Current Attn teeny boppers: You realize adbots aren't ppl, yes? They randomly generate login info, then execute pre-programmed posts. Your rage-spam goes unheard by the machine. And is equally annoying.

If you're going by UK conventions of knighthood/nobility, yes. It also would be pronounced like the "dam" in "madame," rather than like a Dick Tracy "daym."

Earthland - Phoenix Wing Guild Hall Rutger Artz
"As a child soldier, I doubt you had much choice in the matter." Rutger said, after a moment of being taken aback by Damien's statement. But the man himself didn't seem bothered by it at the moment. "Soldiers in general don't always have a choice in who they fight." He glanced over towards Vincent. "He, on the other hand...even if he had to do things most people wouldn't to survive, I don't see why he couldn't have sought work elsewhere. If he left the orphanage when he was too old to be adopted, he was certainly old enough to do some kind of legitimate employment." The traveler shook his head. No need to harp on about it. It looked like Vincent was at least sincere about trying to change his ways, though Rutger still didn't trust him as far as he could have thrown him. Master Jamie jokingly asked that they help clean up the guild hall as part of their test, and for the first time since the meeting Rutger smiled genuinely. He began rearranging tables and chairs, though some that were broken beyond repair he dragged outside and piled up. As the thought of using them to make a bonfire occurred to him...so did the thought of that bonfire going out of control and destroying his new home. When he went back inside, he looked to Master Jamie and Damien. "So, while we do this...I don't suppose you have any tips for reigning in unruly magic power?"

Tsubasa
Forget learning discrepancy, she'd just murdered it in cold blood and broad daylight. Before he got a single step away from the group, Hazael dropped all pretenses and simply stated her plans to incite a complete and total civil war. Tsubasa sighed, looking up at the sky as if praying for patience, his hood finally dropping away to reveal his red hair in its true intensity, and his cold, narrow gaze that he now turned back upon the female knight. "You know what? Okay. Sure. I'll just go ahead and be crazy too." he muttered, before stepping back to the woman. "Look, if you want the whole root of this problem dead, for high ranking politicians my rate is two hundred thousand before expenses, half up front. Give me a week, and I'll give you Donat's head."

"Really? Just like that?" Rutger said, when Jamie asked them about the guild mark and Damien seemed happy to accept them both. So much to take in--they had another God Slayer in this guild? They were willing to accept him? Moreover, they were willing to accept Vincent, after everything he'd just confessed to? "There's...there's no test? You don't even want me to demonstrate anything?" He had thought that there would at least be some sort of paperwork. Did this guild really just take in anyone? "I mean, I'm very thankful that you're willing to accept me...and while I don't really approve of letting an assassin in, I trust you've made that decision with something in mind...but I'm just a little surprised, I guess. Finding out that there's another god slayer here as well...geez..." He rubbed his head and looked down at the floor, before sighing. "But I suppose I shouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth. If you're still willing, Master, I guess I'd like the Guild's mark on my right forearm." He pulled off his leather glove and pushed the sleeve of his black shirt up to his elbow, exposing the pale flesh of his arm. Being up in the snowy mountains all one's life meant not getting a lot of sun, unfortunately.

