I might suggest that perhaps this map isn't the entire world, but just one continent/region, so as to make these countries seem a bit less fuck-off-big.

Imperialism, colonies, new world and such concepts are in full swing here. It wouldn't make much sense to be not the map of the entire world.
At best we can assume that the planet is smaller here.

Hm.. It seems that I have lost a large amount of my over sea territories, oh well. Might just keep expanding on my mainland.

Hey, I am not complaining.
Afterall this is a game. Rather than grabbing huge territories it's preferable if everyone gets something along with borders to dispute on.

No one wants to border my orcs. :D

I didn't expand to your borders because I didn't wish to grab too much land.
Speaking of which you're partially the one to blame here. You ate up a large portion of the continent thus not many could start near you. Especially that now super large nations being the fad.

I suppose.
Which means we can use some of the more classic Western era firearms.
Still, I wonder how will we generate electricity. Then again this is steampunk, tech limitations are vague when involving non-standard stuff.

Yeah, 19th century tech is weird because it only picks up near the end.
Mid 19th century is basically almost like the Napoleonic era.
There are some distinct differences like gradual spread of breechloaders and the Minié Ball but that's quite a massive kick in tech.
1980s would most likely make more sense, IMO.

The islands were claimed by Jotunn first. The problem is the panama canal style area which was claimed by Voltus first. Albeit they can try to same as I did with Loki. Both of you own one side of that channel.

Willy, the more colonies you have on the east, the more wars of reconquista we can have. This is a good thing. Also, we need to work out the details of our war, at least in brief. I'm open for whatever.

That's exactly the point!
I want to have more colonies for more messes to happen. I don't plan to give up my territories without a fight but I am all for a fun story.

As for the war, I think we can collab that in PM. Contact me once I did my history first.
BTW, when did you plan to secede from my nation?
I thought either the late 18th century or sometime the 19th century. Theorizing the game has the same timeline as real world.
If not then sometime between twenty to slightly less than a hundred years ago.
What do you think?

Well it wasn't really due to elves wabtinf to impose thier religion, they wanted to mislead the king to ruin his own kingdom. Thry just used it as a catalyst.

Oh, and I added Society and Economy to my CS.

What if your nation has a variation of Arvandor as their current religion? Or given you are a fascist empire what if this is exactly the reason why you are anti-religion in stances? To stamp out the harmful elvish influence.

Well I have come to the conclusion that I will play a *gasp* human nation, someone has to represent all the races, and what race better to do so then the humans.

Also, Whalepunk.

Almost 70% of my population are human and I think Jotunn's Ren-Guo are similarly humans.
So in effect I think we will reach that "human majority" still.
Hopefully.

BTW, whalepunk is new to me but after a bit of research I think they would strangely fit here.
We have both steampunk and some mysticism.

I suppose yeah. BTW, I am using the same religion I did for Yllendthyr in the The Sun Will Never Set game.
Although I wonder if I should make them less religiously tolerant. That might make it more interesting. Here comes the Elvish Inquisition!
EDIT: If I remember right the elven religion is called Arvandor.

Well, they basically have the Tolkienesque belief system so it actually kind of makes sense.

The border between me and Blaserkr is going to be another cannal to facilitate worldwide trade.
Also I might have territories on the other end of the far right continent but I left that blank to give Jotunn more options.
