"It lead off towards the guy's dorms." Lucas say's before Ris falls down, Lucas walks over to him and picks him up throwing Ris' arm over his shoulder he gets Ris standing up right. "Come on friend let's go get you some toast for now then we'll go get your donuts." Lucas walks Ris over to the table in the kitchen and sits him in one of the chairs, Lucas then goes and make Ris some toast and gets him a glass of Orange Juice. Placing the toast and juice in front of Ris he sits down in the chair next to him still waiting for Nick to tell how he got to the Academy.

Rebound nodded and said, "Sure. Uh, the cafeteria is this way." He turned down a hallway, passing several other rooms, some with students hanging out, and some that were empty. He looked sideways at Mia as she asked about the school. "Yeah, this is a school for those who have some sort of special ability or another." However, when she said something about how she thought that stuff was only in movies and books, he stopped. He frowned at her and said, "You're kidding, right? You mean you forgot that even?" He sighed, shaking his head. "You do know that you're one of those kids too, right? There's a reason you forget everything every few weeks you know." He looked thoughtful for a long moment, then he said, "You know, if you want, I can show you what I mean." He faced her then, putting his arms behind his back and he looked her in the eye, his face serious. "Try to hit me. Hit me as hard as you can. Several times, even. Don't worry, it won't hurt me, and it won't hurt you either." He let the smallest smirk grace his face. He liked showing off his powers, though, the list of people he was comfortable doing that around was very small. Mia happened to be on the list. He pointed to his stomach and repeated, "Come on, take a swing at me. Aim right here, as hard as you can."

Ryuu saw Lucas sit Rid down. She slid some of her bacon in front of him. He was as nice person, plus Ryuu had enjoyed talking him and she was almost done with her bacon now. Ryuu walked over to the fridge and opened it. She looked inside and eyed the meat. There was some but they should probably get more before the day was done. Ryuu shrugged and sat back down at the table, filing her talons.

Nick watched the events unfold with some amount of incredulity, as another boy arrived with a vengeance, screaming about missing doughnuts. Nick stared on quizzically as Lucas tried finding the doughnuts and doughnut boy summoned a ball of lightning and then promptly passed out. Nick didn't know what was stranger, the lightning or the fact that everyone was used to it. The bacon girl had come back, and it turned out that she had wings. It would explain the other dragon like qualities (her teeth and claws) and it was certainly impressive, but Nick wondered about the lightning guy passing out. He took a quick look around and noticed that no one in the kitchen was really fazed. Lucas, the dragon girl, even Pam. They didn't really react. Perhaps this was something he'd have to get used to. "Um..." Nick said tentatively. "Does he... do that often?"

"Yeah, thats his thing you know, last time he did that I think he broke the 72' plasma screen T.V. we had in the lobby." Lucas replies to Nicks question, "Again I gotta ask what made you come here?" he asks almost tiredly, with so many people gathering in the kitchen he gets up and begins to nervously pace back and forth, he then walks over to the cupboard, puts the lid back on his peanut butter and returns it to it's cupboard. Putting back on his gloves and hat he continues to pace.

"Ah, right." Nick said, remembering what Lucas asked him. "Hmm..." Nick ate another spoonful of cornflakes as he thought about it. Why had he come here in the first place? If he was honest with himself, he'd say that he didn't to die. It wasn't a bad thing, but it was kind of selfish, so Nick was somewhat reluctant to say it. But the reason he didn't want to die was partly because he didn't want to pull anyone into it. According to his parents, people who awoke strange powers had been dying in freak accidents, along with their families. House fires, car crashes, that sort of thing. Nick was reluctant to leave, because he didn't want to leave his world behind based on rumours, but he saw the worry in his parent's eyes. They didn't want anything to happen to him. Nick decided to leave, because even if he wasn't there, they could at least take solace that he was still alive. Ultimately, the reason he came to Riverwood was to live, but he didn't know what to do after that. What would he do? Would he spend his entire life in Riverwood? "Well..." Nick said slowly. "I just came here because my parents heard that I might get killed if I stayed." He decided that there wasn't anything wrong with saying that, because if the rumours were true, then there would be many in Riverwood with the same reason. But he had to confirm something. "Are the rumours true?" Nick asked. "That the government comes in to kill people like us?"

