I find it interesting that Yllendthyr would object to mistreatment of the native humans, considering that the elven overlords sort of have an apartheid state going on. In any case, I just wondered because what I said is most likely going to happen. I can't see Babur being spineless or passive when it comes to the Zanjir; he's going to try to get those islands in a vice grip, which means sending in more soldiers to maintain order and occupying/building forts in the islands that the Tinites haven't landed on yet.
Well, humans are second class citizens but citizens of Yllendthyr regardless. Favoring one race doesn't mean they ignore the rest. Not anymore.
Also it has been centuries since they treated humans like slaves. The generation or even the sons of the generation which typically mistreated humans are mostly dead.
More importantly, Yllendthyr needs to maintain a certain image to the world. They can't be viewed as barbarians, aren't they?
Also to be fair, Elves are nowadays crafty as hell and view immigrant waves as a method to get their hands on a cheap workforce. It's a win-win situation.

Anyways, if you just establish forts and generally tighten the military grip then it probably just make Yllendthyr wary of you. They'd reinforce their positions in response and may ask you to ease on arming the islands. They'd probably do it in this order because they'd know that Tin would not listen to them. They only warn you in order to put the world's attention to your actions. And well, to say that "they tried".

And now I have a question. Would Tin even allow Zanjir citizens to emigrate to Yllendthyr?
I mean your future subjects running away is counterproductive. Not to mention Tin's usual stance to people leaving their country.

@Willy Vereb Looks fine so far, may request that you change your ship amount when I decide upon an actual upper limit.
With 30+ planets I doubt the upper limit would be realistically anywhere below the multi-thousand range.
Spaceships might be big, require lots of advanced technology and other concerns but we play nations that control multiple star sytems and can strip mine them at will. And then we can talk about the BS productions Replicators can give.

Anyways, 70% of my ships are needed to patrol my homeworlds. So effectively I can only ever mobilize hundreds of ships at the time.
I can give you my world that I don't try to play arms race with other people or attempt to dominate them because "haha, my fleet is bigger".
I will strive for balance and sensible RPing as always.
My nation might be rather militarized but it's still just a minor civ compared to the big players here. And I'll keep that in mind.
It also worths considering that I use mostly frigates while other nations will likely mount full battleship fleets.
Even if I have more ships that won't mean I'll be ore powerful. Often it could be the opposite.
@Willy Vereb

Shifting the topic a bit, how eould Yllendthyr feel if Tin suddenly sent a few hundred thousand more men into the Zanjir as reinforcements, then rushed to establish control over the few remaining unoccupied islands?

And then what would they do if Tin's violence was enough to drive hordes of starving, terrified native refugees across the border to your islands?
Had to leave before I could answer this question before.
Well, it would heavily depend on the situation.
Yllendthyr sure won't like if you march hundreds of thousands of soldiers near their borders and may call up reinforcements from the Brascad.
Although before that at least they would give a stern warning to the Tinite Sultan. Same for the mistreatment of the Zanjir citizens.
Especially since their friends the Avalians would likely pressure Yllendthyr to take action.
As for the refugees, Yllendthyr has no choice but to accept them.
Albeit he may also decide to retrain them as soldiers since they certainly have the motivation to fight the Tinite oppression.
Really, it all depends on the situation.
Yllendthyr in general is very open and diplomatic but they can be also quite sinister if the opportunity arises.
The fact they got dibs on Zanjir is mostly thanks to the latter.
Just look at the position.
There are about 3 countries between Yllendthyr and Zanjir.
Yet somehow Yllendthyr established colonies over there.
Did you ever wonder why and how?

I actually meant to speak to you about that, I was wondering if there would be a significant number of Kaliabis/Kallabis hanging around Tin?
Kallibs are welcome in Yllendthyr, too.
Albeit they might prefer to lessen their exposure to crotchskulls.

Alright, posting what I have now:

I haven't filled out my history part yet for the reason I said before.
I'll do that when my inspiration returns.
It was a gloriously detailed history which I doubt I can easily reproduce.
@Willy Vereb: All the characters have already been briefed, and they are not actually inside the castle. Your character, too, should have been briefed, which happened before they even entered the world.

I am actually attempting to display some of the world and characters in it, as well as the layout of the castle and the Eye of the Serpent.

While action is certainly part of this RP, there's more then just action.

The Queen is already with the characters as well, leading them to the castle.

I'm going to be posting again in a couple scenes, including the castle, again today.
Well, yeah. Don't mind if it's more than action but all players I read in the OOC were quite prepared for the battle to start.
You said that the Queen haven't even told us yet about the secret of the treause she has so that's what I meant by "briefing".
I certainly don't mind character development or generally some interaction but it seemed players were put in the limbo and only trying to pass the time.

@Willy Vereb

I could meet your race if need be.
That can work too.
Basically there'd be be a Kriegschloss entrusted to make an automated mining facility on an uninhabited planet.
And then they meet your people along the way.

@White FeatherAre you willing to meet one more civilizations?
I can't quite do anything without somehow establishing Krugstahl and I don't want to do this without asking a player's permission prior.

Dammit, I wanted to claim Japan lol XD
We are talking about figurative terms or based on role.
Your nation is indeed more oriental themed than any in this RP.
i treated you like fantasy China/Japan from the get go.

So what's the worst offences, maybe i can tweak it to work.

And i saw Q being mentioned, and my character would have little to say in a fight against that guy :P
You'd have the same role. Random energy being with some great powers who can mess up the day of any wandering spaceship crew.

Damn it I accidentally cut and then forgot to paste my post and overwrote the content of the clipboard.
4-5 paragraphs worth of complicated Mortean history is gone! (and many other stuff I care somewhat less about)
I don't think I'll have the motivation to rewrite that any time today.
