Blade reaching 700 degrees, with his leg armor having charged for quite awhile (6 preps)--wing armor for just as long, Raelis' only moved as his opponent neared him. With the trails of energy no longer altogether locked to the man's form, the Asaran waited till the man attempted to plant his foot down to execute his planned maneuver. The air pressure behind the man would suddenly become a wall of air and 500 degree heat/light energy. The blinding flash would be at least distracting as the man saw it in his peripheral vision. However, that was hardly his attack for all the heat within the area, aside from his own blade, suddenly dropped below zero, particularly the heat of the ground around him. Raelis had lifted himself slightly as he preformed the maneuver, the nanites on his feet likely dissolving a space of the slime so as to afford him traction Raelis, at the exact moment that his feet touched down properly, froze all of the slime within an 8 meter radius of himself. He used the heat around his body to allow himself to not freeze the ice that would have inconvenienced him.

Any traction the man would have had would be disrupted and should his nanites bore down into the ice, it would freeze as fast as it was thawed. The actions would happen swiftly enough that Raelis wouldn't have been able to keep up if he hadn't executed them himself, and considering that his opponent's ability to follow the course of the battle appeared to work at around the same speed as his own, well it was unlikely that Khazna would be able to do anything about it. Especially since he had waited till he was committed to his swing.

Of course, Raelis was hardly done, in fact, he made a point of extending the tip of his wing towards the slash as it came down. However, milliseconds before they would have made contact, the armor on his other wing ejected off, moving faster even than Khazna's blade swing, where they would create layers of deflective shielding from various locations around Raelis' right side, which was where Khazna was attacking. The plates would continue their movement, not attempting to block the attack, but instead striking it from multiple angles and destroying its momentum outright.

Meanwhile several of the armor pieces, not a full millisecond after the positioning of the first set of armor plates, fired off, some curving outwards to Khazna's left and right, while four others aimed at both of his arms. Raelis made a point not to extend his now unarmored left wing, which was furthest from Khazna's form.

Since none of Raelis' attacks, aside from the wall of air, were magical in nature, the stalhrim would be entirely ineffective against them. Meanwhile, Raelis armor had hardened to its highest durability due to the automatic function of his nanites. THe layer of nanites on top of Raelis' continued to become denser throughout.

It was too bad for Khazna that this wasn't the end of his tactics.

He'd see if the man could predict this far.

Well the "tomorrow," of then is now today. So if you're not free today then I suppose my post is the last one we're gonna get into this fight, which is a damn shame really.

Raelis can focus in and out of aspects of his perception. It's the same as drowning out background noise. So he's aware of the nanites enough that if they become a threat he can shift his attention, but not so much that they're getting in the way of his primary target.

Also the nanites probably don't have much in regards to a heat signature, so that secondary sensory ability is helping as well.

Plus, Raelis isn't equal to a human mentally either, he's superior. Side effect of avian focus/perception would be increased processing power. If he were JUST avian it'd be different because he'd not be sentient, but since he is it's kinda required.

I'm going to write my reply. If you don't have time today, well that's mighty unfortunate. I get the feeling that, since you've had the advantage pretty much this whole time, you're going to win when he grades it.

If I'm wrong, well that'll be a pleasant surprise haha.

Ah, I seem to have immoted that point in my post. The reason his nano machines are in ravaonus hunger mode is because of the recent sword clone's construction. They only eat when they need more matter to replenish their numbers or build swords other wise you have a grey too scenrio. Also as to the number lost I only included any in the cloud. Also that would depend on the attack. As starlhim is their main component it would need to be a none elmental attack. Though I have Ben wondering how Real can see through the ash cloud of MIBs.

Raelis can't see it as much as he can feel through it. His armor's wind manipulation allows him to feel disturbances within its area of influence. So he's partially using his avian vision and hearing while also using the wind thing to sense. It's a passive so the ability is unaffected by energy absorption or disruption. His enhanced ability to process due to needing that for his superior senses and movement (flight) speeda allows him to process and discern a great deal. I'd also argue that he can easily detect the heat of anything nearby as that'd be a necessary ability for his heat transfer to work.

As to the mibs being in devour mode, that's kinda beside the point. Raelis' nanites are still replicating and they self repair. That hasn't changed. So it's a losing proposition. They can also undertake evasive maneuvers as I mentioned.

I have a day off work tomorrow. If we can speed the fight up on that day we could get a lot more done.

You know what that's my bad. While their ability to build just makes sense in case they are damaged, I realized that I was mixing the abilities of his "cloak of air," with the abilities of the nanites on accident. Nonetheless the only thing that changes is that his nanites can be destroyed by yours. However my issue is only changed because of it. The issue is those banites have been replicating for 2-3 of my posts if not longer and you made no effort to destroy them till I used them to attack. Additionally when they attacked none of the ones in the cloud approaching him should be in contact with his mibs so him annihilating them before they make contact isn't terribly reasonable.

Destroy a good portion, sure. But all of them in one fell swoop I think not. Especially since they are still replicating and are equipped with highly sensitive cameras. So they'd be able to feasibly dodge since usually their processes are largely automated anyways.