"The truest man the hunt us because we are different than normal we aren't like them so they hate us." Lucas say's straight faced. "Very rare is it that you come here on your own volition. I did and so did, Black I think was his name he also came here by himself."

"Well, that's still a good amount of people..." Nick said, thoughtfully. He was finished with his cereal, so he took the other piece of toast and spread some more jam on it. He took another bite as he resumed talking with Lucas. "But how many people are in this place, anyway?"

"Never counted but I think Black or Levi might know, although if you really want to know Levi is in the common room or lobby." Lucas turns to Ris and smacks him lightly on the cheek, "Dude wake up." He stops and turns back to Nick,"Yeah anyways people come in all the time so counting them would be difficult."

Pam was silent, eating her food, watching and listening to what everyone was saying, trying to concentrate on what was being said, as her abilities gave her what people looked like, as well as more of the environment around them. It sometimes threw her off, and it was better for her to be quite and focus through it. Lance gave a whine, as if sensing her difficulty, and he laid his head on her knee. She scratched him behind the ears and smiled, reassuring him that she was okay. So also found it easier to focus on Nick, as she had been around him longer then the other students. And he might understand the struggle she was going through. At the mention of why they were here, and the government killing people, Pam froze for a moment, before continuing to eat, but she only took a few more bites, and then pushed her food away. the fire flickered, violent and with a an intensity that frightened Pam. Lance barked, and pushed her, nudging her outside, even as she shouted to her parents... It was still so vivid in her mind, and she rose shivering lightly. "I'm sorry. I'm Pamela. um. I need to get some things from my room for the day. I'll see you all later" She said, hoping she sounded normal, and smiled, hoping it looked normal.

"Oh. Um, see you later?" Nick called after her.
Pam soon disappeared out of the kitchen, and Nick was sure that he'd said something wrong.

According to Lucas, someone was hunting 'strange' people down, and Lucas had mentioned that few came to Riverwood of their own volition. This meant that a lot of people must have had... bad experiences before coming here. And if the rumours were to be believed, then it wasn't exactly a topic to bring up at the breakfast table. In fact, he was starting to feel bad about bringing it up. He was sure that he shouldn't have brought it up, and he didn't know if he'd unintentionally hurt Pam or not.

Nick quickly swallowed the rest of the toast and put the dishes in the sink, which he'd probably come back to wash later. He wanted to see check if Pam was alright or not first, and made for the door.
"Well, thanks for the talk, Lucas, but I want to get some stuff too." Nick said, reaching the door. "We should hang out some time."
He shot a smile at the boy and girl still in the kitchen and walked out quickly, following Pam.

"Right later man." Lucas although less nervous now that a lot of the people in the kitchen left, wasn't really looking forward to hanging out with people later. He got up and went outside taking a long slow walk around the building hoping to whatever higher power was out there that he wouldn't have to stay around so many people, he was tired so he went to his favorite bush and lay on top of it.

Pam gave a nod and a smile, before heading out. While it was true she needed to get some things from her room, she didn't head there. She didn't know why she didnt, and Lance just looked at her, as she stood as if deciding something, before moving down the hall.

She just couldn't stop thinking about the fire. Had it been deliberately lit? Would she ever know? Would she ever find out if it was because people had hunted her? And why, why hadn't her parents listened to her? Those few precious hours could have saved them. They had never believed her abilities. And worse, she had been foolish enough to tell her parents at the store, where everyone could hear. And assumed she had set the place on fire deliberately.

She shuddered, once, twice, three times. She could never go home. She had no home to go to in anycase. At the sound of footsteps, she looked back, seeing Nick. She blinked, surprised he had come after her. She stopped, waiting for him.

