The weekend passed without much fanfare, not that it felt any better. Try as he might, Peter couldn't bring everyone's spirits up. Renard in particular was hit pretty hard about the whole thing, especially since it caused Sofia to leave. From what he understood, it wasn't her decisions, but he was taking it pretty hard. And frankly it pissed Peter off. Though they but heads and don't see eye for eye, Peter felt Renard was a friend. They knew how they thought, or at least Peter believed he did. But now, after all of this, seeing Renard so down and hopeless, it made Peter angry. Partly because he thought Renard was giving up, but also because it was eating at Peter's courage too. It was hard enough that they all went through it. If they threw in the towel now, what sort of heroes did they plan to be? What sort of a hero gives up just because they lost once, just because it got difficult? If Peter wanted an easy job he could've easily become a something else. A police officer or something. He didn't choose to be a hero because he thought it would be easy. He certainly didn't lose heart after he learned how hard being a hero really is.

The doctors still told Peter not to overexert himself once he was discharged from the hospital, so for the rest of the weekend Peter didn't do much aside from some shopping. He needed to replace his emergency phone since it broke. Good thing he paid for insurance for it. This time however he wasn't going to skimp out on the payment; his phone broke after one beating and getting tossed to the floor. If that's all it'd take, then he needed to invest in a sturdier phone. An invest he did: he paid top dollar for a frankly ugly, but neigh-indestructible smart phone. One made for heroes, capable of surviving temperatures up to three thousand degrees, water proof, and can stop a bullet. Sure it was about an inch thick, but that just meant it'll take a beating. He also made sure to download the emergency app and a recording app; this way with just two button swipes he can both alert authorities and start a live-stream recording to his facebook. This time for sure he'll make sure those criminals don't get away scottfree.

That monday was largely a blur. A lot of students coming by to offer their sympathies, but Peter didn't really give them too much attention. For starters despite the disaster they were still expected to follow up on their duties as students. In the country where school shooters were once a monthly occurrence, a little violence wasn't enough to excuse academic pause. Good thing too since Peter wanted to try and get his mind off of it. He almost dreaded going to hero class when he heard it was canceled. He wasn't sure what was worse; the fact that something major enough happened to cause their hardass teacher Mr. Hayes to cancel class, or that now Peter wasn't really sure what to do. For a moment he thought about ditching class and going home but he quickly thought against it; this was the perfect opportunity to put his money where his mouth was and train.

For Peter, the best place for him to train was outside of the gym where the sandpits were. There were two forms of training he did and both of them required him to use his boulder form: moving and shifting. Moving was simple enough, just turn into a big boulder and start moving. Yeah it wears him out quickly, but as long as he paces himself and doesn't go too crazy he can slowly build up his stamina. Shifting was much harder. Not only did it require him to to be able to concentrate and change his shape in more complex forms than just a sphere, but it also included his ability to shift in and out of his rock forms on the move. It was something he never really tried to improve on before. He used to think that just being able to go boulder form would be enough to deal with most villains. But now he knew how wrong he was, and with no ignorance to excuse it.

Once Peter changed into his hero clothes (Since his gym clothes shred when he uses his quirk) he took his place in the sand pits and immediately changed his shape to that of a large flat stone. The sand underneath his feet shifted as his form pushed the sand out of the way and shifted his massive weight. The first thing he worked on was shifting his form in such a way that he didn't immediately tip over. To others it looked like he was a large rectangular slab, but upon closer inspection some might see that he was more trapezoid shape at the bottom. But that was the easy part. The hard part was on the surface. It was hard to see, but Peter was trying to add some layer of texture to his shape, small groves around his body. Usually his boulder forms are fairly smooth even when he's not bothering with detailed forms. But in order to manifest more complex shapes, he needed to be able to start with the very surface.

Peter would stay on those shapes for only a few seconds before shifting out. But he barely stays in his normal form as he shifts again, trying to creature more detail on his surface, as well as general trying more complex shapes than just cubes, spheres, or triangles. With his slab form especially, he tried to slowly but gradually "bend". It's not much, but the fact he can even form a shape beyond a slab was some form of progress. So Peter would repeat that for a while: change into a boulder, shift out, change back, and so forth until he felt tired. When he did he'll give himself a few minutes to catch his breath, usually about five minutes or so.
Peter felt much better after her wiped away his tears and took a few deep breaths. It was very comforting to just let loose a little instead of letting all of his feelings pent up like that. Maybe not the most "manly" thing to do, but it felt good. Plus he got to hug Freya, so that's a win too. After the two stopped hugging he spotted Renard and waved at him. Peter wanted to banter with him, but he was obviously taking the whole situation badly. He got hurt the worse out of everyone as far as Peter remembered, and as dumb as he was to do the whole "stay behind to let the others go first" shtick, if Peter was in his position he probably would've done the same. "Hey Sparky. Not feeling too shocked are you?" A little pun to help ease the tension.

