Here's my paladin. Now we have three armor fighty guys if this one gets accepted...oy vey. Idk. You can pick Vess or Nuri if you want. Hell I could even make a Wand or a Cup if you wanted. Idk I just want to get in.

Nuri Tajra

• Name: Nuri Tajra
• Age: 24
• Gender: Female
• Race: Human
• Rank: 6 of Swords
• Appearance: A beautiful woman with bronze skin, dark brown eyes, and neck-length hair usually swept over to one side underneath a hood. Nuri has an athletic, muscular build, standing at about 5'10. Casually she wears clothes reminiscent of her southern, desert-dwelling culture, showing plenty of skin while still being practical. She has plenty of pouches and straps, even her casual clothing having leather armor on it. She's also often seen with her companion Eagle, Talun. The mark of Reon resides on her left hip, underneath where her shortsword sheathe is. On the other hip is a tattoo of three names in a script foreign to Estival.
  
  Her armor is made of form-fitting steel and red cloth. It's stylized, perhaps overtly so for more conservative tastes, but still effective and well balanced, allowing for full range of movement. As well as being plenty intimidating, as when she uses her Divine Solar Fire the red plume trailing behind her helmet is enchanted to ignite itself.

• Personality: A rambunctious young fighter with a penchant for getting into a little too much trouble considering her occupation. Not exactly the picture of piousness, Nuri is fun-loving and charismatic. She's an empathetic and sociable person, who enjoys meeting new people and making friends. Outgoing, extroverted, yet down to earth and humble. She has a good sense of humor, often attempting to crack wise, and is able to poke fun at herself. Nuri has a very laid back, live and let live mentality. Nuri enjoys good drinks and good times.
  
  Nuri takes good care of her weapons and armor, if nothing else. When alone, she practices playing her lute or refining her artistic skills. Caring for Talun, a free-spirited Eagle that shows up whenever he wants, is also something she enjoys. He is not her pet, but rather a wandering companion. Usually he is close by and drops in to say hello at his pleasure. Occasionally, he'll join her on hunting trips or bring her caught rabbits.
  
  Don't let appearances decieve you, though, Nuri is as fiercely devout as any paladin of Reon. Undead will recieve her final mercy, and necromancers will be allowed one chance, and once chance only. Due to her past, slavers in particular will have a hard time escaping punishment. But when it comes to metting out justice and performing her clerical duties, Nuri is very by the book. Her duty is the one thing she takes very seriously. Slackers don't have a place among the Reonite elite. When it comes to battle, Nuri is brave yet practical, and goal-oriented with excellent leadership qualities. Usually she's able to bring the best out of her fellow adventurers both on and off the field.
  
  Nuri is a shameless thrillseeker, and wouldn't be throwing herself headlong into the most dangerous situations if she didn't get at least a kick out of it. After all, its right there in the name. "Adventurer." Not "Solemn Duty-er." If someone is in this profession and isn't having a good time, they need to re-evaluate their life choices, if you ask her.
• Brief Backstory: Nuri was born in the deserts to the south, in a prosperous oasis and river city. Her mother and father loved her very much and, when Nuri wasn't in school or working, they encouraged her interests. Physical activity, playing music, learning how to draw, and learning how to fly. For a good portion of her youth Nuri was convinced she would build the worlds first flying machine. It never came to pass, but this interest transitioned into that of birds of prey. She and her brother would often go out and explore.
  
  When Nuri was 12, she and her family's home was attacked, and they were kidnapped by slavers. For three long years she toiled and suffered. One by one, she lost her family members until she was all alone. At her lowest point, she moved a while away from her captors knowing that when they found her she would be punished for trying to escape. She looked up at the sun and hoped to die from heat stroke. When she opened her eyes next, a paladin of Reon, gleaming and brilliant, towered over her. It was on that day her captors were destroyed, and it was on that day she found her freedom once again.
  
  To her there was no other option- she wanted to be a paladin. Never would she allow an injustice such as the one that came upon her befall another family.
  