"Sorry. It was probably rude to run off like that. I just...couldn't stay there" that was the truth, with the reasons omitted. She sighed softly "sometimes my abilities are burdensome"

"Hit as hard as I can?" Mia asked hesitantly, wondering if this was some sort of sick joke Rebound was playing on her. However he was right about one thing, this school has to be related to why she lost her memory and the idea of it being a school for those with special abilities sounded much better than her being in an asylum for teens and that this teen was trying to pull her into some messed up fantasy of his. Giving a hesitant punch towards Rebound, the young teen watched for any reaction from Rebound.

Like he said, Mia didn't feel anything that could remotely be registered as pain. "How is that possible?" She said with confusion as she gave three more punches, this time harder but was met with the same results. "That's pretty neat."

Smelling some nice aroma, his nose began to twitch as he began to form a smile. His hand grabbed out to the table, searching for the source. After several attempts and fumbles, he finally found the plate. On it, he felt something stringy. Ris opened his eyes to see the bacon before he put it to his mouth. The taste overwhelmed his senses, sending him to the back of his seat where he began to promptly melt. This was the first thing he had eaten in days.

He scratched his head with his free hand as he ate the food, trying to think how long it had been. He had been reading that book for the past day, then that other one...

He finally reached the solution to his question. It had been 4 days since he had eaten. Ris glowed as he found out the answer, but felt his stomach start to drop as he realized another problem. Oh, crap. His teachers are going to kill him and so will the students he may have pissed off. He wasn't very rational when hungry, but who is? He saw Ryuu sitting across from him, filing her talons. He hopped to his feet and exclaimed he was late as he ran out of the door.

The girl stumbled through the woods, barely even paying attention to where she was going at this point. How long had it been since she had been freed? She couldn't even remember how she had escaped. All she knew was that she had woken up in some place she was unfamiliar with, with things around her she didn't recognize her. Then the voice had spoken and been leading her for who knows how long, only letting her rest when the bright thing in the sky went down. What was that thing anyway? Just another object she knew nothing about. She had no idea where she was going and why she was going there. All she knew was that the voice sounded kind enough and hadn't left her side.

Her mind was so focused on other things, she hadn't noticed a wall in front of her and she ran right into it. Too tired to even be surprised, the girl simply looked around trying to figure out what was going on. Unbeknownst to her, the purple crystals on her wings glowed as small lights exited from them and moved to the closest shadow. Said shadow moved to the girl and began swallowing her up, causing her to panic as she sank further and further into it.

In Riverwood's infirmary, several shadows would move and form a portal on one of the walls, from which the girl came tumbling out. To anyone in the room, she must've made quite a sight. The girl was filthy, covered in dirt and cuts from head to toe. Her only piece of clothing, a simple hospital gown, was torn and shredded in several places and her hair fell in a greasy mess around her face. She was little more then skin and bones, since it had been some time since she had a decent meal. Anyone in the room would know she was a mutant due to the stick like wings coming from the girl's back, from which several crystals were hanging.

The girl simple looked around the room once before collapsing onto the ground, the trip through the shadows having drained the last of her energy.

Under one of the beds, something rose from the shadows and watched the girl, waiting to see what would happen.

Rebound's smirk widened at the compliment that Mia gave him about his powers. He thought it was pretty neat too. He raised an eyebrow and said, "You thought that was neat? Watch this." He walked over to the wall of the corridor, looking up and down the hallway. He would probably get in trouble if any of the teachers saw him destroying school property, but he knew of at least one teacher who could control stone, so it would be able to be fixed. Besides, weren't the people who ran this school loaded? They could afford some minor damage now and again. He turned towards Mia again, his smirk widening. "My ability is that I am able to absorb and redirect any amount of kinetic energy, or moving energy. Here, I'll use one finger and deliver the force of all of the punches you just gave me to this wall." He then quickly jabbed his finger at the wall, and the moment it touched the wall, a small spidery crack appeared in the wall, without his finger going into it at all. He frowned slightly and then smirked again. "Well, I guess your punches weren't that powerful. Here, I'll try again. This time, I'll use all of the energy I've collected just today." He held his finger up again, then once again quickly jabbed it at the wall. This time, the whole wall blew out in a hole about the size of a person, once again, without any follow through at all. It was like his finger had released a very localized bomb onto the wall, that affected only the wall. Several kids on the other side of the wall had jumped out of the way or ducked for cover, and Rebound's smirk grew slightly as they glared at him. He shrugged at them. "Sorry 'bout that." Luckily, none of them had been in the path of the blasting wall. -@Kirra