Another surprised guest appeared, Kerianne Morley. She wasn't here yesterday on account of not feeling well, or at least that's what he was told. Frankly after the disaster training, Peter had completely forgotten about her. But she didn't forget about them, and she even brought cards for them. Peter always thought get-well-soon cards were cheesy, but then again he's never been hospitalized until now either. It was comforting to have. Gabriella also handed out her flowers, which Peter did his best to be gentle with. He never knew what exactly what to do with these but he'll do his best to make sure they live a long life. Peter looked over to Kerianne and gave her a confident nod. "It's... I'm not gunna lie, it's going to be rough. That wasn't exactly the best way to start our careers. But we survived, and while we didn't personally defeat any villains, they didn't take us down either. None of us were in too much danger that we couldn't put up a fight and hold our own. Sure, our abilities need improvement. But that's why we're here, right? This just gives us an idea of where we all need to improve."

Gripping the gifts in his hand a bit tightly, Peter seemed serious again. Doubt still lingered in his heart, but also a new conviction grew. "I know we'll face them again. And I'm almost positive they plan to fight us again too. It can't be a coincidence that on the same day we go to visit that factory, they're also attacking. If it was just a plain robbery they wouldn't have bothered with so many villains all at once. At most they would've have maybe one or two just to cause mayhem and then the rest of their people would break into the vault or whatever and make a getaway. No... Those guys will be back. And we'll be ready for them." Peter stood up straight and seemed more determined than ever. He couldn't help it. Just like in middle school he saw blatant villainy and he couldn't just let himself stand idly by and let it happen just because they happen to be stronger than him. He never backed down from a fight even if he was out of his league. If they were doing wrong, than he will do right.

"I don't know when we'll have to square off against them, but we need to be ready. Work together, understand one another, and grow stronger. If we try to deal with them ourselves they'll just step all over us. But as my dad once told me, teamwork is the greatest quirk. Namean?"

Peter gave Gabby a bitter sweet smile as she mentioned coming here to visit the others. More guilt. Frankly he didn't feel his jokes were really working even for himself. He just tried his best not to look angry about it. "Yeah of course. And... Thanks." Peter followed Gabby into the hospital to visit the others. Peter was told that they were in rooms near his, and he was meaning to go visit them himself once he had calmed his nerves. But he was still nervous right now. It just hurt his head thinking about what to say or do. How could he convince them to stay strong and keep their chin up when he's barely able to convince himself? He doesn't want them to think he's weak.

Peter followed Gabby silently up to the rooms. The whole time he was trying to think and brainstorm what to say to the others, to try and lift their spirits. Something heroic, something deep and meaningful. He wanted to bust out his cellphone and look up lines, scripts, anything that could help. But words were just going in and out of his head making meaningless phrases that felt plastic and artificial. There wasn't any true emotions behind them just things he felt he was suppose to say because that's what heroes do. And then Peter saw Freya.

Poor Freya. She's had bad luck pretty much for as long as Peter has seen her. He wasn't even sure if he could blame Abby for it, but it certainly didn't help. Peter has heard and seen a lot of embarrassing and disappointing things that happened to her that made him both pity and worry about her. But how she felt must've been worse. She knows how klutzy she's been and how badly it affects her ability as a hero. He could tell from her face that like Peter, she was suffering over her own shortcomings. He understood. Peter didn't know what to do or say as a hero, but he knew what he wanted to do.

Walking over to Freya, Peter gave her a soft, gentle hug around the shoulders. He wished he could say something cool to encourage her, but as soon as he tried he started crying. He gritted his teeth; he didn't want to show weakness. But right now he just wanted show that he cared. "Freya. Thank god you're alive." He didn't have anything else to say. He didn't have an answer to the questions he was asking himself. But ultimately he wanted everyone to be alright. They might be hurting now but they're here and that's all that should matter.

It's short, it's shitty, but it's done at least. Let's breath some life back into this RP!
Annabeth smiled and clapped her hands together. "Excellent!" Walking over to Skurr, Annabeth took his hand and shook it. "I'm glad that you're going with me! We should leave as soon as possible so we won't have to come back when it's dark. Gather what you need and I shall meet you at the front gate!" Annabeth turned to the other two women and nodded her head towards them. "Feel free to follow me if you wish, I have most everything I need. Otherwise go gather what you need, and I shall meet you at the gate as well!" With one final bow Annabeth left the small shack and headed out. However she didn't get far before she noticed two strange looking folk; a dwarven woman and a foreigner. Annabeth doesn't remember seeing them, but they're too colorful to just be normal travelers! So Annabeth approached the two women with a smile and a wave.

