Marcus Kimbly was a young man fresh out of college with a shiny new degree. What he currently is, is an overqualified, underpaid and underappreciated employee at a tech firm a few towns over from his home. He doesn't completely hate it, because it gives him plenty of time both in and out of work for his favorite side gig - catfishing. Marcus had played video games as a kid, but he never was the kind to really get into them. However, in his teens he discovered just how much money could be made through the growing gaming market, and in various ways. In his spare time Marcus writes bots to farm gaming accounts in order to resell them. He also very much enjoys pretending to be a female player in order to get both in-game and out of game gifts from desperate men. He based all his female character personas on his then girlfriend, but when she found out about everything she was so creeped out that they broke up. He continues to use her likeness for his characters because it's totally normal and healthy, Marissa!! Although Marcus enjoys the occasional gacha game, he still isn't that big into gaming and he views Thalam Online as just another money-making project. What he doesn't know is that he'll eventually become genuinely engrossed in it.

THE OUSAMA GAME | a Short-Term Horror

@Yankee Hi! I have a question about the three hour time limit of carrying out orders. Is this real time or is there a different way of keeping time? I'm GMT +8 and I wouldn't want to miss an order while sleeping, haha.

Good question! It is not tied at all to the real life time outside of the RP. The time limit is for the characters. As of right now none of the characters have a way of keeping time - with exceptions. You mentioned Orwell's watch, he can see it is currently the middle of the night (though he wouldn't know the date or anything). It's an in-game time limit so that the characters don't try and stall their way out of an order. A clock will appear for easier IC time telling eventually.

Frontier of the Dead: A Weird West Horror RPG

"Hey, it's mornin'," came a voice from just inside of Joshua's tent. The man, who Joshua quickly identified as a fellow layman, probably the guy in the next camp over, shook the canvas opening to make a little noise before Joshua grunted his acknowledgment. Morning, was it? If someone had come to wake him up he'd probably overslept. That wasn't like him. Joshua groaned and sat up rubbing his head. He recalled hearing some commotion move past the campsite in the dead of night, heading into town. Not really his concern, but it had woken him up with a bit of a fright. Took some time getting back to sleep after that.

It was a few minutes later that Joshua Addair - former local, current traveler with a stick up his ass - emerged from his litte spot outside of town where he'd been camped with the rest of his co-workers. The whole company was currently employed by the foreman (staying at the inn of course, the dick) who was in turn employed by said inn's owner to expand their lodging operations. Lot of folks coming through Longwater lately, apparently.

Joshua rubbed at his head before replacing his hat and making his way into town. It wouldn't due to be too late to the work site, so he planned to skip making breakfast for himself and stop at the general store for some dried meat. As he walked he passed some kind of gathering by an alley way. On closer inspection, it was the local law and some bystanders. Some drunk die? Or maybe something more malicious? Either way it wasn't his problem. He certainly hoped the town wouldn't devolve into a place rife with murder, but he couldn't help but think back to who or what ever had rushed past the construction company's last night...

Loud. Very loud. Orsen was very busy currently admiring himself and the new world he'd found himself in, but everyone else seemed to want to occupy themselves with screeching. The tall man sighed and turned his back to the scene when some new woman had burst onto the scene yelling and glaring at himself and the horned chick - and, wait, why exactly was he getting lumped in with her? She was pale and much smaller, plus those large menacing horns. They were pretty much opposites... unless...

Orsen reached a hand up to his head, groping around in the air for any sign of horns. Eventually his hand landed in his hair where he felt a small protrusion just above his forehead. It was probably just visible through the fluff on his head. So he and that young lady were probably the same species, and probably not one that was welcomed around whatever parts they'd fallen into.

"Whatever," Orsender sighed under his breath. Can't have everything, right? The oni continued to walk around the area, though now he felt a little... naked. Vulnerable. The dude who apparently owned the land seemed alright, but his guard dog knight was a racist, or speciest, or whatever. What if she attacked them while this 'Sirius' man was away? He thought about what the others were saying. A creepy skull creature... a mission to save or stop something... yeah, he seemed to remember something like that too. With his attention now back on the large group, Orsender didn't miss the way that even the Lord Corbain glanced at him with what the oni could only assume was distrust. Orsender bristled and considered his options. Run? They had a horse that Orsen doubted he could outrun. Start a fight? There were so many things Orsen wasn't sure of in this new world, that most likely wasn't a bright idea. If only he had some form of protection...

Suddenly the spark of a memory came to his mind. A woman, her sword. A sword! Orsen made his way back over the spot he'd landed in, and sure enough a gleaming sword with some foreign writing etched into it lay beside the crater. He picked it up, a wave of nostalgic fondness washing over him though he'd never even seen a real sword just... yesterday, or whenever he'd flung himself off the sixth story. Weapon in hand, Orsen looked back to the two area natives and couldn't really keep the glower from his face. Oh, and he definitely wasn't about to fill the craters though he'd been involuntarily volunteered. He didn't pick to fall here, not his problem.

Orsender looked at the large obelisk that the Lord gestured to. He hadn't really paid it that much attention before, but now that it was brought up... The man hefted the sword onto his shoulder and made his way over to inspect it. The Lord made it sound like it was magic, so that might be cool. As he went he called out, "I'm Orsender! Or. Sen. Der! I'm not gonna eat you or, whatever."

@Genon There's also a gorilla, rat, and more. Animal stand users are always interesting and nice to see! Also, I don't think the stand is a "complete" meme. It's ability is pretty interesting and the drawing is very cute! Battle cry is a little meme-y but otherwise I like it.

@XoXKieroBombXoX may I suggest a discord? It may help you keep organized or in contact with people (or it may not). Also may help with planning and choosing co-GM's. I will follow Pro's lead and opt-out of being a co-GM as I'm currently running a RP of my own~