Intertwining his fingers together, Levi stretched his arms up before getting off the couch. He promised the nurse yesterday that he would help her out and organize the supply room after an unfortunate accident with a young kid with the power over wind blew the supply room and the adjoining room into chaos after a huge sneeze. Mishaps such as this was a common occurrence with most people still learning to master their powers. Although he knew he would have time later on to help out, he knew he rather get it done sooner than having to worry about it later. It would also give him the excuse to see the new arrivals in the infirmary. Luckily the infirmary wasn't too far away from where he was and as he made his way to the end of the hall in the infirmary, he passed one of the rooms that must have temporarily housed the new arrivals. Entering one of the rooms at the end of the hall, he entered a room that had more beds than the first few rooms, often used for less serious cases or those that already attended the school seeing that a room with more activity could often spook the new student compared to a quiet, single room.

He was surprised to see the room already in better shape than it was when he visited last night and guessed that it must have been one of the nurses working on cleaning the place up before the new students were rushed in and they became busy. Deciding to finish up the last bit of the mess in the room before tackling the supply room, got to work. He wasn't really sure how long he was working when something in the corner of his eye caught his attention. Turning towards the movement, he was surprised to see shadow-like creatures moving around, but took it as nothing more than one of the students trying to play a prank on him. He was about to see if he could find where the source of what he thought was either an illusion or some sort of shadow manipulation before he saw a young girl tumble out. This was no prank. "Oh jeez, what happened to you." Levi said with concern, dropping glass canister of cotton swabs he was holding when the girl appeared as he saw her start to collapse. He was too slow to catch her before hitting the ground, but was there moments later. "Hey, are you alright?" Levi said as he carefully turned her onto her back. "I'm going to move you to one of the beds, okay." He continued, uncertain if she was conscious enough to hear him.

~.~

Mia watched the wall, curious about what all Rebound could do after watching a crack splintered up the wall. Forming the crack was already amazing to her but when he said he could do more, the girl stepped back with caution. This turned out to be a good idea as she watched the blast. She was more amazed than apologetic as she saw the people react not too kindly to the blast. "Hey, I asked him to do that so don't be upset with him about it." Mia retorted, responding not too kindly to the negative attention. If it wasn't for her asking about powers he wouldn't have blasted the wall so she didn't feel right leaving him with all the blame.

"Hey!" A voice said from down the hall. Although she couldn’t see who it was, the voice sounded authoritative enough to belong to an older student or possibly one of the staff.

"Come on." Mia said, tugging Rebound's hand a bit before running down the hall. They probably would get in trouble down the road for their actions but it wasn't something that crossed Mia's mind at the moment.

The girl didn't reply, as she was completely out of it at this point and was developing a nice bruise on her forehead. She didn't even stir in the slightest when Levy picked her up and took her to the room of the infirmary that was actually being used. The nurses there didn't need much of a sign to know what needed to be done and they didn't ask questions. It wouldn't be the first time a student found themselves in Riverwood while in such terrible condition, though it was rare to see a patient this bad.

The nurses took the girl to an empty bed and pulled a curtain around it, keeping Levi on the other side. They would work for several minutes while one of the nurses left and came back after finding some cloths that might actually fit the girl. It would take about half and hour until the nurses pulled the cutains away. The girl was resting in the bed, the sheets pulled up to her shoulders. The nurses had cleaned her off and simply rinsed her hair to get the dirt off of her. Her cuts where all bandaged and treated. The more infected ones had been cleaned with some hydrogen peroxide to help kill the infection. The cloths the nurses had found were a plain white t-shirt and a pair of jeans along with the essentials.

