The Prophecy

The first spell, which I have outright removed from my post as the AoE was far more encompassing and effective anyways, was not tracking. Though it was very fast. I figured he could have dodged it, but he would have been quite aware that the spell was unable to cause harm due to his sniffer abilities, I'd imagine.

Ego Subduction on the other hand is not something I'd expect to be dodged considering it has a fairly large AoE.

Yeah, I'on named the spell Ego Subduction. It seemed fitting.

Also, I have clearly edited haha. Hopefully this is more acceptable. I even gave reason for his having created the spell. I should probably write the spell down in a document and call that document "I'on's spellbook," haha. My apologies on the...lack of universe integrity in the previous format of the now edited post.

I'm still kind of experimenting with this magic system.

I shall correct it tomorrow as I just worked a 10.5 hour shift and biked home (I also biked to work, as I must do every time I work). So yeah. Just waiting for the adrenaline to wear off so I can sleep.

I'm fine with that timeframe shift. I just need to figure out why I'on would know such a spell. It won't be too difficult given his variety of life experiences.

Aware if the chakra that rushed forth, the priestess stretched her arm out before her, holding her palm up in a stop gesture. A layer of ice cold energy formed in front of her, glowing a faint blue. The hot air moved through it, returning to room temperature before it struck her harmlessly. Having noted the bits of earth flying towards her, she altered the constitution of the energy before her and wrapped it around herself before allowing it to separate slightly into beams, which spun around her at high speed. She moved forwards, weaving between the chunks of rock as best she could. What she didn't dodge was torn to shreds.

As she fully avoided the projectiles the shield dispersed outwards, each beam curving outwards from her form, some striking ground, others going left or right, while the last few went upwards, before curving back around and striking at Umichi from the sides and above upon all angles except forwards and backwards.

Shūrei's earlier beams were successfully blocked by the woman's efforts. She walked towards Umichi now. Her pace slow. Her expression was focused, but worried--though not for herself. "I do dislike this sort of thing," she said, sounding a bit wistful. Her staff continued to glow fiercely.

I'on is so done with Morgan's shit right now xD

Huh...well that was an interesting thing to do. Although it really shows me both I'on's magical skill, his focus, and how much he relies on magic. Actually no wait. I guess this just shows me that he relies on magic when he's pushed too much both in battle and out.

Interesting. Hopefully this has more effect than his "Calm," spell did back at the gates. It should...considering there are considerably more arcane words in it, thus increasing the power of the spells.

As a note, the projectile spell will last as long as the AoE spell is in effect, which is part of why I'on is as tired as he is. He dedicated more magical energy to the AoE spell both so it'd effect an area and so it'd continue to effect that area for longer.

It should also be noted that those spells both had more words than I included in their "thought chants". I just thought I'd write enough for the gist of the spells to be understood, but I couldn't be bothered to write "seal, restrain" or any number of synonyms for "calm" several more times haha.

Jack, Shienvien, if the speed of these spells presents an issue, please tell me, but I always intended for I'on to be a very skilled magus.
