Waiting till the man had come within 2 meters, Raelis reacted only as the weapon raised and in that single moment two things transpired. First among those things was the movement of his wings, which had been at the ready before. Thrusting down at an angle, the wings sent air buffeting into the barrel of the gun, strong enough to impede it from aiming at him at all. However, the purpose of this was not singular, no as instead of remain stationary, the wind pushed him to the right (Jordan's left) and around to the man's side. As he half hovered and half slid around to the man's left flank, Raelis' blade, held in his left hand, moved to slash diagonally at the man's shoulder.

The blade had already reached 240 degrees whereas his surroundings had reached 90 degrees. It wouldn't stop there.

Me? I mean, Raelis has a sword, but no gun and his sword's not a katana.

Hey, we've got a Masquerade character, awesome. My Ghoul character is based off Ghouls from the Masquerade, though I'm not that far into the lore of it all, just played one game.

Also, there shouldn't be that much concern if your character is human level is some regards, remember T3 is only just above human, and T4 is a few steps removed. Ultimately Yoshua you can still fly, which as many past tournaments have proven is pretty much the best advantage you can have for the low-mid tier fights.

The thing is currently Raelis' resistance to heat isn't just normal human levels, it's BELOW normal human levels, which was not my intention.

I did not do a sufficient amount of research, or cross-referencing, when deciding his heat tolerance. However, thank you for that note. I don't feel particularly disadvantaged as it only truly becomes a problem if someone else overheats his armor or he has to remove his armor. Both of which are rather unlikely scenarios.

Raelis grit his teeth as the man mocked him, he was truly annoying. However, he made an effort and did not respond, the heat around him and channeling through his blade rising with each passing moment. The man had withdrawn some kind of weapon, by its make it was projectile based, but not an energy weapon surely. It simply did not look like the type of weapon that could release such a thing, then again it could be. His armor would harden as needed, though it might dent if the caliber was considerable enough. He wouldn't take any chances.

Still, the man's behavior was grating. He would have said something, but Raelis was not one to give his enemy anything to use against him if he could. Slowly he continued his advance, seemingly in no rush at all.

Entirely fair. While I presume you mean if I win the Tourny and not the battle, I'm still gonna ask. Which do you mean?

As a notable point Raelis' own heat tolerance wouldn't increase much as far as mid tier goes. It'd be around 300 degrees Fahrenheit. His armor would only start melting at about 2800 degrees, but would get hot enough on the inside at a much lower amount that it'd roast him inside it. It would mean that his environment and sword could withstand greater amounts of heat though, which would make his damage output go up. So yeah.

Anywho, I'll just keep the stuff in mind and alter it when the opportunity presents itself. Whether that be after my current battle (if I come out on top) or after I win or am disqualified from the tournament because I lose.

Doesn't really matter to me. You can choose. Especially since it's snowing and both our character's can see in the dark.

Metric Tip: Celsius was based off the boiling and freezing point of water, where 0 C is the freezing point and 100 C is the boiling point.

A Detestable Foe

It seemed he'd been quite unfortunately matched against the one person in the Hall who he found detestable, how annoying. As his translator notified him of the man's rather...crude language once more, Raelis responded, "No, I am the one who you'll be fighting. Whether you can...defeat me or not is another question in and of itself." With that Raelis sent a spike of Rhay's light through his blade. It would soon jump to 80 degrees. Meanwhile his surroundings continued to raise steadily by 10 degrees. Whether it would remain at that rate was questionable.

"Let us get this underway," he stated and then his wings swept the air downwards, sending him several feet into the air before he hit the ground on the other side of the fence on his platform. He approached slowly, Maelstrom gathering air around his wings, and the heat of his surroundings rising incrementally as time passed. From his opponent's standpoint the heat difference would not be at all apparent, but nonetheless it was there.

Although I am realizing that a normal human can hold something that's up to 100-130 degrees (F) without burning themselves and my character is listed as getting burned at 120 degrees, which was not my intention.

The intention was making his resistance about twice that of a human :T

Thoughts @Skallagrim. Especially considering I said his IRON ARMOR will start melting at 600 degrees (when the melting point for iron is 2800 degrees). Makes me feel awful dumb in retrospect, and disadvantaged because it's not accurate to what I intended lol.

I'll probably just end up changing it after this tournament unless doing otherwise is reasonable.