  Thus she began to train. At first she was stoic, serious, hardened. She threw herself into her training to cope with her grief. But overtime she began to open up and become her fun loving self again, as her scars, physical and mental, began to heal. Her career as a paladin was a few years long, but her old wanderlust began to creep back in. Perhaps the Church is more forgiving of her antics because of her past. But she didn't want to embarass them too much either way, so she struck out and joined the Adventurers Guild to start really having some fun, do some good, and make some cash along the way. What would she do with the cash? Not sure. Keep her stuff maintained and probably give the rest away to the needy.
• Equipment:
  
  Burning Longsword: Her signature weapon. Sleek, elegant, refined, infinitely lethal. Two handed, this perfectly balanced, finely made weapon can be used to great effect. On its steel are divine symbols of the sun. As if Reon herself has blessed the blade, it ignites and becomes searing hot. Hot enough to slice through steel and monsterous flesh alike. Undead particularly crumble to ash by merely standing too close.
  
  Stalwart Armor: Enchanted, well made armor of a Reonite Paladin. When hit hard enough it sparks, releasing heat and exploding outward. It's incredibly resilient, designed to tank blows when Nuri decided not to defend herself and just keep attacking. It's extremely well balanced, its weight distributed nearly perfectly among her strong body.
  
  Shortsword: A curved shortsword of more obviously southern design. A curved blade for when things get dire.
• Skills:

Master of the Longsword: Nuri is well-trained and well-experienced with her longsword. She has a particularly fast and offensive style. Moreover, Nuri uses ever inch of the weapon, not just the blade. She's mastered unorthodox techniques, such as grabbing the blade with one hand to guide thrusts with more power and accuracy. Sometimes she grabs the blade by both hands and swings the handle around like a hammer, allowing crushing strikes. Pommel strikes, jabs, the Longsword's versatility is on full display when wielded by Nuri. It makes her strikes all the more unpredictable.

Hand to Hand: When push literally comes to shove, Nuri is no slouch. She is a master of hand to hand combat, able to restrain, strike, and incapacitate her enemies even without a sword. While out of her armor she is an agile fighter and grappler, and while it in she is more than capable of bowling her enemies over or delivering devastating wrestling moves.

Courage: Nuri's mind and spirit are bolstered by heavenly resolve. She is immune to fear and heavily resistant to mind control or other mind altering effects. This courage is infectious, and her allies will be granted resistance aswell. Especially if they are closely bonded with her personally.

Flameburst: Nuri gains a burst of offensive speed, leaving a trail of fire in her wake. She can even use this to run up and launch off walls. She can also use this while suffering great falls to reduce fall damage. Finally she can just run straight into someones knees to knock them over. She can even use this ability in mid-air. She can do this about three times, roughly every hour. Or every time she rests for a short while and catches her breathe. She can do it more than that but it puts strain on her body. The most she's ever done without taking a break is 6 under safe, practiced conditions.

Tactical: Nuri is a tactical thinker and works well with a team, trying to account for her and her teammates strengths and weaknesses in order to achieve the most optimal outcome.

Charismatic: Nuri is great with people, able to persuade, decieve, and even occasionally seduce to get what she wants in order to avoid direct conflict or just find things out. Nuri is a people person and she's easily trustable.

Animal Handling: Nuri is good with animals, especially her companion Eagle Talun.

good news! i was a bit blue about my chances in this RP, but, ive come up with a character i think will make a good, charismatic paladin. @VitaVitaAR

What are the Reonites' rules on party animals? lol. is there a strict lifestyle they have to lead? I'd also like to know more about cool firepowers or particular religious stuff. other than just anti-slavery, which is badass, because slavery is super lame.

Sakura strained a bit from the effort. Man, Bella was heavy! Did she weight one thousand pounds or something?! She wouldn't say something that rude aloud, though. Bella said something in French, and Sakura gathered it was a thank you. Merci means 'thank you' in French. Sakura set Bella back to her feet, and was blissfully unaware of any of her inner turmoil. She just liked helping her friends.

The street fighter didn't feel nearly as bad about hurting these weird fish monster. The Abyssals were humanoids and she knew some of them could be friendly if Friend Hearted. These guys just looked like brainless monsters. Sakura freely batted them and kicked them away, blasting them with her cannons when she got the chance. These cannons were punchy and satisfying to use. Arashio had a good arsenal, thats for sure.

