My bit on villains refers to something that is actually in the OP itself, I would've presumed them off limits otherwise. Nonetheless it seems any sort of character is more or less allowed as long as it fits the "technically a 'hero' of myth who died long ago and is now being resurrected...hopefully for the good of man and the preservation of the world."
So this has certainly caught my interest. I love a good dark, high fantasy with plenty of freedom and room for worldbuilding hehe~

I also love collaborative world building, because in my experience it seems to craft some of the most intriguing and diverse worlds with incredible depth and care put into 'em so if there's room I'm more or less on board.

A few questions though.

Well...I didn't think I had that many questions, but oh well. Hopefully this is well received.... Oh speaking of being received. Hi everyone *waves*
Monolith Graveyard

Player Limit: N/A.
Description: An ancient place, the Monolith Graveyard contains massive metallic structures composed of many metals such as iron, steel, copper, gold, and silver. There are a total of 500 Monoliths which are evenly spaced from one another. All Monoliths are 33 meters apart and stand at a height of 80 meters, making them truly impressive structures. The humming noise released by the Monoliths may have a variety of effects, but these effects depend on the combatants present as well as their intentions and alignment. The Monoliths tend to favor whomever is the weakest or most disadvantaged and will play to their strengths, attempting to even out the match-up through field advantage. In most cases of evenly matched opponents, the Monoliths' merely hum, and the sound produces no effect other than focusing the abilities and minds of those present to a minor degree.

The Graveyard is called as such due to a new Monolith appearing for every combatant who falls through contest within their bounds. The Monoliths are spread out in 250 rows and 250 columns. Each column is 3 meters from one side to the other, As a result the Graveyard is utterly massive and gains size for every fallen combatant. Currently it is 9000x9000 meters.

Adversaries always start 60 meters away from one another. While the pillars are not indestructible, the materials that make them up attract one another and so will return to their base form and levitate to their normal location when not manipulated by other energies. The ground of the arena is mostly level and is composed of reinforced stone. The floor conducts vibrations fairly well.

Unique Traits: The Monoliths constantly emit a faint humming noise. As the intensity of events around them raises so does the volume of the deep hum. Once the both combatants have unveiled their true power or the fight has reached a level of great intensity the monoliths begin to levitate above the rock formations that typically hold them down. The structures will move slowly from platform to platform.
Name: Merelil's Mist.

Description: A small stream surrounded by massive trunks in the heart of a forest, Merelil's Mist is populated by a great many fireflies and due to the mist which is constantly emitted from the nearby cavern, it is always shrouded in a twilight no matter the time. Sunlight barely pierces through the fog, creating a mystifying atmosphere. The only other sources of light are the many, unnaturally bright fireflies which flit through the forest. The battlefield spans into the cavern network and out onto the stream and the surrounding 800 meters of land/tree and does include the canopy of the forest, where light is abundant.

Player Capacity: N/A.

Unique Traits: The mist naturally diffuses light to a degree making it easier for people to hide and lowering visibility. Additionally, this mist is laden heavily with mystical energy, often amplifying magic used. When breathed in, the mist empowers the physique of those within it. The mist constantly becomes thicker over time, but also rises into the higher regions of the forest, meaning that given time the visibility may rather randomly increase or decrease. Judge can flip a coin every two rounds (2 posts per combatant) to decide if the mist thickens or disperses upwards.

I'll do it haha. There's also the one I made for my battle with LilyGold, called Merelil's Mist. I'll pick 'em both up and plop 'em down into the battleground thread ^_^
Work has picked up (50 hours this week) and I don't know when it is going to calm own again. When it does I can continue this, otherwise we may want to cancel it. Apologies on my part.

*insert long boring boast about my hypothetical genius*

Basically, thay are meant to be foils.

He is so quiet because, -spoiler-

Dornae can dislike him all he wants, Ferrin won't give a flip. :-P

Hmm, I see. Also lol he doesn't expect Ferrin to care or be logical for that matter. In fact, the very likelihood that Ferrin wouldn't care is part of why Dornae doesn't like him.

He's selfish in a unique sort of way and it bothers him greatly.

Its possable I missed something, so I will re-read it.

On a completely unrelated note, I get the feeling you like the character of Valak. Am I just imagining it?

I mean, I don't dislike him. I wish I knew why he was so damn quiet though xD

I don't necessarily dislike Ferrin either. Just...Dornae does, in a fashion.
@Crimson Raven, no response from Ferrin or Valak after Dornae's bit (which does talk about them in a fashion)?

@Caits I've only not posted because I was waiting for further reactions to Dornae's schpiel. If there aren't going to be in any though I'll just presume that Ferrin and Valak basically ignored him or were rendered silent (or in Valak's case, he just found nothing worthy to say) and I'll respond.
Alright that leaves Neyu.

As to Kiri, with my authority as head GM and since I decided that the Mizukage was murdered, I shall divulge what Kiri was doing before her death.

Kirigakure was instrumental in the war, using their superior naval forces to harass and pillage the other nations. The Seven Swordsmen played a large part in this, leading many of the ground raids, especially the ones where armies went onto the mainland. They were a force with which to be reckoned while sailing, and still scary on land. The reason being they'd set up outposts and route water into the mainland, or follow rivers, doing all of their combat near them so as to have sources of water to attack with.

However, the previous Mizukage was not the first, she was the second. The first Mizukage was the one that lead these strikes. Shuurei's mother (the second Mizukage) was the one to create reform when the First Mizukage died in combat defending Kirigakure when forces from (whomever else) struck back at the heart of the leviathan, so to speak. That strike caused lots of damage to Kiri as a country, Le second Mizukage unified the factions that wanted to take over under aguiding force and began bringing Kirigakure back into its power...before her murder by the hands of Taraatsu, Akine - The Soul Thief.

Enter today wherein Kiri is in a state of unrest and skirmish/civil war.
