Dareen Kahina

Dareen crossed her arms. "Alright, fine. Just don't drop me- woah!" She wrapped her arms nervously around Denvar's neck and she tried not to look down, but ended up looking down anyway. They weren't that high up, but a fall from this distance would be enough to put her out of commission for the rest of her life- if not kill her if she landed poorly.

She became soaked, and while her hood and baggy clothing gave her some protectiong, the Pruulish woman was drenched in rain by the time they got up there. It wasn't a feeling she was used too, the way her clothes stuck to her skin and the way the humidity clogged up her breathing. Ugh. Dry, blazing heat, she could handle, but this was miserable.

Finally, they came to the door of wherever she was being taken too. Wary of her surroundings, Dareen was looking over her shoulder at the pathway behind them when the door opened. There was a woman, another Eryien with wings. So many wings, it was almost enough to make a girl feel left out. Almost. She always found the additional appendages a bit...unsettling to look at.

The Reaper, the woman said. Yeah, Dareen thought. Xandar Markov. The Reaper. He was a wanted man, wasn't he? Probably for sleeping with someone he shouldn't have, or something to that regard. From where she was standing, Xandar could easily been one of the Queen's angry goons. Still, it's not like Dareen was too much different. Her pockets were lighter every day, and the thought of poverty made Dareen anxious. She pushed the dread away and focused on where she was.

Dareen obliged the woman, and plopped herself down on the couch. She eyed the Eryien woman up and down. This place was nice, if minimalistic. Dareen thought though the woman did not wear her wealth on her sleeve, it was hard to hide it when one had access to such real estate. There were plants, herbs, and paintings everywhere, trying to make the place as comfortable as possible. Dareen surmised this person was a Healer. Clearly one with influence on the town below.

Dareen scoffed at Faeril's question.

"Explain? Explain what? I was minding my own business when your people kidnapped me." She complained, the annoyance obvious in her voice. The annoyance mostly grew from Dareen's confusion and disorientation. Suddenly, she was no longer in control of her life, and was being bossed around.
getting a post up tonight!
well!

what happens now?
@NorthernKraken yeah, she did. But that's totally irrelevant to the actual game, isn't it? that was just roleplaying. but in the canon that would just make Niels more suspicious, but again it doesn't matter.

Okay, did anyone outside of Niels get antagonist on Lauren? I think April and Ana haven't revealed who they investigated yet.
did April get antagonistic on Niels? if so Lauren will vote for him, too. If not, well, i dunno what.
Here she is. We need cooks, medics, and archers and the like, but I guess I'm kicking things off with a front-line fighter. Let me know what you think, and if I should change anything.

Yasaliah Josk: Pilot

The Satasi raised her eyebrows at Tony. Yasaliah let everything else he said slide, not bothering to comment on it. She cared not if this child only spoke in some alien language."Twenty six, huh?" She looked Rendyl up and down with suspicious mirth.

"You guys are gullible. But like I said, it's not my business. I'm just paid to sit around and look pretty...and save everyone's asses all the time." Josk raised her bet on the table, still having no idea what her cards were. The pilot was leaning back, obviously relaxed. Her index and middle finger rested on her cards, and she dragged them in a circle over the surface.

Taking another puff, the woman blew the smoke over her lips, letting it dribble slowly out and into the air. She tapped the ash over the tray. Her attention once again returned to Rendyl. For one who claimed to be so unconcerned about her, Josk was poking and prodding at the silent one.

"Yeah. You got any money? We don't play for free here on the Marauder. We play for keeps. If you don't got cash, you could bet, oh, I dunno, your hat." She smiled, pointing at Rendyl with the burning end of the cigar.

"Hey, if you wait long enough, I'll give you whatever I win from Astrid. I'm generous like that." Yasaliah had an endless supply of what she viewed was witty remarks. Pleased with herself, she rapped her knuckles on the table impatiently, wanting the game to continue.

Dareen Kahina

The witch gasped, her eyes widened and her hands flew to her throat. Her feet kicked uselessly in the air and her face began to turn a shade of red. The man began to monologue, fear and adrenaline muted his words. As she tried to breathe, she make throaty, throttled noises. She looked at him, her face twisted into fear, anger, defiance, and an almost imperceptible smugness within a cocked eyebrow. Thoughts came and went, but one particularly satisfying came into focus. 'Knew it.' Still, it was fleeting comfort.

Eventually, he saw fit to release her, and tossed her like a ragdoll out the front door. Rough hands came into contact with her as she was caught by a goon of some kind standing in the door. Pushing herself off of him and staggering outside, she quickly gathered up the weapons that he threw after her. Fucking pig, she thought to herself, breathing in deep.

"You're wrong," she murmered quietly in Pruulish. "Xandar Markov, you are like every single man I've ever met." She wiped her mouth with the back of her sleeve and composed herself. Clearing her throat, Dareen straightened her back and was on her feet as Xander stepped out the Winged Boar. Her eyes were narrowed and her posture was tense. Okay, Xandy. I'll play along. Still, she was having day dreams of gutting him in his sleep already. But best not to act on it, now. Bafoonish as he was, a proud Warlord Prince's ire was nothing to be scoffed at.

"Fly?" She leaned to get a look at the man behind Xandar, and followed his fingers to the far away building. Of course. Fast as it was, being picked up and carried was one of the most vulnerable and defenseless positions one could be in. Just as bad as being chained up or imprisoned. She didn't trust these people as far as she could throw them. But of course, Dareen was no longer protesting. She was still acting confident but Xandar had effeciently cowed her into following his lead. One good thing is that she probably wasn't being coerced into some dark alley-way to be jumped by some mugs. That place up there looked quite important.

"Shouldn't we wait until the rain passes?" She said, concern in her voice. She'd never been flown anywhere before. If winged wonder got zapped with lightning, they'd all come crashing down. It was looking like Dareen had less and less of a choice.