Sakura flinched at Geralt's brutal victory, her mouth puckering. He wrapped an eel head in wires and cables and then blew its damn head off! "Oooohh! Dang, Mister Geralt!" Sakura says. "That was- phew! Oof!" She slapped the sides of her head and gave a thumbs up.

Sakura turned around. Things were...really gross. Around shippy. The fish were having a feeding frenzy. There was lots of blood and gunfire and tearing of flesh. "Ugh!" Sakura turned her eyes away, hoping she wouldn't have to deal with that.

Nadia did something very gross and cool that caught Sakura's attention. Her attention was briefly rapt by the epic encounter happening ontop of the mountain. Nadia did something awesome, Bowser was there, Cadet was there. Big purple guy was swinging his arms around. Sakura gasped and covered her mouth as Nadia, her fellow crazy cat lady, was tossed into the air and about to be made into mince meat.

That was when Bella came in with the save! She blew the tentacle apart with a perfect shot. "YATTAAA! You're the best! You did it, Ms. Bella!" Sakura cheered, grabbing onto Bella's shoulder and hopping up and down.

Bowser and Cadet were the only ones left at the top. Tentalus was there, too, and Sakura wasn't sure what to do about him. She got the impression that Bowser probably wasn't going to try and kill the monster child, and would probably for a Friend Heart. He was, after all, a cool dad kinda guy. Even if he did kidnap Princess Peach all the time in the games.

There was, however, a big bone fish attacking Shippy. That probably wasn't ideal! But with Rika back on Shippy, Sakura was the only one left to help defend the two artillery fighters. Bella and Geralt were obviously very powerful, but they did their best work when they could concentrate on using their big cannons. That was why Sakura would stick around and escort them. Just like in those old war movies her dad used to watch.

@VitaVitaAR Well, okay. I will rework it though since I was looking forward to playing someone like Vess.

Okay as I was writing this someone just submitted a character that is similar enough to my first paladin idea. It was literally a gentle giant Ingvarr, haha. Now I will just be reworking Vess until she is a paladin, I guess. I don't know. I might have to take a bit since my momentum for joining this RP just shattered against a wall and I have to start from scratch.

Vess

• Name: Vess
• Age: 24
• Gender: Female
• Race: Human
• Rank: 6 of Coin
• Appearance: A beautiful young woman with white skin, pale blue eyes, and silvery brown hair tied into a bun, a large strand framing the right side of her face. Vess has a slender frame, standing at about 5'6. She wears form fitting black clothes with baggy scarves and hoods over it, she protects her mouth and nose. She is lined with tight leather straps, satchels, and pouches.
• Personality: A well-meaning, extroverted trickster of a rogue. Vess isn't above crime, as long as whoever she's stealing from has it coming. (I.e- rich.) She likes to think she has a good sense of humor, and she loves meeting new people and making friends. Vess has a love for theatrics and dramatic entrances and exits. Vess is a thrillseeker, going on adventures for both the money and for the fun. She'd never say she's a hero but she is also quite altruistic with her intentions, not keeping the majority of her earnings.
  Charming, sociable, and empathetic, she's not exactly what you might imagine when you think of a rogue dressed in all black. Still, she loves sticking to the shadows and exploring dark places. Vess is relentlessly courageous, always willing to go first and take dangers head on...from behind. Vess isn't afraid to get into a fight but she's not a very violent person, and she's also not very skilled at straight up conflict.
• Brief Backstory: Vess used to be a part of a travelling circus. She was born and raised by performers and surrounded by colorful, bombastic outcasts of all kinds. She learned to be a gymnast, a bard, and she took a particular interest in close up magic. It was a hard life, but a fun one. From her time there she learned not to judge a book by its cover, and even the strangest people get the benefit of the doubt from Vess. Including the more monstrous races, given several were members of the circus. As they were travelling far north, they were attacked by a group of viscious bandits. Vess' family was killed in the battle, and the circus was scattered. In the madness, Vess found herself alone and orphaned. She got lost, and continued north. She made it to a dark elf settlement. From when she was ten, until she was thirteen, she lived by herself. She put her circus-learned skills to good use, scavenging, begging, performing, stealing for money.
  
  Eventually she was found and taken in by a school for Dark Elvish assassins and thieves. When she wasn't there, she was living at a nearby orphanage that they assigned her too. It became her life. The Head Mistress was strict and stern, the weather unforgiving, but her belly was full and her heart began to mend once again. It was here she learned to become an adventurer, a skillset related to Coin. There she trained and performed various tasks of dubious legality.
  