"Hello there! You two women wouldn't happen to be adventurous types would you?"

As soon as the phone was knocked out of his hands, Peter was swarmed by birds, one in particular must've had some nasty talons as he felt blades dig into his shoulder. Immediately Peter transformed into his large boulder form and battered everything out of his way, but he was nearing his limit. Cracks formed on his surface due to a combination of his fatigue and injuries, and if he didn't use these last few minutes wisely he'd be a dead man. And he tried, he really did. But despite his best efforts, Peter couldn't catch up to the mystery villain as he chased after him. By the time he was gone Peter was forced out of his boulder form, exhausted and drained. He tried to change back but doing so nearly made him puke, his wounds bled, and he roared in frustration at the futility of his actions.

They barely managed to survive, failed to defeat anyone, and it was only now in hindsight did Peter realize those villains weren't even after them; they were here for the gear stored at the facility. Of course they were! How could he have been so ignorant? Did he really believe any of them except maybe Enterprise herself was worth being eliminated? Attacking the heroes-in-training was just suppose to be a distraction, and they all fell for it hook, line, and sinker. It just was a rough reminder as Haye's words echoed in his mind again about how they all rushed in without thinking or coordination. Sure there was some teamwork, but that was only to escape danger or try and fight, and obviously that didn't work either. So focused on fighting villains they couldn't defeat, it was a total loss on their part. "Dammit... FUUUUUUUUUUCK!

It was the weekend now. Peter was treated by doctors as soon as all of the students returned to the academy. Compared to the others his injuries weren't as severe, even the wound to his shoulder. It was mostly his own exhaustion doing damage to him so he was encouraged to rest for the night. He refused at first, but he was given firm orders to rest his body or else even with their assistance his injuries will only worsen his physical state. So he begrudgingly stayed the night, having an fitful rest until morning came. He was still angry at the situation, frustrated at his own stupidity and uselessness, and most of all worried about everyone else. He was tough; taking hits is what he does. But he wasn't sure how everyone else was handling it.

At some point Peter would finally be allowed to leave his bed, and he proceeded to grab his belongings and head outside. There he took out a hand rolled cig from his bag and smoked in peace, letting the herbs calm his nerves. Though he still had lingering thoughts about what happened, he at least was allowing his anger to subside and refocus his attention onto other things. First and foremost, he needed to check on the others. In a time of crisis like this it was important that everyone, even those who are physically healthy, had moral support. No doubt everyone has taken the attack very hard and it's important that they keep their spirits up regardless of how things went down. They were alive. They fought and survived against villains. Now that they have experienced this, they can use this opportunity to learn how to improve themselves, not just in power but as heroes.

Putting out his cig and storing it for later Peter went to wash up. He wanted to shower, brush his teeth, and eat some food. He was able to do all three though he didn't care much for the bland hospital food; a tough pork chop with a plain bun, chocolate milk, and a banana. He wasn't going to be picky though and ate it. He wondered what he should say to the others, but as he did so Peter's worries started to surface again. Thoughts of inferiority and doubt crept into his head, and he wanted to go smoke again to relieve the tension. As he walked out and reached for his stored cig he spotted a familiar face; Gabriella. He quickly waved at her so she wouldn't notice him reaching for his cigs.

"Hey Gabby! Here to visit or to pay your respects?"

Peter whizzed right into the hat of the crooked bird man. Silently Peter thanked Sofia for all of her effort; without her Peter would just be stuck on that roof with no way to help. Seeing those birds swarm her body did make him panic, but he couldn't let this chance go to waste. Her sacrifice won't be in vain! The bird man stepped on him and for a moment Peter didn't move. He was just a rock after all. But as soon as he took his foot off and got a closer look he sprung into action! In a blink Peter transformed back into his normal form, reaching to grab the birdman's beak mask. Grasping the mask with his full strength, Peter would try and rip it off as his other hand reached into his pocket and took out his emergency cellphone; he was waiting for this moment! With just a single press of a button an ear piercing screech emanated from his phone, deafening Peter and likely this birdman and his feathered fiends. It would also alert pretty much everyone in the area where Peter was at, and more importantly the school itself would be notified of an emergency and his location. He really should've done this sooner, but better late than never.

