Current Attn teeny boppers: You realize adbots aren't ppl, yes? They randomly generate login info, then execute pre-programmed posts. Your rage-spam goes unheard by the machine. And is equally annoying.

If you're going by UK conventions of knighthood/nobility, yes. It also would be pronounced like the "dam" in "madame," rather than like a Dick Tracy "daym."

Me: "Goku, thank God you're here!" Goku: "I heard a really strong guy was here! Lemme at him!" Me: "He's right there!" *Points at my Writer's Block* Goku: "... Sorry bud you're on your own."

Phoenix Wing Guild Hall Rutger Artz
Again Rutger nearly jumped out of his skin when someone new popped into their midst. Xe claimed to be the master of the guild; Rutger had heard that the Master of Phoenix Wing was a powerful user of Transformation magic, and that few people knew what they really looked like. This individual seemed to have a constantly shifting air about xem, from their voice to their stance. It was slightly off putting to Rutger, being a simple village boy from an isolated place, but he eventually gathered himself enough to speak. "M-My name is Rutger, Master." It might have sounded very formal to already call the person Master, but he didn't know what gender pronoun to use for xem. "Rutger Artz. I came here intending to join, but I'm a bit worried about what's happened here as well. There was some kind of fight, but I don't think anyone fled the building and the destruction's scale is too limited for someone powerful enough to just drag off the entire guild. It's like they were here...and then they weren't. Teleportation magic or lacrima could do that, but to so many people at once? Something still seems off."
Appearance:
Name: Tsubasa Akiyama (Western order, given name first.) Nicknames/Titles: The Red Death Age: 23 Skills:
  • Expert Swordsman - Having trained most of his life in the art of the sword, Tsubasa is quite adept with a blade. Drawback: Without a blade he's severely weakened.
  • Stealth - Becoming an assassin has taught Tsubasa the importance of stealth. He can't make himself disappear in shadows or ninja his way across buildings, but he's good at staying unnoticed and setting up ambushes. Drawback: Once noticed, he's hard to forget.
  • Agility - Tsubasa is significantly faster than the average person during activities such as running and leaping. Drawback: Brute power is lacking.
Magic: [Approved by GM] Sekiga, Tsubasa's sword, is more than a well made heirloom. In Nijiara, there are legends of famous swordsmiths and swords who were supernatural in ability, becoming more powerful the more enemies they slew, or so sharp they could cut a dragonfly that landed on their blade. Sekiga the Red Fang is one of these, bearing a special enchantment. Effect: When Sekiga cuts an opponent, it "drinks" their blood and stores it in a hollow inside the hilt. A normal wound will provide 1 "unit" of blood. This blood can be used for three different techniques. 10 units can be stored at a time. Uses: Blood Elixir - By drinking the blood in the hilt, Tsubasa can heal minor wounds and accelerate the healing of greater wounds. It requires 3 units of blood. 5 units will heal greater wounds. 7 units will heal all wounds. Bloody Reaver - A boiling wave of blood is released as a projection of a sword slash to travel roughly ten meters before it begins to fall apart. The target, if struck, is "slashed" as if with a hot blade. Requires 3 units. Blood Rot - The blood inside the hilt begins to rot and blacken. When using this technique, each cut of the sword on a target will poison them, building over time. One cut will slightly numb the struck limb. Two cuts will paralyze that limb. Three spreads numbness over that side of the body, four over the whole body, and so on and so forth. Each cut consumes 1 unit of blood, and while the technique is in use more blood cannot be drawn. Equipment:
  • Sekiga - This sword, its name meaning "Red Fang" is a well forged and well maintained steel katana that has been in Tsubasa's family for generations. It bears a dangerous enchantment.
  • Standard Traveling Gear - All that stuff required for world-wandering, like a pack and sleeping bag.
  • Extra Clothes - In his line of work, Tsubasa often makes use of disguises.
Personality: Cold, sarcastic, unnecessarily hostile, determined to the point of obsession. Seems somewhat tired all the time, with a haggard expression, but when focused or angry his eyes grow sharp and bright once more. Cares little about people and a great deal about money and status. However, in rare moments, there are hints of a great sorrow within, and it seems not all of his traits are genuine... Biography: Tsubasa's ancestors were famous swordmasters, and from the age of six he was trained in the art of the blade by his father. Tsubasa's mother, however, was a foreigner to Nijiara, and he inheirited her hair and eyes. This made him somewhat of an oddity among his neighbors, and he was treated as such. He experienced many hardships, and one in particular drove him away from the village where he grew up. To make a living he resorted to using his blade for any reason at all, regardless of what side of the law he was on. Gangs, banditry, and finally, assassination. Tsubasa eventually became well known in the underworld of Nijiara, perhaps a little too much so. It was then that he heard that the king of New Torrea had fallen ill and that the kingdom's Minister had new, questionable policies. A throne ripe for taking, a politician that people didn't like. It sounded like a ripe job market ready to burst, so Tsubasa packed his necessities and struck out on the road. Others: Often uses berry juice, crushed flowers, or other methods of dying his hair to prevent himself from standing out when on the job. Still, some of the color often manages to shine through, giving him his nickname in the underworld.
Of course! There are lots of spots open for this for people to come right in! And yes, people CAN overcome Dragon Knights, either alone or in a group, it all depends on the person, tbh.
Alright, cool. Judging on names alone, is Nijiara sort of a rough Japan-equivalent? I was thinking of making my character come from there, because he uses a katana, which makes less sense if he were to come from a country with a more western feel like Torrea.
Yeah, I got the inspiration from it, but I want this to have a more optimistic side to it. The first part of the RP would be what is seen in the prologue, and then we'll move on to more catastrophic, world menacing things. >:D TBH, I took inspiration from both DA:I and AgK.
I see! I haven't played Inquisition (that is DA:I, right?) or any of the other Dragon Age games, but I'm very familiar with the AGK manga. Due to there being only four Dragon Gauntlets, are there only going to be 4 players? If not, are there other forms of magical weaponry and/or could someone without a Dragon Gauntlet overcome a Dragon Knight?
Interested. The story so far sounds a little bit like the manga/anime Akame Ga Kill; is that the kind of atmosphere you were going for, or will this be a more optimistic setting?