  When she was 21, she graduated, and returned to her homeland of Estival and found her way to the Adventurers Guild. She became the patron of several orphanages in Venne. Most of her earnings go to various charitable causes. Vess has little need for gold outside of resupplies, a decent roof over her head, and occasional luxuries. She's an adventurer for the fun of it.
• Equipment:
  
  Tools of the Trade: Lockpicks, pliers, scissors, a mirror set on a handle, a file. Anything a thief could need for opening chests, disarming traps, and getting into places they don't belong.
  
  Billy Club: Both a tool for prying things open and for breaking kneecaps.
  
  Climbers Kit, Custom Pitons: Durable hemp ropes. Heavy, sharp pitons for tying off ropes and getting up and down hard to reach, natural formations. They also make lethal daggers.
  
  Smoke Bombs: High impact smoke bombs that create a thick cloud of smoke very quickly.
  
  Flash Pellets: Disorienting pellets to be thrown at enemies.
  
  Boot Knife: A small knife in her right boot.
  
  Magician's Kit: She leaves it at home. Playing cards, tarot cards, dice, trick cups. A lute.
  
  Sleeping Powder: Throw this in the face of someone who's unconscious, or nearly so, to keep them unconscious for 24 hours. Turns any knock out blow into a beauty nap!
• Skills:

Shadow Strand: Vess's most recognizable tool, her signature ability. She possesses the ability to control a Shadow Strand, a self-made technique based on Dark Elf magic. From her body she can produce 100ft of an inky, pitch black string, or rope. It's highly durable, and can stick to any surface. It's nearly silent, the only noise it creates sounding like a low note on a cello. She can separate it into multiple pieces and use it like normal ropes. Any Shadow Strand left in the open disintigrates in 24 hours, or 3 hours, if its direct sunlight. It's strong enough to carry more than her own body weight. It's an incredibly versatile and useful tool. This is her primary weapon, as well, the Strand useful for disarming and tripping up enemies. Especially if they are already distracted by a teammate.

She can even use it to make a lethally accurate slingshot/crossbow, embedding a Piton within it and firing the bolt out at killer speeds. It's sticky, viscous nature allows her to bind things to other things, including someone's mouth shut, or someone's hand to a wall.

Shadow Sight: Vess can concentrate and see in the dark or through smoke. Her eyes turn a little red when this happens.

Acrobat: Vess has perfect balance. She can do backflips a plenty and one handed hand stands. Scaling walls and high, narrow places is easy peasy. She was taught this in the circus and has been doing it since she was a kid.

Infiltrator: Vess can walk silently and quickly, and knows how to avoid detection. She's learned how to scout places out, notice patterns, and knows the psychological mindgames on where people look, and what they do and do not notice.

Sleight of Hand: Vess has excellent hand-eye coordination and has learned a variety of skills in order to accomodate this.
-Lockpicker: Dark Elf techniques were passed onto her on how to pick locks and bypass security.
-Disarmer: People like protecting valuable things. Vess likes valuable things. She was taught by the Dark Elves how to detect and disarm traps of all kinds.
-Pickpocket: She learned this one on the streets- how to snatch items from someones person without them noticing.
-Close up Magic: Close up magic! Card tricks, ball and cup tricks, all that good stuff.

Silver Tongue: Vess has a natural charisma about her. She can turn up the charm to decieve, persuade, or even seduce her targets. To compound on this, she's great with a lute and has a nice singing voice.

Street Fighter: Vess is skilled in combat, but isn't a hard hitter, and can be outdone by even adaquate fighters and martial artists. She's better than your average guard or orc. But instead, she focuses more on confusing, disrupting, and outsmarting her opponents with tricks.

Assassinate: Though she doesn't prefer to do it, she definitely can. Vess is capable of ending lives quickly and quietly. Be it with her Custom Pitons or her Shadow Strand. She prefers to choke someone unconscious, and feed them sleeping powder. But when it comes to monsters, she can take them with ease.

I've noticed we're a bit lacking on the tank side of things, so I'm thinking of making a paladin of Reon, too.