"YOU DAMN CHICKEN!" Peter then took his emergency phone to smash his face, ideally without his mask, or just around the head if the mask was on tight. He would jerk and pull the mask so this guy couldn't get a clear line of sight on Peter too, trying to take every advantage he can get in order to come out on top. More importantly, keep everyone else alive. This was basic video game logic; threaten the boss to draw aggro. No doubt that a villain would try to use Sofia as a hostage, but that would only work if Peter thought he couldn't save her from his birds. As long as he threaten this guy, he could save her from the birds by beating his face in!
There was no end to these birds! It felt like every time he crushed one, another one pours out from the hole. Killing them was easy no matter what form Peter took, but that hardly mattered due to how many there were. It was like trying to kill a swarm of flies one at a time. Sofia was at least alive and patching herself up, but Peter was running out of Stamina. Between moving around in his boulder form and occasionally going out to help Sofia, taking hits in the process, he knew he'd run out of steam before the birds thinned out. If he was by himself he could just sit there in boulder form while these birds wouldn't be able to hurt him, but he needed to keep everyone safe. Those birds could ignore him if they couldn't hurt him, or worse go after everyone else.

"Sofia! We need to get out of here, find the one controlling these birds! If we can knock him out or something that should at least keep the birds from hurting the others, just tell me when you're ready to go!" Peter kept smashing up as many birds as he could. If he could've he would try to block up the hole with his boulder form and prevent the birds from coming through it, but that wouldn't stop the swarm that already came through. Still Peter would try and fight them and once Sofia was ready he would quickly shift back into normal form before turning into a softball size stone for her to easily carry while flying. Not to mention it'll make it easier for Peter if/when she throws him at something, as he can control his decent in sphere form the easiest. He knew there were more aerodynamic shapes but he didn't know how to form those yet.

@Mangrale
Peter broke through and it was fortunately peaceful, but not for long. As he looked back through the hole to help others it seemed like everyone was still getting harassed by those birds. Worse still, a whole swarm of them were about to go to the hole. Peter had to think fast; he either needed to move and avoid getting swarmed, or perhaps try and draw their attention away from the others. At least half of that swarm was going after him; if he could distract them all then that would give everyone more time to escape. That's when he saw Gabriela spray the birds with the fire extinguisher, and that gave him an idea.

"Whoever controls these birds obviously never played pokemon!"

Transforming into a golf ball sized stone, Peter jumped into the hole as the birds were getting smoked out by the fire extinguisher. In his rock form Peter didn't need to worry about inhaling any toxic fumes, so he began to pinball into the birds, smashing into their bodies and heads. He would bounce off their bodies to maintain air, and any bird that tried to grab or peck him would get a nasty cut as he spun with violent torque, keeping the birds off of him as he tried to smash them up as much as he could.

He saw something big fly through the cloud of birds. It was Sofia and Freya, being chased by it's own bird swarm. Peter made his way over to the birds and tried to smash them up but the swarm was so dense it ended up just carrying him back through the rooftop. He managed to cull a lot but these birds were endless! "Goddamn!" Coming to a stop Peter changed back to his normal form, doing his best to cover Sofia and Freya just as Freya dove off the building! Where it not for her cat-like ability, Peter would've tried to stop her, but frankly he had other problems right now. He turned to Sofia but she wasn't in any condition to defend herself. Peter couldn't administer any first-aid right now with these birds swarming them either. So he just grit his teeth and glared at this swarm. "Alright then birdbrains! This rock is about to kill a whole lotta birds!"

Peter charged the swarm to protect Sofia, transforming into his largest boulder form and made sure to keep all and any bird off of her. If any managed to get pass, he'd even come out of boulder form just to throw them off, repeatedly going in and out as needed to keep Sofia safe. He dropped his first-aid kit into her hands too, just in case she could patch herself up in the midst of this chaos.

@Mangrale
Everything quickly went to shit.

Peter barely had a moment to put on his goggles as a flurry of action happened right before his eyes. It was almost dizzying trying to process everything at once. Random villains came out of now where and attacked the students, the teachers went on the offensive, students were trapped between enemies or separated from one another. It felt like there was a million things going on a second and Peter was drowning in the chaos. It wasn't until he was attacked by a swarm of birds of all things that he was able to focus on something at least: protecting himself. He hunkered down and covered his head; his goggles would protect his eyes as he made sure not to let any of those birds peck at anything sensitive. He would occasionally throw a fist out to try and punch a bird but that didn't work at all.

Soon Gabriela called out for Peter in between all of the squawking. She had a plan to get them out of here and needed Peter's help. He didn't have time to question what she wanted because he knew he was only good for one thing. If he was right, Peter knew exactly what Gabriela had in store so he rushed to her, grabbing her hand as he was launched through a swarm of birds and towards the ceiling. He had expected the window instead, but he could handle this too. As he was getting closer and closer Peter transformed into his boulder form, however instead of being a round stone like he usually was he took on a cone shape. "DRILL BREAK!" He roared as he began to spin rapidly towards the ceiling, burying the tip of his drill into the ceiling before continuing his spinning at an increasingly faster speed so he could break through the ceiling and give everyone a way out. And once he was out, Peter rolled off to the side and returned to his normal form, a touch winded but still alive. He looked around for any more villains, uncertain if they were out of the fire yet.
