathing hard. She still felt like hell and he was too heavy for her to maneuver on her own so she turned the water on cool but not freezing and rolled Sasha under the water and let his body cool down. Meanwhile she stripped down to her undies and her tank top and turned the next shower on and drenched herself in the cold water. She stood there that way for quite a while. It was helping her to feel better.

Alex picked up Claudia and carried her at high speed back to the house and straight into the living room. He growled at those in the house and took her straight to his room. Piper and Lukas went straight to their room and then into Alex and Claudia's room after Piper threw clothes on. Alex put her on top of the bed and covered her up with a blanket so she wouldn't be exposed to eyes when she reverted to human. Lukas stood at the foot of the bed out of the way, still a wolf because of the full moon while Piper brought a clean wet towel to help locate and sop up blood.

Alex looked at Piper and said, "I want you to feed her. You are part wolf so it might be easier on her somehow. I'll work on the other injuries." Piper was not sure she agreed with him but she fed Claudia. Alex slit his wrist again and soaked her other injuries and they seemed to heal a little faster than they were before.

Alex looked completely broken. There were tears in his eyes and he spoke to Piper. "I need your opinion. You live in both worlds. Am I putting her in danger by keeping her with me? If she weren't with me she wouldn't have been on the property and she wouldn't have been injured."

Piper kept silent for a moment as she cleaned the blood out of Claudia's fur as it healed. "Alex, you know I'll always love you. What we had was wonderful and I'll always cherish that." She stopped cleaning the fur and looked at him.

"You can't worry about everything that might or might not happen. You have to live your life and live it in a way that makes you happy. The two of you together, have the kind of love most people only dream of. If you let her go your life will be full of regret for the rest of your life and she would be so miserable. She imprinted on you. She can't stay away, no matter what you do or say she can't be far from you for long it will make her hurt, she craves being with you and the love in the eyes and actions of the two of you when you are together is breathtaking to see." She stood up and hugged him When she let go she smacked him upside the head lightly with a smile on her face. "Don't you dare leave her. It would be the biggest mistake you ever made." Piper kissed his cheek and he kept staring at his mate. Lukas trotted out of the room after Piper.

Lucinda was standing in the doorway watching the entire scene. When they had come in she had run into her room and changed into casual clothes so she could go with them if need be. She stepped just inside the doorway.

"Piper's right you know. You two are perfect for each other. We'll all be there for her. She is family. She is not alone and you don't have to worry about that." He looked at his maker and and nodded. "Thank you Lucinda."

Alex covered Claudia back up and he climbed into bed behind her and put his arm around her carefully. He kept talking to her whispering into her ear how much he loved her and telling her to come back to him. Lucinda quietly closed the door.
