Vanessa didn't respond much to the salamander's sudden outburst - and miracukouslsy timed awakening - after the dark mage had given the knight her little spiel. The only thing offered was the briefest of sideways glances, before her blue eyes returned to the man who was detaining them.

But the Guardian of the Cell of Imprisonment was generous today, it seemed, and soon enough the door to salvation was unlocked and swuug awide. Sweet. I was really not about that prison lifestyle... Might've had to blow the walls off if he hadn't let us out...

Dangerous thoughts aside, it seemed Iskah had perked up as well and was eager to get going. There wasn't much point in standing around in this place anymore - after all, they'd been let go and the object of her employer's affections was no longer present in this city.

"Yes, let's be off. We've got places to be and people to see. So, lead on, O' Great Lovestruck One." The dark mage replied, with a smirk and half-closed, playfully mocking eyes.

"Oh, and a good day to you as well, gentle Knight. I'll make sure to mention your galant deeds to some of my friends who might find you to be their type." She added when passing the man by as she exited the cell.
@Remram
Time to min-max and hunt for that up-scale eatery to earn extra 5% value from these 'shrooms!

I think I'll keep the stone for now though... Not that I, on a meta-level, have any immediate plans to try and catch anything that needs a leaf stone, nor to use one in the first place. But you never know... Eve is Eve after all.

@Sanguine Rose
Best of luck to you with yer writing. See ya next month. :)

EDIT:

Oh, and happy halloween to all of you who celebrate it.

Trick or Treat and Fist or Food for all!
So it has come to my attention that it has been longer than a week since I last posted. Woops.

... Oh, you don't saaaaaaaaaaay~?

*Death glare of shadowed eyes while holding a pitchfork and torch with one of those weird, crescent-shaped creepy smiles*

... We hadn't noticed...
Simple and brief post si simple and brief. Didn't feel like it was very crucial to make a big post when all Eve's doing is handling some bureaocratic and mercantile elements.

Closing in on my goal though... I can feel it.
Evelyn

Eve listened to the apron-clad man's words as he explained the service. It seemed this Move Tutor-deal was some sort of complimentary service that would allow one's pokemon to remember or learn old and new forms of attacks or powers. A beneficial thing for sure, but the man's latter words was a bit off-putting... They didn't teach more powerful moves to new trainers? Why? Was there any point in gatekeeping newbies from veterans? With time, new trainers would likely get a hold of pokemon who already had, or would learn, powerful moves too - and if the goal was that new trainers weren't ready for those, they'd still acquire them eventually anyway. It seemed a bit redundant, at least to Evelyn. But, she kept her mouth shut and just kept hearing the guy out until he was finished. Didn't want to interupt or be rude, after all.

"Hmm... That seems interesting. Could you set me up with that move-swapping app-deal then? It sounds very useful." The girl requested.

She wasn't in the market for learning new moves at the moment. Especially since it apparently cost money, and if her 'mons weren't allowed to learn an poweful moves, it honestly just seemed like a waste of money at this point in time. The abiltiyto let her pokemon swap between the different moves they'd learned over time though? Now that seemed like a worthwhile thing to have. She then recalled something, right out of the blue, having hit her like a thunder from a rainy sky.

"Oh, and... I was in the Starbur Forest a bit ago and I- well, my pokemon, found some things while running around. Is there any place here that might be interested in buying these things?"

She put her bag down next to herself and began rummaging through it. Eventually, the blonde found what she'd been looking for, and began to place these items on the counter of the Move Tutor.

Meanwhile, Growlithe was happy just sitting next to his trainer, sniffing the air and looking around at all the strange things and strange people inside the Pokemon Center.

She produced;
1x Leaf Stone
3z Tiny Mushrooms
3x Oran Berries

Then waited for the guy to reply and either hook her up with the Move Swap-app and appraise her wares, or to be told off and head to the PokeMart to sell them, or whatever else might happen.
We should go gm less in my opinion. No one seems stoked to be the gm and I like the freedom. How would we do this though? Who will be playing villians? Maybe we each take turns? Who knows!

Xalt I would absolutely love to see your plans!

If you're going for a more free-form game without anyone in particular being the GM, you could just agree to play your own villains or ne'er-do-wells, and use the "I write what I want my character to try and do" mechanics whenever you interact with someone else's
villains or scumbags. That way, you can all be equally in charge of handling fights or situations.

Or, you could all just go completely ham and blow shit and people up with MIND BULLETS whenever you want. That's also an option.

As for my plans, you'll have to be a bit more specific. ^^;
My immediate plans for after you guys got signed up at the kiosks and joined your Hero Org was just somehting along the lines of:

1. Let everyone go outside into Atlas Park.
2. Set up several small-time events with low-level threats/crimes, like a purse-snatcher, a cat stuck in a tree, some punk kids spray painting in an alley and things of that nature.
3. Let the heroes choose one of the above situations and have them team up or go solo in handliong them.
4. After finishing 3 of these "tiny" quests, they'd get their first "level up".