Hayato
"Seriously?" Hayato sighed when Hazel turned her eyes, normally so haughty but now so...big and shiny, on him. He rubbed the back of his head for a moment before shrugging. "Alright, let's head over to the cafeteria then. I don't have much on me either though, and you're gonna owe me after this." He nodded to the others; it looked like John had headed out already to feed his summon. "See ya guys, I guess I have a "dinner date."" He made the air quotes with his fingers as he said it, fully expecting Hazel to whop him one.'
Gym - John and Thorntail
When the Summoner entered the Gym, he found the squares on the floor being used by several groups of students sparring, while other areas of the gym were being used for stretches, exercises, and drills. No one seemed to pay him any attention except for one person--and that one probably counted for at least ten of the others. The man had muscles on top of muscles and looked like he'd stepped out of a western superhero comic book. This was the head gym teacher, and one of the teachers for many of the Striker oriented classes, like Basic Martial Arts: Professor Kirby. "Hey there," said the giant in a booming voice as he covered the distance between himself and John in just a few strides. "Are you here for the extra curricular workouts?"
Fire Rat Extermination
As Taeion raced to the north, he heard the sirens of the fire department coming closer. He hadn't done anything to put out the fire himself, but it looked like it would get handled one way or another. Following the ashy trail of the rats was easy once he had gone a little ways, and the pawprints led him on a roundabout run and then through a broken window into a building where a massive ship hung overhead, still in the process of being built before it could be lowered into the bay. Scampering up the chains supporting its bulk were the fire rats, and as the metal grew hot, it began to creak and expand...
[Two Fire Rats remain!]
Hayato doesn't need any of the loot, so anyone else can take what they'd like.
Phoenix Wing Guild Hall Rutger Artz
"I don't think that's wrong, but..." Rutger began when Vincent stated his hypothesis. "Unless the entire guild was conveniently out on a job or something, it seems to me like they would have won any fight short of fighting someone very, very powerful. And if that were the case, I would think the building would barely be standing." he finished. After all, here at the guild hall there would have been multiple members of Phoenix Wing going back and forth. Surely they would have had numbers on their side if someone or something had attacked them? "Do you see any footprints or trails outside that look like they were made recently?" he asked Vincent as he continued to inspect the furniture. "If they fled or were chased by something, surely there'd be some sign of it..." Another thought occurred, but this time Rutger kept it to himself. He was here looking for work. Vincent had also identified himself as a freelancer...but hadn't said why he was here. If he was a mage himself, and wasn't affiliated with the guild, then surely he wasn't a client, was he? Then...why was he here? Suspicions began to breed in the young man's mind, but he kept his face as unreadable as he could, and made sure to be facing away from Vincent as he continued searching through the guild's common hall.
Phoenix Wing Guild Hall Rutger Artz
The traveler whirled as if he was being attacked, practically jumping out of his skin when the other man called out to him. As he did so, the doors, barely standing as it was, fell inwards with a loud thump. "Oh geez, you scared me!" the traveler said, holding a hand over his chest to try and still the machine-gun pulse of his heart. "B-but, no, I'm not a member of the guild. I'm actually looking to join up." He looked at the newcomer, tilting his head slightly. Obviously this person wasn't part of the guild either, but then who was he and why was he here? A client, perhaps? "My name's Rutger Artz, currently freelance mage. As for Phoenix Wing, I'm a bit worried...it almost seems like something bad might have happened here..." With that, he looked for the first time into the guild, and his eyes grew wide when he saw the upturned and smashed furniture. Something bad had indeed happened here, but what? Slowly, tentatively, he took a few steps into the building, and began looking around with his mouth agape.