Tsubasa
The lady knight seemed to completely miss his meaning. Or, if she had responded to it...he couldn't quite decipher it through the spiel about the monster. Was this mission just going to be some kind of test, to collect capable fighters? 'Nex' asked if he could give him a nickname. Tsubasa showed his teeth in an angry grimace. "No." he said simply. Quite frankly he thought the other fellow was insane. From his ragged clothes and general attitude, he must have been some kind of simpleton. What on earth had possessed him to try his hand at hunting monsters? Then people started crawling out of the woodwork. Tsubasa was hard pressed to analyze them all, his eyes darting back and forth rapidly. He stepped just far enough back to let that flying fruit the observant woman threw at them go past him--but it turned out he needn't have bothered, as Nex unleashed some sort of black magic in broad daylight. A mage? How could someone so seemingly mental have abilities like that? And he wasn't the only one. Another man materialized in a flash of blue fire, almost prompting Tsubasa to draw his sword. If he hadn't had so much to react to already slowing down his thought process, he would have likely cut the man in half. As it was, he managed to stop himself before his blade had cleared an inch from the sheath. Finally, the assassin gave a groan and crossed his arms. "It looks like you've got more than enough volunteers." he said to Hazael. "As this isn't my specialty, I'll withdraw for the moment. If you have another job that requires more...subtle skills, I'll be staying at the Dragonclaw Inn for a while. Ask for Kojiro." That was the fake name he was using at the moment, though he doubted the woman had any way of knowing that. He also had doubts as to whether she was going to see what he actually meant. As he turned and began to walk away, he sighed. If these people wanted Donat dead they were going to have to learn how to be discreet about it--and how to listen when people were being discreet to them.
Hayato
"I wouldn't mind being the best." Hayato said, taking another bite of his burger. He chewed and swallowed, wiping the corner of his mouth with a thumb, before continuing. "But for me, it's a means to an end. A Rank, SSS Rank...I'll be whatever I need to be to find Rikuto." He looked at Hazel for a moment, taking careful stock of her expressions. "But, I guess you don't really need a reason. Having a lot of drive is a good thing, and of course doing well here means doing well in the future, too." He decided to change the subject. "So, what did you think of the mission, earlier? Obviously you said it was boring, but I mean, the team? Anybody in that group strike you as a candidate for future team ups?"
John
"Just tell them about your own experiences." The teacher pulled up a holo screen and looked at John closely for a moment. "Your profile says you've got one contract, right? Maybe tell them how you contracted it, how the relationship between you and the beast works, how you fight together, etc." When John examined the True Summoning ritual, he could tell that it was meant to summon a Sylphid, a weak level of Exbeast associated with the Wind element. "Hey, what's up?" asked one of the students sitting in the stands. "Are you a Summoner, too?"

Moving through the bustle of the city slowed him significantly; by the time he got to the gates, there was already someone speaking to the well-dressed woman with an overly large blade who must have been the contact. The poster had said she was a knight commander or something of the sort, and despite her slight frame she did have the look about her of one who had seen a lot of combat. The sword at her back had been well used and well maintained. The other person talking to her looked to be a young man with a...somewhat disturbed look to him. Tsubasa slowed his gait by a half step, using the extra time as he walked towards them to analyze the area. He took note of every entrance, every exit, every door to every building. Which street was most crowded, which was empty, which nook would hide him and which cranny would give him away. Someone was sitting on a bench, appearing to read. But their observation skills weren't half bad; he'd used that method himself a few times, and it required a great deal of subtlety. Competition...or perhaps, the news that he was being targeted had already reached Donat, and he had dispatched some of his own agents? Though his eyes were hidden beneath the rim of his hood and the white, puffy fur lining around it, Tsubasa kept the observer in the corner of his sight as he approached Hazael and Nex. "'Scuse me. I'm here about that same flier." he spoke up, loud enough for them both to hear him. "I'm not that great at monster hunting...but I'm good at getting jobs done." He looked meaningfully at Hazael. "So, care to explain a little more about this job?"
Earthland - Phoenix Wing Guild Hall Rutger Artz
Rutger reigned himself in immediately, crushing down the leaking power into the pit of his gut until he felt nauseous. Of course. He didn't have a lot of room to talk. The Slayer magics...even after a hundred years, when the world was finally beginning to recover from the stigma against magic, the art of the Slayers was now seen as a dark, dangerous magic above all. Phoenix Wing was not the first guild he had been to, and Magnolia not the first town he had passed through. Everywhere else, he had been turned away once they knew of his magic. Would Jamie do the same? Would he once again be turned out and left to wander, until the power became too much and he finally destroyed himself? "I...I didn't learn this magic with the intent to kill or destroy." he said finally, mustering up his courage before he looked at Vincent. "And that's why I'm here now, seeking a Guild to teach me to control it. But you, you let yourself fall into darkness. No wonder you think everyone's rotten--that's all you've ever seen of the world! What was stopping you from leaving that orphanage and, instead of delving into the underbelly of the world, just going and seeking normal work like everyone else?" The strain of controlling his magic made him stop for breath, but Jamie took up where he left off...and then, there was a surge of energy somewhere else in the building. Rutger looked up as a new man appeared, one who seemed to know the Master. They must have been another Guild Member, using a transportation Lacrima perhaps? "Um, I'm Rutger, sir." he said to Damian. "I promise I didn't have anything to do with all this. I came here intending to join, but I found all of this. From what we can tell so far, there was some kind of fight with...a woman, you said Master Jamie? And after that we don't know. But if you and the Master both got here via transportation Lacrima, that must mean they're fairly common in this guild, correct? Could it have been some kind of wide range use of the lacrima, or a malfunction?"

