Question about the named NPCs, who're NOT useless flunkies.:
How much freedom do we have in dealing with them? As in, can our characters auto-hit them and can we decide the outcome of those hits ourselves? Can we control their actions or decisions? Or, is it more of a "I say I do this" and then you, as the GM, go like: "this is the result of your attempted actions"? in your next post?

I'm also gonna guess that, since there's only one big "recruitment drive" per year, many of the squads would wanna replace or recover their losses from stuff like injuries, retirements, dismissals or deaths from the past year as well. Only accepting 11~ new people per squad PER YEAR seems a bit low to me. But, hey, like I said, I don't really remember the start of the series that well. :<