Once their work was done, they left to go about their various businesses. The girl remained still, her breathing slow and steady. From under her bed, a shadow rose and slowly took a humanoid shape before looking down at the girl, as if examining her. After a few seconds, it began breaking into small lights that few under the covers and back into the girl's, hidden, wings. It would be several more minutes before the girl finally stirred again, letting out a groan as she slowly opened her cherry red eyes.

Pyrokinesis, the ability to control fire. This is what this psychopathic doctor was telling her that she was, or apparently, had. What was he thinking? Although, despite how insane he sounded, it might have made sense. After all, the room was randomly set ablaze. Could there have been people nearby that had done it? It happened too quickly. She bit her lip, bewildered and stunned. The Doctor smiled at her. "Don't worry, Ms. Gray, we'll take care of you." She said nor did nothing, but think if you touch me one more time, I'll cut you.

The Doctor left, just as a boy entered. "A pyrokinetic huh? I'm always welcoming to new people such as yourself. My name is Black, and I'm an umbrakinetic myself. How are you feeling?" What the hell was an umbrakinetic? Why was everyone using shitty jargon that existed in movies and shows? Did he think she watched this crap? Whatever; he was assisting her, and she needed someone's help as much as she loathed it. Josephine smiled politely at him and held her hand up to say 'wait'. When she did, she saw burn marks were encircling her hand like rings and bracelets. If she was a pyrokinetic, then she needed help controlling it. This would simply not do.

She tore the oxygen mask off and smiled sweetly now at Black. What kind of name was that? This so-called academy was weirder than she had imagined. "Hello Black. I'm Josephine and it's nice to meet you. I'm feeling pretty crappy right now. Thank you for asking. What about you? That wasn't a lie on how she felt. She sighed, her breathing lowering. Nonetheless, she resented the oxygen mask and refused to wear it. Josephine drummed her fingers weakly on the bed, awaiting a response. This brought her to wonder about her siblings: were they alive, and if so, where or how were they? Not that she cared about their well-being genuinely. It was out of curiosity. Perhaps her dumb sister had finally died. That would be a relief. As for Xander, that would be a lose since he was useful. Either way, she wouldn't miss them for anything. She had a super-power apparently and this was her time to shine.

"Well, I had me a boy, "Yeah," She mumbled with fury, clenching her fists. Sage saw an opened door and darted towards it with her on his heels. Sage darted into a clinic room and behind the door, almost yanking Ellie to his side. Ellowyn bit back a wince and pressed herself against the wall as their pursuer passed in a rage. Turned him into a man. I showed him all the things he didn't understand. Whoa, and then I let him go," The music blasted out of Ellowyn's earphones, which were loosely hanging in her pierced ears. She related more to the song than she had ever hoped she would. However, as she had grown up listening to it, the song was something she listened to frequently. The very person it reminded her of was sadly walking the same hallways as she. This didn’t enlighten her either. She concentrated on her surroundings, which she had zoned out of from listening to her music. The hallway was a few over from the clinic and cafeteria. The most comfort that she had daily was her music. It distracted her from the past. She looked away from staring ahead and down to her iPod and turned up the music. "Ex's and the oh's, they haunt me. Like ghosts, they want me to make 'em all. They won't let go, ex's and oh's,"

As if on cue, there was a ghastly figure in the mirror beside her. There were soulless black eyes, a disfigured face, with wounds in the body and shoulder's. Ellie inhaled and jumped back, simultaneously dropping her iPod. It clattered to the floor, clattering loudly. Thankfully, the iPod didn't break, but her concentration did as did her mood. The ghost disappeared into nothingness. Ellowyn stared, frightened. The ghosts were hard for her to control and popped up randomly. Usually, they were only around if she were by a reflective surface. This included puddles, mirrors, and even her iPod or computer screen. Ellowyn struggled to control it and push them away. She sniffled, slowing to a halt, and leaned against the wall. She put her iPod back and buried her head in her hands. This was driving her insane, slowly. Out of all super-powers, he’s had to be necromancy? Why not geekiness? She loved nature and plants. It figured, of course, that her power was something she was had to be scared about.