Out of curiosity are your mibs immune to most forms of attack?

Raelis nanites are both replicating and self repairing. They can rearrange matter in the same way you described your mibs doing. Aka they can and will repair faster than they are destroyed by your mibs.

Deck of Cards (Various have pre-written combat runes on them.)

Innue probably said this somewhere, but I need to know how many cards and what runes you have prepared. That or you have to write a post with him in which he is preparing the deck of cards. Also, is each written rune on the card one use, then it has to be rewritten or does he only have to prepare it once and he can continuously use the rune?

The second option is only viable if there is a decent cool down time after a card is used. By decent I mean 30 seconds to 5 minutes depending on the strength of the rune.

How far away can you write a "rune"?

Jutsu

Seal: Rift
Effect: This sealing rune has a myriad of uses, the most common being a means of transportation. By connecting the rift with a pathing phrase, two-way portals can be created between long distances. An initial sum of energy is required to write the rune, it doesn’t feed on a continuous supply, however it will deactivate after a day. If a path rune is not written, the rift will lead to a ‘void pocket,’ which has no gravity or air, the void can be used as a deadly trap to anyone without any anchoring abilities.

So you being able to keep a "rune," activate without it requiring any energy source is not okay. If you're saying it requires a set amount of energy to write (activate) and then that energy sustains it, that's fine. However, unless you're using a large portion of chakra, then it's not going to last anywhere near as long as a day. Sorry.

Seal: Leech
Effect: This seal is simple and deadly, for once it is written on a person, it will gradually begin to sap them of their spiritual and physical energies, trapping that chakra in to the seal’s written word. The leech seal can only extract chakra that passes within its boundaries, however, and thus cannot sap anyone dry without being written on one’s palms or head.

So...chakra circulates through the entire chakra system when it's not being used. So applying a leech seal would actually be capable of absorbing all of their chakra. Also, placing it on the head wouldn't do it fastest and neither would doing it on the palm. Placing it on the belly or over their heart would drain the fastest as that is where the chakra pool and the central "pump" for chakra is. How fast would the seal, at max speed, drain a person with average shinobi chakra?

Glyph: Divide
Effect: Strangely named, this glyph is actually the most powerful defensive spell among Myrowyn’s arsenal. It requires a circle to be drawn around the rune, which would then divide everything within the squared circumference of the rune from what’s outside. The ‘division’ comes in the form of an invisible barrier that cannot be breached by the corporeal. A weak point in this barrier exists exactly at the base of the barrier, where the rune is written, enough strikes from a powerful attack will break the barrier at this spot.

How much punishment are we talking in terms of this barrier failing? How many D-S rank techniques can it withstand? What about techniques which disrupt chakra in various ways?

Glyph: Gravity
Effect: This rune word means exactly what it controls, gravity. If written face-up, it will suck in everything it faces directly, with extreme pressure at close range. Treading the vacuum will make any man feel ten times heavier than they actually are. If written in an inverted fashion, the rune will negate gravity, creating a powerful anti-pressure capable of lifting grown armoured men high off the ground in an instant.

I'm going to deny this. Not because it's OP on its own, but because I feel Myrowyn is capable of too many seperate things that in combination will easily merc a great many.

Glyph: One
Effect: Once written, this rune will attune itself to its surroundings. Writing the rune is simple, and there is a trick to expanding it at will. Anyone who stands at the very center of this rune will feel as if they are one with the world, allowing greater perception of an area, or better meditation circumstances.

How great is the attunement to their surroundings?

How exactly does this technique work mechanically speaking?

Idiom: Ignorance is Bliss
Effect: This combination of Ecstasy, and Leech runes creates a powerful idiom when properly pathed, capable of turning your brightest pupil in to a vegetable in minutes. If written on the spine, neck, or head, this idiom will sap the victim of their ability to process new memories or thoughts properly. The simple effect? Short term memory loss, until the idiom is lifted.

So to be clear the effects of this ability are entirely temporary unless the rune remains on the person?

Idiom: Time-Space Paradox
Effect: Wither time, erode gravity, divide from reality, and what do you get? The time and space altering rune, which can speed up or slow down time within its field of control, depending on what order its supplementary runes are arranged in. At its peak, it can amplify the speed of a dagger to pierce through high grade armours, or slow that item down to a fifth of its initial speed.

Denied.

Idiom: Beacon of Nihil
Effect: Amplify gravity, and erode everything caught. This idiom is by far the most dangerous in speedy combat, for the minute it is unsealed, a powerful material-disintegrating beam of pure energy will be let loose in the facing direction. The beam will last for a second, maybe two, before the rune itself will evaporate. The laser beam can eat through metal with ease, and annihilate flesh instantly if caught within the first fifty feet, beyond that will leave searing burns, that are just as lethal if not immediately treated. Variants of the beacon explode on contact with anything it cannot erode.

I told you to remove the gravity rune, so I doubt this will still work. If it does, lower that from fifty feet to a 15 foot radius around it. anything outside of 25 feet will only be uncomfortably warm.

