@Zapdos For the fisherman role, It's kind of expected that you'd have your little fish shop, selling your catches, rods, bait, etc. So it'd be a shop owner role as well.

I just remembered a couple of other types of shops such as the florist who sells seeds, Livestock seller, and blacksmith and carpenter can sell items too such as materials and tools. But the general shop owner would sell ingredients, foods, basic items.

And the Priest is the one who takes care of the Church, as there is always a church in game. Gotta be there every Sunday.

Hmm, alright. I'll have to think about what would be the most fun to roleplay then. I'm sure something will come to mind at some point since I already have ideas forming in my head.

I guess Harvest Moon is just a popular game! Is there anything I would need to know about the three things I may be interested in from the games to make a CS about them? I'm leaning towards the fisherman role right now, but that could change if there's something I don't know.

@Zapdos: Good on your intuition, except... Not really. Combat will exist, but it's not the centerpiece. With the limits I imposed on magic, it's harder to let mages just... Do everything at once, I guess. The fighting is also more a byproduct of circumstances; a world filled with fighting up until recently isn't going to let it go just like that.
Also... Fear not the giant with the big stick, but the man with the open mind.
Don't think, just do. I'll find a way for everyone to have their place, even if you aren't going to be tossing blows out at the enemy.

Interesting stuff. I'll think a bit more on a character and we'll see if something comes up in my mind. I wouldn't wait on me or anything, but maybe something will come to mind that'll work.

Maybe so, but if you aren't at least somewhat near the level of everyone else in terms of combat, you can't really participate much at all in a good portion of the roleplay, and the impression I'm getting is this roleplay is going to be very combat-heavy. Maybe I'm wrong, but it seems to me that combat prowess is the focus of a lot of the CSes. And if technology is at a relatively rudimentary stage (according to the OP) compared to magic, mystical races, etc. that exist, it doesn't balance out. I could be reading too much into it, but my ideas so far (and I have a few) don't seem to mesh with the other characters. Maybe I'll think of a character idea in the next 12-18 hours that works, but it seems unlikely. I'm not writing all of this to be nitpicky or pointlessly critical, that's just what I see and where I'm at right now.

Welcome to the website, RosebeltAngel! Have you written before? That might help you get an idea of what you're comfortable starting with in terms of length and what section to start with. Free roleplays tend to be a few sentences, Casual roleplays tend to be a few paragraphs or more, and Advanced roleplays tend to be very long posts. What I would maybe if you don't know what you're comfortable with is skim a few Free and Casual roleplays if you're not sure what post length you're comfortable with.

I haven't forgotten about the roleplay, I'm just having a hard time coming up with a character. Like I've said before, everyone seems to have a power and most of my ideas are for human characters. We'll see what I can come up with, I suppose.