Earthland - Phoenix Wing Guild Hall Rutger Artz
"People are rotten by nature?" Rutger said in disbelief. "How are they rotten for judging you for your crimes? You're afraid of being judged?" The traveler clenched a fist in sudden, hot anger. "Are you not aware that "murder" is considered a crime for a reason? Being judged? Of course you'll be judged! That's how society works, criminals are judged and punished for their crimes! To say that people are rotten because of that?! Aren't you just playing the victim, and refusing to take responsibility for what you've done!?" As much as he normally held it back, in the rush of his fury he couldn't stop the black flames from sizzling on top of his clothes. They wouldn't burn him, the caster, and it was only a shimmer of power tight around his body, but the heat was palpable even from a distance. "How many rotten people have you actually met in your lifetime!? Count them!" Rutger demanded. "There are more than 17 million people in Fiore alone, much less the entire world! Have you met every one of them?!"
I just sort of half-puppeted Ryouta to get everyone back to AcadeMMO, hopefully Numbers will be okay with that.
Hayato
"Score!" Hayato said with a laugh as he pocketed Hazel's number. He expected she'd hit him for that too. But once things had settled down again, he'd ask: "And what about you, Hazel? What's your reason for wanting to be the best? You're already, what, A rank?" Just then, the doors burst open, and Taeion walked in. Hayato raised an eyebrow as the normally lazy boy walked over to make his order. From the smell of smoke around him, he must have just come back from an assignment. The Indolent Ninja took Special Assignments?
Cockatrice Hunt > AcadeMMO
When Ryouta eventually brought out the Sprite and activated it, the group was teleported back to the school, their mission completed. With a beep, the holoscreen in the telepad room informed them that the rewarded Academy Credits had been deposited into their accounts. It was about half past five in the evening, and the sun was just starting to get low in the sky.
John
"Oh, so you're here about the tutoring!" Professor Kirby said. "A Summoner, eh? Just what I needed at the moment, actually." He pointed over to several students in robes in the corner, most of whom were sitting in the stands watching while another stood in one of the sparring zones. The "Cage Fight" setting had been activated, raising a holographic barrier. The green, transparent cube seemed to only be made of light, but was strong enough to withstand the power of most Skills and Spells. Inside the sparring ring the student had placed a large sheet of paper with a complex rune on it. This was a True Summoning ritual, a magical process to directly create a short-term rift to Excaledvol and call forth an Exbeast. Only students who had help from the teachers would be able to cast these, as it was an incredibly complex ritual, and couldn't be used normally. "Those students are all Summoners, but because they're freshmen, none of them have contracted an Exbeast. We only know they're summoners in the first place because of the results they got on the Magi Placement part of the entrance exams. Could you walk them through how to properly contract and control an Exbeast, and stand by in case anything goes wrong with that summoning?"