If you want further-reaching plans that were made for the distant future, I can send you those in a PM. :)
Seems like ya'll feel up to the challenge of keeping this rolling (which I appreciate). And since nobody's offered any objections to it, I'll just go ahead and slap a Co-GM tag onto @Birdboy for now. That way, you at least have someone who you can all point fingers at if you need to or want something in particular.

As for whether you choose to elect them as your official GM for the RP, or if you all democratically agree to go with a GM-free set up for the future, that's entirely up to ya'll to decide.

Also remember that, while I won't be GM'ing or running this RP anymore, if any of you want my lore or any of the events/scenarios/timeline shennanigans I had planned, just shoot me a PM or call me with an @Xaltwind, and I'll appear like the genie of the lamp and share my intended plans/knowledge/whatever. Or somethin'.
@Birdboy
I'm very grateful for your understanding. :)
And you just lemme know if you wanna take the reins for this, I'll set up the Co-GM priveleges and all that for you if so.

Provided errryone else is cool with it.

Also, I am not bombastic! D:
Alright, let me start off by apologizing for the long wait.

Whatever the eff this sickness that I caught is, it's been a real pain and just refuses to go away. I'm now almost on 3 consecutive weeks of being sick. Yeah, I'm feeling a bit better, but that doesn't mean much when there're also moments of sporadic relapses into feeling like crap out of nowhere.

In addition to this, I've recently started to notice that my eyes - which are already bad due to my birth-laiden handicap - have gotten worse. Notably worse. Like, to the point that I'ma ctually going "Woah, hold on, it wasn't this bad just a month ago, right?". I don't know if this is related to the illness I'm experiencing, or if it's just a sudden and unfortunate drop in vision for/caused by other reason or nature. I honestly couldn't tell you. What I can tell you is that i's having an effect on my basic daily life - and sadly, in addition, reading and roleplaying as well.

While I do use a text-to-speech program to get through posts and things other people write, I still need to write my own posts. And check them. Even with a TTS reading back to me what just wrote, I still need to manually search my posts for errors or mistakes and fix them. This, as you can probably guess, requires me to use my eyes.

While this isn't an issue (yet) for making posts about a single character that I control, it is becoming a problem when I have to write big posts for multiple individuals and their actions, and the subsequent effects of those actions. I get tired quicker, my head starts to hurt more, my mood suffers and, as a result, the quality and - more importantly - my enjoyment for what I'm doing falls.

So, to make a very long story a little less long; I believe I've finally reached the point in my RP career (and life) where it is no longer physically feasible for me to run RPs anymore. The strain put on me to keep up with and deal with several people and their actions just isn't something I can do hassle-free and without singificant effort. And while I do beleive one should put effort into their posts and write well and good (masterful writing right there), I don't believe you should do so if it becomes a physical pain/challenge for your own body to do so.

This is, of course, extremely sucky - both for you guys and for me. There're plenty more RP ideas and concepts I would've liked to make and run, but, it just isn't a possibility it seems. At least not without great pains and me going to great lengths to make it happen. Heck, even just writing this is taxing - albeit I'm not yet rid off said illness.

So, what can we do about this? Well, i can't really do much myself. There's no cure for my hjandicap and I don't know how to program AI to write for me. So, that leaves the decision up to you guys and hals. Do you want to keep going with this RP? If you do, I give you complete and utter freedom and endorsement to run and do with it as you please, but I won't be able to keep going as the GM.

If ya'll don't wanna keep going, we can just pat each other on the hack and I can give you all thanks for the support and being such good sports about this whole mess. I really wish things were different and that it hadn't come to this, but sometimes life just doesn't turn out or go where you want it.

I want to take the opportunity to say that I appreciate your patience and that I enjoyed all of your writing. Again, I wish I could keep going and have kept leading this RP to where I wanted. But, you all still have the opportunty to forge ahead and keep the story going, if you want.

While I won't be able to GM, I certainly ain't ready to quit RP'ing altogther just yet. So, I'll be around, and if you all decide to keep going with this (or just a few of you), I'll still be here and I'm more than happy to give input or information about things I had planned or whatever else lore-related or mechanics-workings of the RP you might want/need to know. Unless you just wanna go balls-to-the-walls and do whatever you feel like, that works too.

In the end, it's all up to you. I'm very sad about this turn of events and hope you all aren't too disappointed. I wish you luck and fun in whatever and whichever direction you wish to go, and hope you all have far better roleplaying experiences in the future.

Thank you all for your time and engagement. It was fun. :)
I went to the free clinic today and had myself a checkup, just to make sure nothing was actually majorly wrong. It seemed everything was in order - aside from the symptoms I'm still suffering from.

Got the whole week off though, so hopefully I should recover soon(tm). Once I have, GM post will be a priority.

For now, please bear with the lack of postage as my AWESOME bod' struggles to beat back what amounts to a common cold. It's like watching a Pro Football team struggle against a Junior League team that's being coached by that one dad who takes it way too seriously... >_>;