That is if you can make this work without gravity.

Idiom: Nowhere of Importance
Effect: Combine a pressure space, nullified, and altered to only leech from a vicinity, and you wind up with an anti-magic area of effect ability. The rune itself is immune to most nullification, thus saving from self-disruption, while fully disabling any and all chakra based manipulation within its boundaries. Merely standing within the area can be dangerous, as it starts to block and sap its victims of their energies.

So this nullifies energy manipulation by absorbing energy and it can do this even if the energy is in your body. That's not okay. This rune should have a medium chakra cost (A rank) to last for a set amount of time, maybe 1.5 minutes. It will only sap a miniscule amount of chakra that is in a person's body, but will sap anything outside of them fast enough to disperse anything but A or S rank techniques or specialized shit.

Idiom: Fountain of Youth
Effect: A complex and advanced variant of the time-space paradox idiom, this rune phrase created an area of focused power, where time is completely reverted, rather than slowed down or sped up. Requiring a lot of energy to sustain, this technique can be used to heal wounds that are otherwise impossible to remedy any other way. The Fountain of Youth cannot heal any injury dealt over a few days prior.

Once a day. High chakra cost.

Donning The Silver Armour

More than the two things you mention can harm this armor. They won't be terribly common things, but I feel the need to tell you that.

Clear as Water

I'm fine with his own invisibility, I'm not fine with him making the silver water invisible.

Mirror Clone

Should require chakra to reactivate. Also, why is it impossible to tell if it's really Myrowyn or not? You can't just say that and assume I'll not ask you how it is achieved.

Mapping the Landscape

He should be incapable of turning a given substance from one form to another (he can't turn earth to sand or earth to stone and vice versa etc etc). He should have limited use of other techniques while in use. I presume that is the case since it'd be harder to make his runes or use handseals when his palm is on the ground, but still.

Rise, Golem Army!

Chakra intensive. Should have a time limit if you want to use it continuously. The golems are not intelligent like clones are.

The energies in Shūrei's staff focused properly, moulding together. The staff began to glow fiercely. "I will try to make this painless," the priestess said, worry knitting her brow. It appeared that she didn't want to hurt her adversary or at least not injure her fatally. If she was forced to, she would, but otherwise she had decided not to do so.

Because if I had not said something, then I would have never known that the ability works only between Khazna's sword, which is valuable information. None of this would have become so serious if you had merely addressed the concern, rather than yelling at me for having it.

Also, I stated I was not questioning your authority, but the ability itself. You are human, as are we all (unless some of ya'll are secretly dogs...or aliens haha) so you're capable of missing something or making a mistake. Also, I try to avoid making assumptions about things, which sometimes means I need to ask more questions so I properly understand stuff that someone else might just assume is true. Only problem with assuming something is true is you could very well, and it seems people often are, wrong about their assumption.

In battle, assumptions and missteps due to inaccurate writing/reading/understanding (that your character would not have made a mistake on) is the death of you, or gets you badly injured.

Also, I've seen plenty of experienced GMs, including myself at times, miss something that makes a character terribly unreasonable. So yeah, no one is beyond reproach.

I apologize if it bothers you that I ask questions, but I honestly will not stop doing so if that act would disadvantage me in a way that nothing else could.

Basically you should think less of it as super speed and more a pseudo teleport. For Him to cut someone in half with it, he would need to get a sword behind them, make sure their not moving while doing that, then align it just so that their on his path to the sword. Honesty at that point if someone can prep that much without you moving you kind of deserve the hit.

You're a Naruto fan(I think), so think of the Yellow Flash and you'll know exactly what I'm talking about. Only without the insane range. :K

So I saw a mention of the sword thing in the description, but it didn't sound anything like this. However, that in mind it's a bit more reasonable. Granted, it's not like anyone has any way of knowing that he can do that. So it's still pretty much an insta kill.

You have two options, stick with your hang up and give up now. Or accept the fact that the GM said you can deal with him and his powers and go about the fight.

I never said I'd give up. I'm not so easy to break and I said I wasn't saying this for my benefit. I respect your position as the GM of this tournament. I was not questioning your decision to accept the character, perse, but instead the validity of someone moving at that speed given the general reaction time thing and the tier of the tournament.

This is the second time you've unnecessarily been excessively rude to me when I was just bringing up a point I felt needed to be addressed. I'll be going about the fight regardless to how ridiculous I find the ability.

However, I will say that your handling of being questioned or people questioning the abilities of characters has been...less than stellar in terms of attitude. I don't know if something is going on behind the scenes, which has got you particularly irritated or if you're just coming off that way accidentally (correct me if I'm wrong), but it seems like you're treating any dissenter as if they were an unruly child, rather than a seasoned fighter and RPer. AKA your equal in all, but the status afforded to you by your hosting this tournament.

If this is how you generally handle things, then I may have to decline the next time I am offered a place to compete among the esteemed and skilled RPers gathered here and in the rest of the arena *bows his head to you all respectfully* as I simply cannot handle being talked down to repeatedly for no reason other than my questioning something.