A tap on her head and Australian voice distracted her from her thoughts. Ellowyn jumped as she whirled around to face a brunette haired boy with the kindest blue-green eyes. He wore a white dress shirt with rolled sleeves, jeans, and a pair of boots. Ellie's sad expression brightened upon seeing him. This was her best friend in the entire academy: Sage Lockheart. She had met him on her first day when she was having a panic attack from seeing the ghosts. He had comforted her and introduced himself. Since then, they had been best friends. Occasionally, he would help her take care of her problem...

"What?" she asked, not remembering what he had said.
"I said good day, mate." Sage replied warmly, laughing softly and titling her chin up to look at her. "What's got ya down, sunny?"
"Oh, umm..." Ellowyn trailed off, her voice quiet and musical. Sage had told her it reminded him of wind chimes. She bit her lip, anxious, but decided to go for a lighter response instead. "You know, crappy cafeteria food."
"Damn straight. Don't think it's been that bad before, and I'm pretty sure the milk looked more appealing than Mrs. Blue." That was the cafeteria lady that served them daily and was always grumpy, also dressing out of their decade. Ellie laughed, knowing he was jesting. He always had a way of cheering her up without even trying. The digs thrown at Mrs. Blue were petty, yet the same woman had a knack for tearing them apart verbally. Sage smiled and hugged her. "That's the laugh and smile I remember. Now keep it."
"Just for you, Sage." He released he, then ruffled her hair.
"Thank you, Scar." He told her gently. Ellowyn smirked. Sage was the only person on the planet that could call her that and not have their butts kicked. After her "accident", as she called it, she had been left with scars that marred her face and down her upper body. It wasn't something she was proud of, nor reveled in. The scars only reminded her of that awful day and how it had changed her life. If it was for the better or worse, she didn't know. One thing she was sure of: she had gained a best friend she loved and cherished.
"Where to now, scar?" He quizzed, biting into an apple.
"I think we sh-"
"Ellowyn!" A sharp and nasty voice intervened, the carrier striding into the hallway in a way that caused her to think of rabid dog. Fear, then irritation, struck her. When would he learn?
"Out!" Sage yelled, grabbing her elbow and running off with her. Ellie ran after, trying her best to control her breathing. This was not her strong suit. Their pursuer, whose name she hated to recall, charged after them. One, two, hallways disappeared behind them in their effort to escape. "It's all your fault you little bitch! You're not getting away with it!"

"Yeah," She mumbled with fury, clenching her fists. Sage saw an opened door and darted towards it with her on his heels. Sage darted into a clinic room and behind the door, almost yanking Ellie to his side. Ellowyn bit back a wince and pressed herself against the wall as their pursuer passed in a rage. She relaxed once he was gone and let out a sigh of relief. "Until next time," She commented and shut the door gently behind her and looked over. Ellowyn paled, seeing there were people in the room. Two appeared to be siblings; a boy and a girl, and a visitor nearby them. "Oh, no, no, I'm so sorry." She spluttered, embarrassed and now upset. "We didn't mean to intrude, we just-"

"-Had to see the new students." Sage interrupted, smirking as he rubbed her back soothingly. Ellie sighed as he took the lead and remained silent, evaluating them. The girl was so pretty, and her brother looked handsome. It took the breath out of her. Perhaps Sage felt similar, because the way he looked at the girl, was unlike anyway he had looked at a girl before. "And arrived sooner than we anticipated and unexpectedly, too. My name's Sage, and this gal here is my Ellowyn." He smiled warmly, trying to avoid staring at the beautiful girl lying in bed. Something had happened to them, he realized, judging by her physical appearance. However, it was her business, and not his. Sage remained silent now, allowing them to react.
